What we do have, is a proven academy and probably the best outside the Premiership. Any young talent that is looking to make in football would look at Derby County if their parents had any sense.  Those who went to an Academy side in the Premiership were always up against more competition and its been proven with Luke Plange being released by Arsenal and Louie Watson at West Ham, then improving at Moor Farm.
We have created a top class youth academy that will continue to attract young talent for years to come. The man to take the credit is Darren Wassall.  The manager that brought him to Derby from Burton was Nigel Clough, so he must also take some credit, Nigel was sacked in September 2013 but had stated in the March of 2013 "The Academy should almost be ring fenced and whoever comes in next, I hope they have the sense to leave it alone and let it continue working".  I'm not going to list the players that have made it from academy status to either Premiership, Championship or lower proffesional leagues. The list is quite big, but I will mention one player who I thought could have made it with the Rams, Timi Max Elsnik who made only the 1st team in the Carabao cup but went on loan to a few clubs before being released and is mow playing for Olimpija Lujbljana in the top flight of Slovenia and recently made his debut for Slovenia in Octoberthis year.

What makes you think “the kids” that are good enough to be bloodied in the first team will still be around next season?
Maybe some of our best saleable assets are actually the kids.
For me, I’d say keep on fighting but continue to play the youngsters alongside the more senior players. They’ll learn a lot over the coming months.

14 wins could be possible (14 home games and 13 away to go). We need to beat the teams in the bottom half of the table and win a big percentage of our home fixtures. QPR, Blackpool, Sheff Utd, Brum, Hull, P'boro, Millwall, Barnsley, Preston, Bristol and Cardiff at home are all winnable games. Away games that are possible winnable matches, Bristol, Cardiff, Reading, Forest, Swansea and QPR. We would have to pick up about 5 draws to finish the season on 48 points which might keep us up.

The way I see it, Peterboro and Barnsley are going to get relegated. So we need to look at Reading, Cardiff, Hull, Bristol, Sheff Utd, Preston, Forest and Luton. One or even two will have bad form for most of the season, we need to get results against these teams as well as pulling off some more results against sides at the top. We are not down until it's mathematically impossible to stay up.

I would think playing a striker in a game is that they can score goals. I was'nt making a point, I just was'nt aware he was injured. He played the full 90 mins in the match against Blackburn, so possibly took a knock or got injured in training after that match. Lets hope he can make a recovery so Wayne does have other options before any others get injured in the striking positions.

Was mentioned that he could be back at the end of next month. If we get a lower league side in the F.A cup, that would be the game to bring him in for 90 mins.

I also went to that game and was in the boys corner (I always thought it was called the boys end) I remember at one stage of the match, George Best being close to the line within touching distance of where I was standing (at the time he was one of the players I worshiped and wish he was a Derby player). I was gobsmacked that we had beaten the great United team that had only 2 years earlier won the European cup, brilliant game to have been at to on that Saturday afternoon.

Call me a romantic fool, but I think getting behind the team, chanting the players names along with Wayne's will inspire the team and unhinge Bournemouth, who probably did'nt want this international break to stop their momentum. 3-0 to the Rams with the fans chanting and singing " You'll never kill the Derby"
