I seem to remember figures of around £70k for Micklewhite and £45k for George - paid for by the fee we received for Kevin Wilson.

it may be how i've interpreted it but i just though top 2 meant you could be 1 or 2 and top 3 the same 1,2 or 3 i don't think he wanted to be drawn into who was in pole position 

Also what good signings Gary Micklewhite and Geraint Williams were and we didn't overpay from QPR and Bristol Rovers respectively unless I'm mistaken.

What we'd do for a striker like Dean Saunders now....... his partnership with Goddard was the best I've ever seen at DCFC and although Harford was a good tough old CF he never replaced Goddard for me 

Just stumbled across the whole game on YouTube, not sure how many else have found it on there but it was a great watch. I only found clicked on it as it was the game played closest to the day I was born.
What struck me while watching it were the comments from the late, great Brian Clough. During pre-match he talks about how being at Derby were the happiest days of his managerial career, and after the game he talked about sitting with the Spurs fans and that they had enjoyed a great game of football "despite the fact that I'm a Derby man" -- all said why manager of Forest..! Also quite topical as Maxwell had at the time turned down a bid of £3 million for us (only about £6.5 mil today).
I'm sure a few have seen this, but now the nights are drawing in and Strictly's back on the box it's a good getaway game.

I get where David is coming from when you wear a stone island item to football you’re basically either trying to look tough or make others think you’re a hooligan and although maybe some aren’t it makes them feel tough and creates an impression 
but considering the above and you were a normal law abiding good citizen who has no intention of causing it being involved in football trouble would you wear the stone island gear? You may have some stone island clothing but I’ve been to hundreds of Derby games and the general rule of thumb is if you wear that sort of thing to football you’re giving an impression of yourself so don’t wear it 
let’s not kid ourselves here most of the youngsters who wear probably fake SI gear bought from eBay are usually wannabe look at me I’m hard  idiots

If I was to walk in wearing tracksuit bottoms stuffed into socks, trainers and a hoodie for a 40k a year job, do you think I would get it?

Started by Coventry finished by Derby. I’m not proud but also not ashamed. One of them ones where we just stood our own. My mum always said if someone punched you, punch them back 10x harder 

I have no idea I wish I was there to ask more questions but my mate only asked a few questions and didn't want to seem like he was interrogating him the man didn't go into details but did say that the figure is around that  105m I asked if he said anything about PP and training ground etc but again he didn't mention it ...I find the 30m figure surely wrong but all he said was built up over a few years including hospitality and mentioned hotel expenses....very strange doesnt seem true that part but he is genuinely quite high up in the admin team and didn't realise my mate was asking questions on my behalf....one thing i do know is the colleague i spoke to today is extremely genuine and had no reason to make things up but like most on here I think that 30m part must be wrong

Perhaps whoever has arranged our accommodation for all these years has got Hotels and Brothels mixed up on his phone?
25 players, 8 hour stays, £300 an hour for the ladies = £60,000 a night (or higher if he's mistakenly ordered double rooms, thinking it meant the number of beds).
23 away trips a season =  £1,380,000 minimum spend on 'hotels' per season.
Soon adds up.

Ok ...I.ve never been one to say I'm ITK as I'm not but a good friend of mine was out with someone this weekend who is heavily involved as part of admin team and because my mate knows I'm a Ram got some interesting bits of info after a few beers apparently.
Not loads of info and maybe some is known or old news  but thought I'd share anyway
The debt is 105m and there are at least 6 parties very interested in taking over and looks promising ...
Mike Ashley is 100 per cent one of those interested parties what i did find hard to believe was he said that 30m was owed to large chains of hotels for accomodation / hospitality /  away trips etc which seems excessive but says has built up over many years .....also said the club has been run very poorly but think we already know that

there was two or three occasions last night where he could've passed it a lot earlier but one ended up with Knights goal he's a tremendous talent but maybe needs to learn that he can't always run past someone and maybe pass a bit earlier but still a talent 

Yes Lawrence was good I’m not disputing that but with Tom if he just lifted his head up sometimes and played an easier ball or doesn’t shoot from miles out when they’re better options he’d be fantastic
