Shipley Ram got a reaction from loweman2 in 8th January
You are spot on, this game had the greatest atmosphere of any match I have been too. I did go to a game in the 1975 championship season but can't remember being champions, I started going regularly in 1977 when I was 9. I wasn't really aware of the full context having missed high point of our sucess, but bloody hell I could feel it in the atmosphere. The press were in on the act dubbing the game as Cloughie V Taylor. When the teams ran out to warm up we had been singing for so long it felt like they were running out for the second half, and it was non stop chanting all game.

From this view you can see how Dobbin drifts in from the far post to lose his man, it's easy to miss this from the normal view as you are watching the ball. With Korey Smith arriving late for a couple of headers I wonder if movement in the box has been worked on in training.

A good view of the goal from the away end. Credit to NML for not givining up and getting the cross in when it looked like it might go out, and to Dobbin and the others who took the gamble he would get it and were in the box to get on the end of the cross.
