DCFC1388 got a reaction from jimtastic56 in New signings, who will be first...and next?
Would gladly take him on loan, Alex Mighten too although I would think he will be around their 1st team

DCFC1388 reacted to IslandExile in New Kits 22-23 Season
Until there is, let's go the Barcelona/UNICEF route and use the space to advertise the "Family Fund", a local foodbank or some other noteworthy cause.

DCFC1388 got a reaction from Derby4Me in Krystian Bielik - Joined Birmingham on a 3 year deal
Watford would be a better move for him, back down to Londom & more of a chance of them going up & maybe making it permanent

DCFC1388 got a reaction from Premier ram in James Chester - Signed 1 year deal
I thought positionally he did alright, there was ome occasion they had 3 on 2 with Iheanacho and Chester mamsger to position himself so he tried a throughball which went straight to Wildsmith. The whole defence held a high line not just Chester.

DCFC1388 reacted to MACKWORTHRAM in New signings, who will be first...and next?
I agree. If we had this starting 11 all season, no injuries, no fatigue. We'd be fine.
Squad depth is a worry at the minute. If last night showed anything it's when we do get injuries some of the replacements are nowhere near good enough.
But LR knows this and has someone has said already if we get these in. Then we can and should be pushing for the top 6. You need 2 players for every position. You can't really have 3 just incase you get injuries in the same position. At the minute we're almost there.
GK - Wildsmith, Loach, New GK
RB - New RB, Oduroh
CB - Davies, Chester, Cashin, Stearman (Roberts if needed)
LB - Roberts, Forsyth
CDM - Bird, Smith, Bielik (Still convinced he will be gone but hews here now)
CM - Hourihane, Knight, Thompson, Robinson
LW/RW - Mendez-Laing, Barkhuizen, Sibley, Knight (The last 2 can play there but not their best position. I'd play Knight over Sibley there given the choice) A new winger will come in. Maybe Robertson.
ST - Collins, Mcgoldrick, Stretton. Mcgoldrick could probably play on the wing. In all fairness we tend to get our width from the full backs and the wide players in the front 3 drift inside. So Mcgoldrick is definitely an option there.
So looking at it, Right back, Winger, Striker and a keeper will be the 4 Rosenior wants.
My only worry is the midfield could go from being really good to pretty average with a couple of injuries.
Get those 4 signings in and we should have enough for a top 6 push.

I wonder if a right back wont/cant be signed until the Byrne issue is resolved

DCFC1388 reacted to Magicman in Alfreton Town vs Derby County (Match Thread)
On the positive side Korey Smith impresses as do the two trialists Roberston & Lo Everton who look bright, tidy & a threat . Stretton & Sibley caused little threat all night does Stretton carry a bag of cement ?.

What this game is showing is that we really have no depth in attacking areas.

2 long balls over the top, neither dealt with and results in 2 goals, very simple & very poor

No I agree mate.
He's nowhere near it. I don't think Thompson is either.

It's not negativity, if they aren't good enough then they aren't good enough. It was the same with Whittaker. If we don't see it in the first team then you can't keep giving him chances. Not all of our academy players will make it.

But these are the players we could see as soon as we get an injury.
One to Collins and Stretton is the next striker. Stretton needs a league two loan.
Slightly worried Rosenior only wants 4 more.

DCFC1388 got a reaction from RoyMac5 in New signings, who will be first...and next?
With McGoldrick in the team I would go Smith RB as he has experience there and Hourihane can play next to Bird.
Otherwise id go Knight RB, Smith CDM and Hourihane CAM

DCFC1388 reacted to Millenniumram in Penalties
Collins, without a doubt. We’ve signed him to be our main goal threat, so it makes absolute sense that he’s the one to take the penalties. Got experience with them throughout his career, with a good record too - scoring 25 and only missing 7.
Should always be the responsibility of your main striker to take penalties imo. Lawrence was a bit of an exception, as his penalty record was outstanding on the rare occasion he got to take one, but more technical players like him can often overthink penalties and be a bit dubious with them. Craig Bryson, for example - great strike on a football, but a woeful penalty taker. If Collins isn’t on the pitch for whatever reason, then Barkhuizen is probably the next best shout.

DCFC1388 reacted to YorkshireRam in Kyle Joseph, signed for Oxford.
He's 20 years old and would likely be coming in as backup to Collins... any wonderkid loanee would come with the expectation of starting most games so wouldn't fit our brief.
Why do some people instantly write anyone off that isn't bagging 20 goals a season from u8s?

I am hoping GK RB W ST, plus Forsyth renewal

DCFC1388 got a reaction from TomTom92 in New signings, who will be first...and next?
Based off Nixons & Roseniors comments I have had a look at young attacking players in Prem first team squads for preseason. Below are some names I have come across, some teams I struggled to find their squads or they had no young attacking players involved (that I could see). Obviously some are more realistic than others -
Arsenal - Balogun
A Villa - Archer
Brentford - X
Brighton - Encisco, Sarmiento, Ferguson
Bournemouth - X
Chelsea - X
C Palace - Ebiowei, Plange, Gordon, Mooney, Cadogan
Everton - Mills
Fulham - X
Leeds - Bogusz, Summerville, Poveda, Perkins, Greenwood
Leicester - Wright, McAteer
Liverpool - X
Man City - Palmer, Kayky, Bobb, McAtee, Knight, Delap
Man Utd - Diallo, Pellistri, Chong, Mejbri, Garnacho
Newcastle - Anderson, Turner-Cooke
N Forest - D. Taylor,
Southampton - X
Tottenham - X
West Ham - Okoflex

DCFC1388 got a reaction from Anag Ram in New signings, who will be first...and next?
I went with players in the the preseason squads, from what I can see Scarlett wasnt in Spurs squad, not vs Rangers anyway. Same for Kaide Gordon not in Liverpools.
Rosenior said in Prem first teams.

DCFC1388 reacted to vonwright in Nathan Byrne - Joined Charlotte FC
The really annoying thing is that Byrne is exactly the player we need. He was one of our best players last year, super-consistent, never injured, and offered a threat carrying the ball forward from right back.
Such a shame it's come to this.

DCFC1388 reacted to EnigmaRam in Craig Forsyth - Signed one year contract
I think Roberts has been one of most consistent players so far pre season. I would expect them to be battling for the place as anyone should
