I'd love us to build a young hungry team too. But that's not the pond we're fishing in. Plus, you need some battle hardned veterans in the midst of it.
We were limited to £6k/w whilst under administration. Unknown what it'll change to once we leave admin, but I can't imagine it'll be much above £10k/w for this season at least, if not into next season.
We also don't want to block the paths of the young players that are still here. I'd be amazed if they're all still here, but the team still contains Bielik, Bird, Knight, Sibley, Stretton, with contracts offered to Cashin, Thompson and a host of others.
Hourihane is only 31. Chester is 33. I'd say they're good ages for their respective positions, hardly old. Barkhuizen, also linked, is 28. That's only 3 of the 10 signings quoted. They might also be the three oldest.
I get your concern with wages, the last thing we want is a repeat, but it just won't happen under the EFL's business plan.

Calm down. One of the reasons we did so well under Lampard was because we had a great mix of youth and experience. We had the talent in Wilson, Mount, Tomori, Bogle etc. but they were also helped along by the experience and elder statesmen such as Keogh, Bryson, Johnson, Huddlestone, Nugent, Cole, I could go on...

Omar Niasse is someone we were linked with heavily in the past, played for Burton too, wouldn't be suprised if he was training with us.

We've been in administration almost a year, we've not been able to make a signing for god knows how long, we were on the brink of not even having a club anymore.
We finally look like we might be coming out the other side and some of our fans are moaning about potentially signing Conor Hourihane in league one.
Some of our fans really are something else. Give me strength.
 

Part of the same Hull City side as Davies and Rosenior, as was Odubajo briefly I think. Rosenior could have some pull with former teammates and his own contacts within the game. Hopefully we can get some of these rumoured players signed up…takeover first of course 

So 9n the may wages and how they were paid, I might be being dense (probably) - but the suspended 3 point deduction is for failing to pay wages, but the wages were paid?
The question is, was anything improper done in how the wages were paid?
Even if so, wouldn't that be a separate matter for the FA/League to investigate? You can't just say "it was fishy that the may wages were paid, you get 3 points deducted anyway".
I'm also being dense, even if Stretford footed the bill, how did he do that and what evidence of any agreement is there? Must've been done on the presumption CK was going to successfully but the club.

Now I’m not saying I have any ITK knowledge but I’ve just been told that the takeover is completed and may be announced this evening.

It was always going to be unlikely for him to stay, I think Rooney leaving will have ended any slim chance of TL staying.
West Brom under Bruce could go one of two ways, a chance for promotion to the Prem or mid table Championship mediocrity, best of luck to him either way.
He’s got some talent, and some glaring blots on his copy book, but I wish him well. Had a good season last year, a few moments of brilliance in the past, not his fault we paid big money and silly wages he couldn’t consistently live up to.

As much as I like Knight, for me he just doesnt suit a 4231 formation and could command a decent fee, so I think should be sold to fund any incomings
