He’s being loyal? Roy I’d expect any manger we have to be loyal as you call it 
The problem I see here is this…we are quite obviously in a right mess and my question is Roy is Rooney the correct person to be taking this on?? 
he may sound great in interviews etc but at this moment in time take a step back and ask if we didnt have a manager would Rooney be the choice ??
ive thought long and hard about this recently and I don’t think it’s fair on Rooney so here’s my ten penneth worth 
of all the managers out there out of work I’d go for Alex Neill ( not my first choice by any stretch ) but know this division and can work on limited budgets ….we need experience  at the helm because this league will soon fall away from us if we get off to a bad start …Rooney is a top guy but for me the wrong choice at this moment ….

But that's not my point, yes CKR is capable of scoring from range and he might hit 5 or 6 really good goals from those kinds of positions over the course of a season. My point was it's not very good from a chance creation point of view. I do think it's something that hopefully will come over the course of pre-season and the early season games but it is reminiscent of last season where oftentimes we did look troubled when trying to create chances from open play. 

My pet hate resurfaces. Sibbo (currently playing on the right) nicks the ball and wins a freekick 10 yards inside the opposition half. It's a decent attacking opportunity with 5 minutes to go. Instead of attacking, the freekick is passed backwards 30 yards and we end up losing the ball. It makes you want to bang your head against a wall.

He’s defensive covering especially on crosses to the back post though are much better than what Bogle provide and for me was massively overrated 
Byrne was one of our best players last season we must try and keep him if possible 

I agree, Curtains and I am sure if this was any other club than Derby that this rule would have been relaxed in relation to that one specific fixture.
We would probably have been better to forfeit the match, which is totally against the spirit of the competition. 

I'm perfectly understanding of our situation as a club. I'm not actually against players in such as Aluko, Baldock and Jagielka necessarily as I think that is where we are at as a club and we have to accept that. I am against getting in players who've had 13 clubs in 10 years, played 98 games in their career and only 32 in the past 4 years. All the evidence suggests Morrison's attitude has been consistently awful for over a decade and that this hasn't changed in recent times. Even when he was on loan at Middleborough in 2019-2020 he only got a couple of appearances and fans didn't like what they saw the little that they did. Ado Den Haag last season he managed a paltry 4 games. In my view it's a complete waste of time and effort signing him and if our scouts can't find a player whose played more than 32 games in the past 4 seasons then god help us. 

Didn’t any of his previous clubs have such players? Straws and clutching come to mind…

It’s not just down to one person that we conceded headers Clarke rarely lost a header that’s a fact and yes of course we move on!!! What bloody choice do we have I don’t care if no one is willing to sign him permanently we don’t know all of the facts but I’d have signed him permanently on a long deal and made him captain he’s still young and players of Clarke’s ilk are well out of our range instead we are now shopping not only in Lidl but in the reduced aisle in Lidl 

He was excellent for us without a doubt and will be sorely missed I would’ve made him captain he’s so reliable and virtually unbeatable in the air ….such a shame ?

I remember when I was 15, I convinced my mate from Market Harborough to get the train up with me from Kettering to watch Nigel Clough's Derby train at Loughborough.
Took me 90 mins to get there. Watched the squad run around for a bout 10 mins, then Robbie Savage gave me a look which said "wtf are you doing here?" and in that moment, I thought "I genuinely don't know what I'm doing with my life" and I went home.
From that moment on, I vowed never to spend my pocket money on watching Conor Doyle and Saul Deeney run around a university campus ever again.
