Was talking to a West Ham mate tonight who told ,e there's been a massive increase of their away fanbase getting coked up at games.

I've just been talked to one on my workmates who is a Hammer. He said Leeds away was bedlam, songs about sex offenders, every standing all game annoying his pensioner mum who wanted to sit down. It ended with his mum being oushed over and hitting the deck so he wasn't happy about it. On the way back to the station they passed some roadworks, the signs and barriers got chucked at the police, and more abusive songs got sung.

From what I've read, what Stoke have done is a massive amortisation dump - throwing a huge (£80m?) player value write down into one year and claiming it as a COVID-related (and therefore outside of P&S limits) revaluation. That will then allow them to record reduced amortisation losses in later years - and higher profits if players are sold - leaving them with more head room for the sir seasonal P&S returns.

    Is that really OK?

Don't worry the EFL will follow their normal procedure, say it's fine for a couple of years and then change their mind and throw the book at them unless they've gone up in the meantime.

If your contention is Mel Morris' actions amount to anything other than trying to cheat the system, then I'm sorry we'll just have to agree to disagree.

It seems to me he saw a gray area and went for it big, the fact it took an appeal to ask us to restate shows it's not clear cut. You are right he would be hoping a promotion would sweep this all under the carpet. Cheating is a very emotive word, I really think he thought he had found a gap in the laws he could use, with the stadium he was right. With the ammortisation he was nearly right.

The unforgivable aspect to this is him taking his bat home and stopping funding the club a couple (?) of years ago, and running up huge debts. He may be right about the EFL charges scaring off takeovers, but if we had not been charged and still had no takeover we would be in a similar position to what we are now, in the crap.

Are you seriously suggesting that the short-legged, weasel-faced, greasy permanent-waved, Parmo-munching Gibson actually has a wife?
What on Earth would she see in such a despicable multi-millionaire?

Just clicked on the Daily Mail and immediately an article about how good Kaide Gordon is likely to be.

Here is a radical thought how about clubs like Liverpool and Man City properly compensate us for Gordon and Delap.

We worked with these players in their formative years and we get pennies for them. If in 10 years time Gordon goes for £100 million then Liverpool essentially have made a £99 million profit as they stole him from us for £1 million.

What is the point in an academy if all the top players get poached for nothing.

They whole youth system has been set up by the wealthy clubs so they can poach the top prospects for peanuts. They used the argument that it's best for England if the top prospects get the best training. We poach smaller clubs prospects and big clubs poach ours. This is why some clubs just don't bother with a youth  setup.

I knew that some people who Derby owe money to have to be paid in full whilst others don't, but until this morning I didn't realise that people who are directly associated with football, such as Football agents have to be paid in full, whereas those not directly associated such as bakers or butchers only need to be paid in part. That is scandalous. What a dreadful rule.?

Blame Bristol City, this rule was introduced after they nearly went bust and got out of it by bullying their best paid players to tear up their contracts.

He said one of his biggest regrets in football was not signing for us when he left Tottenham and joined West Ham instead because he’d just moved to Dagenham and didn’t fancy uprooting again.

One of the all time greats, RIP.

    Wow, is that true?

    I had no idea!

I knew him from Saint & greavies and just thought he was a comidic old player, then I saw some old footage and realised how truly magnificant he was as a player.

Albion will have been practising how to do a fast organised press.

I saw a Baggies fan complaining that their ptess didn't work very well against Millwall, a team whose defenders only wanted to take one touch. I say suprise switch to Rowettball for a game, it will be crap to watch but it's only for a game.

They shook hands as Godleman reaches his century.

    Derbys 203/3, Godleman 100 n/o, Critchley 59 n/o.

Phew thats a relief, I had to take a work call and when I rechecked the stream it had finished. I thought surley we can't have lost 7 wickets in hald an hour can we?

Roger Penrose who recently won the Nobel Prize for physics has a new theory called conformal cyclic cosmology where the Universe turns out to be neverending, but rather repeats on different scales. This might mean the EFL sanctions against us grow ever bigger as we enter each new aeon of the Universe.

I'm trying to read a Roger Penrose book at the moment, it's tough going. The 120 pages of the mathmatical appendixes he keeps refering to make the EFL judgment as easy read.

  11. It was accidental to me, he didn't look down stumbled and just trod on him.

The slow motion replay looked awful, and with with the Sky commentator going on about stamping and how bad it was everyone saw it that way.

I thought Reading where under an embargo as well, they’ve just signed Scott  Dann and Danny Drinkwater ?

Don't worry justice will be done, Mr Popodopolous is all over it.

He could have played for peanuts for them instead of the silly money that they could not afford. Still could have raked in millions in sponsorship and advertising deals to keep his agent sweet.

As I understand it under Spanish employment law he couldn't.

If Derby went I might go to watch the closest team to my house, Bradford City, play, I have no love for them but find their visceral hatred of Leeds somehow comforting.
