MackworthRamIsGod got a reaction from r_wilcockson in Lee Buchanan - Gone to Werder Bremen
I can honestly say this is the 1st year in a long time that I have no anxiety about anyone leaving. As much as I would like to keep Buchanan, Knight and Sibley i wouldn't lose sleep if anyone left.
Bielik is the one I'd be gutted if we sold and no one is going to buy him just yet.
Buchanan playing so little would suggest he was being saved. England under 21 full back, full of promise, Bristol City would command 13 million, so we would probably be looking at 3 rising to 5 million.
Knight a full international, one of Republic of Irelands shining lights, another 3 to 5 million.
Bird and Sibley couple of million a pop.
If ever there was a time the academy was the future (or lifeline) for the club, it is now!

MackworthRamIsGod got a reaction from Derby blood in Alex Pritchard signed for Sunderland
I was chatting to a mate the other day, we were talking about the 3 amigo days and just how badly we were financially.
But then we remembered we managed to sign players like Idiakez, Raziak, Reich, Bisgaard, Tommy Smith etc. Even in those dark days we managed to sign some good players and very nearly made it.

Can I just point out the factual error from the article that was posted, it said one point would send us down, it would not as our goal difference is better than Wycombe’s.

I personally wouldnt have been so rooster sure when taking over.
I always remember Mel being on Soccer AM in the inland days after his takeover and the interviewer went to ask a question that started "if you are promoted to the premier league...", Mel actually stopped him and said "Not if, when..."
I remember cringing at the time as it was so cocky and you just knew it would backfire.

According to the Athletic the EFL want a points deduction this season.
As if the EFL have waited until the season ended before deciding how to relegate us.
They operate like a footballing mafia.

Why? If I was in charge Buchanan would be 13 million and I would be commanding a lot more for Sibley and Knight. Those valuations are based on our general crapness when it comes to selling players. And the fact I wouldnt lose sleep if we lost the mentioned players, after this year I honestly think the club needs a great reset and I wouldn't be upset to lose anyone if it meant saving the club.
If I was in charge of Derbys recruitment back when we were splashing cash i would moved heaven and earth to sign Tom Cairney from Blackburn, a player I rated before he made a name at Fulham, Sergei Canos when he was at Liverpool and Alan Judge at Brentford. Whether they would have signed for us is another thing of course.

MackworthRamIsGod reacted to Mihangel in Henry Gabay
The only thing that you can 'assume' is that Gabay had a charge on the company GELLAW NEWCO 202 LIMITED meaning you can also assume he lent the club a sum of money at that time. That may, or may not, have been paid off as it is quite common for the charge being satisfied not being registered on companies house.
I've said before, the great unwashed and Kieran Maguire should stay away from companies house until they've proven they understand the data.

Are we to assume payments have not been met and the club has automatically transferred to Gabay?
As much as I cant see that being the case, it would top off a cracking week.

I understand your view but don't forget @dmin that clears debt means lots of little businesses in Derby, people's lively hoods are lost. Its not a nice process.

I'm actually the opposite, if Mel actually allows someone like Alonso to takeover the club I am done
People saying yesterday was a bad day for the club, I wouldnt say it was that bad after Alonso embarrassed himself so much.

There doesnt seem to be any rules against chairman who like to intimidate referees with the odd occasional fire bomb.
I reckon we are golden with murder.
