Tamworthram reacted to Nuwtfly in Captain Tom Lawrence
I really do wish him all the best of luck because I cannot think of a harder time to be Captain of this football club.
Was it the right choice? Who knows. If you'd have asked me beforehand who the least likely person was to be named Captain, I'd probably have said Tom Lawrence.

Another thing to consider: I would imagine more than 8000 people renewed so we’re not just taking about a handful. Meaning, it’s possible that a large proportion (maybe even all) of the fans attending would get in for free. The club might well end up losing money when you consider the costs of staging the game.

Anyone else notice that it was Curtis who lightened the mood and put his arm around Tom’s neck in a playful (and supportive) way? What a man.
As for Tom being chosen, I’m surprised but happy to support him. As others have said, it could be the making of him and, unlike some others, I’m not writing him off or ridiculing the choice.

It would but the club can’t really afford nice touches. They need to get in what ever money they can.

Tamworthram reacted to i-Ram in Training Photos
Why are we leaving our state of the art Academy and Training Centre and wasting good money playing on a rugby pitch and being rubbed down in what looks like a Discount Bedroom Furniture Showroom?

Can only see it as a good thing, given players such as Shinnie, Davies or CKR are going to lead naturally anyway?
If it leads to even a 1% improvement in Lawrence’s maturity and responsibility on the pitch then it’s a big positive. His performances toward the end of the season showed an increased willingness to carry the team on his shoulders and I expect this will only help with that continuing.

Depends. If the rules on social distancing are removed, as expected, then the tightness of the concourse and toilets wouldn’t come into play would it? You might also find fewer people congregate in the concourse as a precaution.
From a purely selfish point of view, I’d be happy if they stopped serving food and drink inside as that causes a lot of congestion but, I can’t see it happening and, as I say, I’m being selfish as I never buy anything.

Perhaps without realising you have put anybody not wearing a mask in the catagory of real scumbags ??♂️, wrong and the very essence of the problems ahead

I've never witnessed anything like this. Never seen anyone without a mask in shops etc being challenged by anyone while they've been compulsary, so don't see why that would change.
It's obviously too much to expect people to behave like responsible adults and manage their own risk, without being "confused".

Selling individual matches for a tenner a pop as opposed to packaging them up in to a pre-season bundle is a way of trying to generate as much cash as possible as opposed to giving the fans a bit more convenience.
In better times we'd have perhaps gone for the latter option.

Obviously depends on what category you’re talking about.
A better question is, by how much do we think they will go up? I would guess by anything up to 10%

If think you’re confusing profit and loss with cash flow. As I understand it (I stand to be corrected), tax liabilities (almost certainly PAYE in our case as discussed at length) would be applied to the P&L in the accounting period it was incurred regardless of when you paid it. Therefore, delaying payment might help your cash flow but it wouldn’t impact you P&L.
Any accountants out there please keep me honest.

Fair enough but surely everyone has a right to criticise rather being told to “duck off” if they do voice their opinions. There are no doubt many that have gone over the top with their criticism but I took your comments about people that were critical of the team and/or manager as a rather general attack on anyone who may have voiced any sort of negative opinion.
