I'll be eating it after my lunch, but still going to put it in here. I can't find rhubarb anywhere in any of it's suitable forms (or any other), so a bit of everything I could find and fancied in the local supermarket. I stewed up 4 plums and 4 apricots, then added blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. Put some oats in with the crumble as well. I shall be whipping up some cream to go with it.

I had forgot the Boro point deduction but I doubt that has much to do with this situation, Other than Gibson might still have daggers for Parry.
As for the threat to the EFL of being sued, both of us can speculate on that, but fwiw I don’t think it is as unlikely as you think. Indeed it is always possible Mel Morris is lining that up as his coup de grace. We really have no idea what is going on behind closed doors. This case has ballooned out of all proportion, and ultimately I suspect, along with the implications from Covid, it will bring about a huge reorganisational change by the member 72 clubs. The EFL is ducked.

He would've got Bielik back, we'd have done well like we did under Rooney for the 12 odd games he played. What didn't help is Cocu having to play an unfit, overweight and uninterested Rooney every game.

We are so very lucky to have University Hospitals doing this kind of research. It will be a great comfort to many in the NHS and Care Sector more generally to know that if there were ever to be a virus in this Country the quality of the mask they wear will be vital. I do hope this news filters down to the NHS Purchasing Department.

Found this earlier from when football was a lot simpler.  A good little watch . A pretty young Dave Mackay after about 7-8 minutes.
I can vaguely remember when going to football was just that rather than compiling dossiers on other teams auditors and accounts.
Sad but true, or maybe just exceedingly sad.

It’s a nice thought, but as put quite succinctly by @Tyler Durden I think you are wide of the mark. Even the EFL probably know it was a poor TV deal, particularly Rick Parry. Only that total arsepiece Shaun Harvey and Sky thought it was a good deal at the time.
We are where we are for 3 reasons:
    1) The Rams came up with an amortisation policy that was apparently without proper system or record. The evidence given by the club throughout suggests that it’s approach to valuing players was a bit ‘wet finger in the wind’ giving the impression that they might be gaming the figures for P&S advantage. We are yet to know whether that is or was the case, but I could have told you two years into their contracts that Butterfield, Blackman, Anya and Johnson were worth close to duck all.
    2) Steve Gibson thought he could nail us on the stadium valuation, and his threat to sue the EFL because Boro failed to get into the 2018/19 playoffs, led the EFL to throwing as much poo as they could at the Rams to make sure something stuck. As it happens only a small bit did, and that was for a charge they tacked on late at the start of the hearing process.
    3) The EFL administration are incompetent, and I don’t think they foresaw that the Rams would be as successful as they have been to date at keeping this matter to as low as a possible £100,000 fine. But by their subsequent actions and comments they have found themselves in a face saving position where they are desperately trying to hold on to their last strands of integrity, whilst also being bullied by a number of member club vested interests which means this process has effectively spun out of their control. I tell you, they must want this to end as much as we do.
Its a shambolic mess for all concerned unless you are 1) the Sky Finance Director or 2) the Sky Sports ‘rolling news’ Editor.

We're in constant cycle of nonsense until the EFL put a stop to it. A takeover likely wont happen until the inevitable appeal from the EFL is concluded. Nobody with a fully functional head would buy a football club at this point not knowing which division it will be in. You'd have to have rocks for brains to buy us unless the EFL actually turn around and say "if you take over we will not appeal".
The EFL process could take weeks or months, a time in which we are in a state of paralysis. If the appeal doesn't go the EFL's way they will no doubt look to drag it out beyond even that somehow and on we go, round and round ad nauseam.
For a governing body that professes to look out for its member clubs they do an absolutely shocking job of looking out for its member clubs.
