"I want to press, I want to get the ball back high, I want to stop counter-attacks, keep attacks going and for that you have to press, you have to be athletic but fundamentally you have to be really good on the ball and I think the lads have been really conducive to what we’re trying to do."
Athletic and a high press, being good on the ball and keeping attacks going are exactly how I want us to play. Let's hope we'll start seeing this on Saturday. We saw this sometimes under Lampard. I remember the Marriott goal at Old Trafford was the inevitable result of incessant pressure - we were unstoppable. They couldn't live with the waves of attacks.
I don't want to see us with the ball around the opposition box only to try to funnel it back to Wildsmith to start again. I don't want to see freekicks in the opposition half get funnelled back to Wildsmith to start again. Ditto throw-ins. If we're to be promoted we have to start looking in the right direction.

I’m massively impressed by how he spoke during the presser, sounds likeable, relatable, open and honest. Spoke in realistic and pragmatic terms about the club, the squad and the league, especially pleased to hear him address some of the public concerns raised around playing style (“when you have footballers you play football, athletes you play to their strengths, we’ve got footballers who will soon realise how good they are as athletes too” a bit paraphrased there ?) and his post match comments when we stayed up (it was an emotional moment for him as his mate was relegated).
I also admire his honesty about the Rosenior situation, more realism in that he acknowledged LR’s good work and talent but that it would have been unworkable for him to stay on the staff. 
Most impressive for me though, was the conviction with which he spoke, he knows himself well, knows his team of staff and believes in what he has to say. There were times when LR spoke and said the right things, being so likeable I wanted to believe him, but the conviction was missing in his voice. Warne has that conviction which will hopefully help him succeed with the Rams. Interesting times ?

So last night there was a 'rumour' that Warne was a candidate to replace Rosenior who had been relieved of his duties as interim manager.
Today, Warne becomes Head Coach and 3 of his staff move as well. 
Dont know about anybody else but I dont make decisions about my next employment in a matter of hours. 4 people have clearly been speaking to their families for days about this change in their lives. Doesnt seem a snap decion by Clowes, been simmering for a while me thinks

Pretty sure that was under Lampard, I remember the link... Barlaser was on loan at Accy from Newcastle and played against us for Accy in the FA Cup game that Lampard was manager for.

Heartfelt thank you to you Liam. The way you helped bring the club together and your work bringing in so many quality players in a short space of time will not go forgotten. Disappointing and sudden end but you'll always be welcome back at Derby.

I don't think it was a knee-jerk reaction on David Clowes' part.
I think he's been carefully considering since he took over.
Obviously he will see more than you or I.
I have confidence in him and his decision.

About what I thought to be honest. We brought lots of quality players in, and kept some quality players but common sense always dictated that the best team would only emerge after a period of time rather than instantaneously. Couple this with the fact that we have a rookie manager and patience was always going to be needed.
With the players we have the fans are entitled to expect us to win home games but we should also expect better results away from home which is possibly the only disappointing aspect of the season so far.
I thought that it was a big plus yesterday that Rosenior clearly changed the way we played the game because its not easy for any manager, especially a young one, to accept that he has to change his tactics.
Overall a good start with plenty of promise for the rest of the season.
