Don't get this stance   - its pompous and unfair to players. On this basis players give the ref hundreds of opportunities each game to  make a poor decision  and players can't be thinking all the time "I mustn't give the ref an opportunity to make a poor decision". That's not how players think when they are playing, they are focussing on other things. Wildsmith won't have been thinking "I mustn't come out of my area cos the ref might make a poor decision " , he was having to think quickly how to deal with a bad error by his defender. In any case he wasn't going for the ball with his hands so what exactly did he do wrong ( in the possible hand ball part of the incident).

To be fair the ref can't really see and linos often don't flag without checking first. Given we don't know what communications took place between the officials the accusation of'cheat' can't be justified no matter what we might think of the red card decision.

Have you not been on forums very long?

even in the days of BBC606 before this forum existed it was exactly the same.

Forums are always way more busy after a loss because it’s one of very few vessels we have to vent our frustrations. If we’re not in the pub or on Twitter then this is the only place to get it out your system so you don’t ruin the weekend for your other half.

after a convincing win everyone is happy and there’s no need to vent and get anything out of your system.

this will be true on every single clubs fan base not just ours.

Sticking with a manager has some well know historical examples where it proved the right choice. But it  happens hardly anywhere in the EFL or Premiership these days reflecting  commercial realities. The club may have to do what others do as a matter of survival. Clowes has an investment to protect.

Hes on borrowed time and Clowes has a decision to make and whichever it is , its gonna cost him a shed load of money.
Keep warne on and crowds will drop, 4/5k drop at £20 ahead is nearly 100k a game.
Sack him, then you need to pay him and his assistant's their contracts.
Big decision, but personally I'd get rid. It looks like he's lost the dressing room, the fan base are turning on him at a rapid rate.
Even more so is that with each game our assets who will command a fee ( Bird/Cashin) look lost in this anti football warne has adopted and there price is dropping.
We need a club that has youngsters coming through and we still have rooney,Thomson, sibley along with bird and cashin who I would want to build a team around but it requires a manager who understands technical abilities and Warne is one who doesn't.

Contracts still mean nowt even if David Clowes is determined to run things properly. As a business, the club is results dependent. The statement  "Warne will be here for at least the next 3 years" has no merit. Its built on quicksand. It's a hope. but no more. If we have a brush with relegation this season Warne will be gone.

I find Warne unappealing as a manager and don't like his style of play. But I am not calling for him to be sacked. What I do find unacceptable is what I see as his complacency. Last year after a very good run mid-season, we fell away and fell into a pattern where we found it hard to win games. Though we only just missed out on play-off places, we could all see that the team was not playing that well. His emphasis for  the new season should be about us needing to improve and he needs to take responsibility for our performances, unlike what he said after Tuesday's game, publicly suggesting the blame lay with particular identifiable players. He and his management team still have to prove themselves and not all managers can transfer success at one club to a new one.

But there you are just ignoring the actual history  - Clough had been very critical of Leeds manager and players well before he moved there. Nowt to do with his management style.

Such a class bloke in comparison with his predecessor. I hope he is enjoying things
right now because the pressure to succeed next season will be so much greater than it has been for his first year.

Sentiment should not affect decisions about playing staff. We need to get things right next season on the pitch and from what we have seen from him this season will he be up to the physical demands we expect e.g his lack of pace? We should appeal the red card for the sake of the poor refereeing and get it called out. We don't have to argue it cost us a play-off place.

Probably going to sound like a miserable old git and broken record here but...today epitomised the state of todays game and why I feel so disconnected to it.
We had mid table opposition with literally nothing to play for and still they were time wasting and feigning injury!
Think the most embarrassing moment of the season was when their centre back was rolling on the floor pretending to be injured until he realised the referee was ignoring him so he got back up and just carried on as normal.
The game is in a real bad state.
