Oh I didn't say it had any effect on me 😀
I would add that not everything has to polarised opposites. You can criticise Warne without calling for him to be sacked. You can question our budgets without wanting to spunk £6m on Bradley Johnson. You can suggest we have bought very slow. CB without personally trying to melt him down for glue. Most people are putting together constructive criticisms and are being met with scorn and personal attacks.
The main issue is we have a manager who wants to play a high tempo pressing game and we have bought slow, ageing players to add to an already slow ageing squad.
If anyone has a convincing solution to that quandary, which involves a slow back line and a pedestrian CM supporting slow CFs in a successful and cohesive high press, I'll have more faith.
Till then I'll remain a sceptic.

I was one on this forum against having Warne as the Manager when Rosenior got elbowed out the door. I'm not going to state we could have done better with Liam, that we will never know. My biggest moan was forum members were all bleating on about his 3 promotions with Rotherham, but failed to mention the 2 relegations. They had a team that basically were good enough to compete at the top end of League one but got found out in the Championship.
Now that Warne's been a manager for approx 6 years and seems to have one style of play (3 at the back with wingbacks), it looks like other coaches know how to beat it. When Warne first took over at Derby, with the squad he inherited he could not play 3 CB's and played more often with 4 at the back. We shot up the league, looked odds on to finish easily in the top 4 positions. Then he tinkered with the team and we finished 7th.
I for one, was gobsmacked that he was appointed with a 4 year contract, getting rid now or later this season will cost the club (financially). I will still follow and support the team and hope we do get promotion come the end of the season, but this manager needs to have a plan B when his high press energy game with 3 CB's is'nt working in certain games.

Yes, it would be the best for the club if we fail to get promotion that Warne and his coaching staff just sever their contracts and walk away.

Looking at our current back line including the wingbacks, it's mainly fresh faces that have come in. Yes, there will be mistakes with stray back passes and misunderstandings on positioning of defending etc. Until they get to play and train more, that's when the cohesion will develop. We've played 2 matches against 2 teams that were playing in the Championship last season and conceded 4 goals of which 3 were defensive mistakes. If it continues within the next 4 to 6 games, then Warne needs to sack his defensive coach.

The sales of a Bielik or Knight may well facilitate some transfer dealings, but the club said there was room within the budget and business plan in January, the EFL have allegedly agreed some amendments to that plan, and we have released players since the season ends so I don’t think ALL our transfer business will be waiting on player sales.
Warne has said in interviews since joining the club he likes to keep transfer business quiet. He has spoken in interviews since the last season ended and prior to that point that conversations were taking place with regards to recruitment.
Just because nothing is out there in the public domain does not mean the club aren’t working on signing players.
We all love hearing a rumour and speculating as to who we’re going to sign, but there’s no control for any of us fans over what actually happens in that regard. There’s no sense getting wound up by it now.
The players aren’t due back for pre-season training for a couple more weeks, the season doesn’t start for a few weeks after that, so long as we have recruited players by that point we’ll be fine for your expectations of “hitting the ground running”.
There are lots of players out there on free transfers, there are lots of players out there under contracts who we may be interested in, there are lots of youngsters out there who may be available for loans, and we have a stronger foundation to build upon currently. Patience is key for us fans and trust that the club are making the appropriate moves.
I have a question for you and other concerned souls out there, do you really believe Paul Warne, the recruitment fella, Stephen Pearce and David Clowes are currently sat around idle not doing anything towards next season’s squad? Consider their responsibilities, job roles and everything they have said about needing to strengthen.

Good post, I was speaking to my brother after the game today and he made similar comments to what you have stated. Getting promoted whilst under some sort of business plan (Alleged to be reviewed soon) would have seen us struggle in the Championship.

How does observing the facts of where we were last summer make people dull?
It is a contributing factor to how we’ve done this season, as is the good form when we went unbeaten, and the bad form when we couldn’t buy a win, and the poor finishing, and the good finishing, and the rubbish goals we’ve conceded, and the clean sheets, and the poor officiating, and the slices of good luck, and so on and so forth.

You’re right in that next season it will be less of a factor, people referencing it this season is entirely relevant.

I read somewhere that a few weeks back, there had been dialogue between the club and EFL and any review would not take place until the season had finished and also which league Derby would be in. The Rams have made money this season and it was better than the expected business plan that was agreed between the club and the EFL.
I feel the Business Plan will be reviewed and some restrictions will be altered, but we will have to wait and see. Hopefully the review is done ASAP, so the club can do some early recruitment.

Good stats to look at: One with Derby in the play-offs and one with Peterboro. Interesting to see we currently have lost the least, unless we lose at Wednesday, then its all square. Peterboro record is pants  having lost 4, lets hope it stays that way.

I know Peterboro have won more games than the Rams, but do they deserve to have a chance in the play-offs having lost a massive 17 matches. It would be a travesty if we fail on Sunday afternoon and the Posh nick it. I'm hoping we win at Wednesday, Peterboro result won't matter and Bristol Rovers beat Bolton. I fancy the Rams against Barnsley over 2 legs especially having the home game first.
So come on Derby, beat Wednesday and lets see where it takes us.

plymouthram reacted to Jayram in It’s been a great season …regardless.
After the torture of last season I felt an enormous connection to the club and when DC bought us I knew right away he was going to be the right owner for us. I therefore bought my first season ticket in 28 years, renewed my away membership and even bought a subscription to the programme.
I’ve been to away matches in places I’d never heard of, sang my heart out with people half my age and had an absolute blast. I’ve felt emotional looking across the stands at the numbers of Rams fans who have packed in home and away to watch the likes of Morecambe or Forest Green, and I’ve gone back to talking about teams selection or the form of certain players rather than worrying about whether we would still have a club.
Despite my personal reservations about PW I think we’ve had an amazing season considering where we were last summer and can’t wait for next season, regardless of what division we’re in. Whatever happens I’ll be renewing my ST and away membership and doing it all over again in 23/24.
