Kris Weckstrom? I don't think he was here for that long, but I'm short on Finns and it's not Simo.

Good to see you're laser focused on the pertinent issue as usual. Innocent people literally stabbed to death in the street, whatever, just part and parcel of living in a modern vibrant city. People saying nasty things online, now this is the real problem.

Here are 2 pictures of innocence, Coming back from a night out only to lose their lives, When the Murderers identity is released and if they turn out to be a refugee/immigrant...then these 2 young people will be forgotten in the fog of a story.
I don't believe any Political party put a knife in his hand or made him steel a van to kill people.
Lets not forget their names...Grace Kumar and Barnaby Webber

@GboroRam when you log on can you note Stive would like you to close down discussion on this thread. In fact, perhaps wipe the hard drive for him while you are at it. If you are good at IT could you have a look at his Twitter feed too. I don’t like the idea of him having information thrusted upon him. Perhaps there is simply a knob which you can dial down for him?

FWIW I have you down as part of the deluded metropilitan elite. Itching to debate the hot topics of the day with someone like @Stive Pesleyover a latte and croisant in a boho cafe house on a leafy street in Islington.
Which for the record is perfectly fine, and amuses me greatly. Have a good day and enjoy your broccoli pangrattato pasta dish later. Delicious!

State of the replies on this tweet. I won't have anyone tell me that GB News isn't just stoking race hatred for clicks, or that Twitter isn't just  a cesspit of racism these days

What could be more hate filled and moronic than indiscriminately killing innocent people ? This topic is less than one page in and it is turned into free speech and politics / facism , if gb news have reported lies or untruths then I will be disgusted with them or anybody else who does that
at this point I am going to hold back from being drawn into this same old garbage and stay with the tragedy of lost lives , the pain of they’re families and how the hell this has happened

I think it's because people don't want to have to constantly use six syllables when Alexander-Arnold is on the ball. Super hard mode for commentators would be a team of English zoomers all with double barrelled surnames against Georgia.

3rd time lucky for Mark Watt who after seeing Dawid Malan dropped twice off his bowling this morning, finally gets him out from a stunning catch from Suranga Lakmal, which belies everything we've seen from the veteran bowler during his time in Derbyshire.
Lakmal gone off the field to recover from the exertion.

Right arm aloft for a few seconds and a gentle jog back to my own half. No point in wasting energy. First ever game aged 7, last 11 a side at 53. Half of my games were as keeper but I've played all positions at one time or another.

Exactly this. Looked far easier in the second hour, trouble was all the proper batsmen had gone.

Foster did say that the ball was doing plenty and there was a good deal of moisture in the pitch early doors. Even if that was the case, Derbyshire need to not fold like a pack of cards every time we face adverse conditions. Someone has to stand up and see out that first hour.

How do you know his commanding wasn't a choice of Lampard/Given?

Carson was one of the worst keepers in the league in 18/19, hence we was dropped in the first place. He was a shadow of himself that season, that's what people are forgetting. Carson was absolutely shocking in 18/19.
    For comparison in 18/19.
                                  Roos          Carson
    Games                  16               30
    Clean sheets        6                 5
    Save %                 71.4            63.9
    GA/90                   0.87           1.33

Carson conceded 8.5(!!!!!!) more goals than he should have in his 30 games, that is appalling. Roos also had a clean sheet more despite playing 14 less games.

I don't agree with that. It would have been worse. If a bloke groomed a young girl until she was of age, it would have been made a way bigger deal of.

I'd argue that percentages are valid here. Without context a 5 or 6 point gap seems like nothing, but we have to consider that we're dealing with sides who are so bad that every point is weighted with far more significance.
An extreme example would be that a 3 point basketball game would be considered extremely close, whereas a 3-0 football game is a canter for the winners.

Whilst I'm more than happy to read/listen to/accept/respect your opinion, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with your reference of "Trying to make it sound worse...".  As if I have some sort of agenda?  🤷‍♂️
I can assure you I wasn't trying to do anything other than explaining my own thought process behind my opinion... and I hasten to add, my opinion on this subject is far from strong... no more than a brief chat with mates, purely because it's on topic.  I'm on no soap box here, for the record!
But I do hold the belief that both 45% and 55% (respectively) being described as "extremely close" is a tad far-fetched.  Apologies if that upsets/offends you in anyway.  🐏🍻

Don’t think it will happen and I hope it doesn’t. Want Luton to stick it up the premier league due to all the snobbery around their promotion, particularly from red dogs who think they’re Billy big b******* and getting in Europe next season

I think Aldous Huxley was nearer to the mark than Orwell, sadly
Orwell envisioned the masses subject to forceful suppression with those who tried to question it being crushed by the state. Not many rebels about and when they do show up, they are dismissed as idiots.
Huxley, on the other hand, described a society where the masses were mostly docile. Soothed by modern pleasures, mollified and amenable to control. He said that the pacification of the masses would be gradual with people blissfully unaware of their own complicity. Seduced by technology’s shiny baubles.
    What do you reckon?

How was his stint at Derby a failure? His first stint at Chelsea shouldn't be regarded as a failure in my opinion either. I agree that he's looked clueless in his last two jobs though. This current disaster at Chelsea has severely damaged his job prospects and I think the best he can hope for is a mid to lower table Championship club. I think saying the Chelsea players haven't been great is vastly underselling the situation. They are a squad of lazy, overpaid, prima donnas, robbed of motivation by the ludicrous contracts handed out by Boehly. Lampard can't have too many complaints because it was clear what was happening before he took the job, but he's the third manager these players have hung out to dry this season alone. They are the only constant in this situation and I'd be fuming with them if I were in Lampard's shoes.

Think Lampard's time as manager has soured due to bitterness how he left and his record in management at Everton and Chelsea part 2.
The season in isolation was enjoyable, we played attacking football and we witnessed a good cup run and a memorable night in Leeds.
Yes, he fluffed up the final, yes he sold us down the river in the summer, could a Warnock type manager have got us up with the same funds given? Maybe. But I think anyone saying he failed or that he did a bad job with us are being swayed by the above reasons.
