Which in itself is deplorable without justification. Why aren't the club shouting about this from the roof tops. Why not make a massive fuss if we have nothing to lose?

If we make a fuss they drag things out, extend the embargo, and refuse to let us resign any of our own players. Meaning all the senior members of the squad out of contract can leave on a free and the under 24 leave and have the free arranged by a tribunal. Then they will book the losses for the players leaving on a free as a loss and drag things out for further FFP seasons. Make no mistake they have us by the knackers.

I'm pretty furious about it all, we we do end up relegated and the young players leave for a pittance I'm all up for going old fashioned 80's thowback style. The EFL have stiched us up in the press, and allowed the Wycombe chairman to publicly call us cheats without comment. Everyone thinks we "cooked the books" rather than simply using an alternative accounting method everyone thought was ok for four years before kicking off about it.  Close moor farm, train on the pitch, water it a lot before matches. It would simplify our recuitment, can you play in ankle deep mud? Everytime anyone complained about the playing surfice I'd ignore the question and talk about accounting. (End Rant)

Saying that, if you want another Steve Gibson story, go listen to Stewart Downing on Undr The Cosh podcast.

Signed a waiver so a clause wouldn't be triggered if he continues to play, on the verbal agreement a new contract will be given at the end of the season.

Or Danny Mills, they took him on loan from Leeds promising him they would sign him in the Jan window on the same contract. They thought Leeds would go down so they could get him cheaper if they waited so didn't sign him. He was very disapointed about being lied to and said so to Gibson.

Error of judgement?? Minor offence?? Morris attempted to circumvent FFP by numerous means and that is why the club is where it is. He got away with the selling 9f the ground at an inflated figure, but in the end it caught up with him. The EFL under Harvey were useless that no one can deny, but the clubs plight isn't down to them!

We have been found guilty of a minor offence and given a £100K fine, there doesn't seem to be any other charge on the table yet. Mel sailed us into a very grey area by trying to outflank FFP, it seems he did a good enough job to prevent a straight forward charge. The EFL have then sailed into their own grey area to bully and undermine us with embargo's and inuendo. There seems to have been a constant drip of information undermining us throughout the whole process.

I'm angry with the EFL for their underhand conduct of the affair, with Mel for him taking his bat home and leaving us in the lurch, with Gibson and Couhig for trying to Bury us with their legal action. Relegation may be the least of our worries, if the EFL continue to duck with us then we may have half the team leave of a free and the talented kids for a pittance. If HMRC dig there heels in we could still go under. I keep hearing Patrick Allen's voice telling me this might be the last game you ever see, and it's making me upset.

Andrew Mackenzie introduced them - and took a cut of the illegal funds, which is why he was jailed along with Keith & Mackay. I was in Northampton court to see it...

I know the CPS lawyer who prosecuted them, he says they so deserved prosecution.

  5. Interesting comments on the Cov forum https://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/crowd-trouble.137677/

I think this poster has it about right

"lots of pocket money spent on stone island coats and cocaine mixed with catnip"

I don't know if it's a lockdown after affect or just times changing but there seems to be a lot of it going on, I've seen quite a few reports of fighting at different games, Bristol V Forest for one. I suspect it may start to calm when prople start getting 6'o clock wake ups and football bans.

Can we see if we can get him to spontaneously combust

Looks like he's coming pretty close after reading the Percy article

"They don't learn- the EFL should have been prepared for something like this and should seek to crush Derby in all honesty, hammer them from all angles. Crush the bar stewards."

And his mate is running close too

"Don’t they have the option to add points on also if the Club don’t work with the EFL.  They can also save points for co-operation.

If true, I’d just cancel their fixtures now.  Had enough of this crap.  They cheated, they know they cheated."

  7. My housemate called me at work, but her description didn't do it justice. I told soem people in the office but struggled to get the magnitude of events across.Smartphones would have really changed the immediate reaction to it.

Sorry for bringing comedy into a serious thread but it's good commedy.

The only thing I can remember about him as a player was him hitting the bar with a curling shot away at Walsall.

Well between Lampard, Rowett, Mac and Wassall surely they earned enough bad luck that the play off Gods will take pity on us next time.

Don't forget Roy McFarland against Leicester, although I have tried to forget it for many years.

It was a really poor piece of refereeing. I was amazed it was red and interested to hear Shinnie say afterwards the ref told him yellow initially, which would have been the right call. Sharp knocked the ball to his teammate before contact, his teammate is outside the area on the angle, has Byrne bearing down on him and Jags back heading towards the line. Obvious goal scoring opportunity? I think not. You're taught as refs to take a "snapshot" of the exact moment and replay that before making a decision. He's got it wrong.

It was poor but can't really complain as I've seen them given. He played for it, he just kicked the ball away and made sure there was some contact. Roos should have gone for a diving header, he would have probably still been second to the ball but I don't think he would have been sent off after being kicked in the head.

This video from behind the goal makes it look like a dive.
