I gave him a 7 on Saturday. Halved that last night.
I agree with those who think Warne is a bit scared to drop/rotate his senior 'stars'.

The turtle post was my doing 😝 Daniel left his phone lying around unlocked so I started posting facts about turtles on his Facebook for my own amusement. After about of month of this, someone Dan worked with gave a small stuffed turtle because she thought he liked them so much 😂  That Christmas every present I gave Dan had turtles on them 🤣🤣🤣

League 2 Crewe Alexandra had 57% of the ball at Pride Park up until they scored their 3rd goal of the evening. Then they just had to sit back and defend it.
    Embarassing.

Well deserved for Crewe. Over the two games, they have set up well and taken their chances.
It’s typical that we put in such a complacent performance after some really encouraging results v Northampton and Barnsley that hinted at green shoots of recovery.
This was a massive opportunity for Warne and the players to put the ‘outside noise’ to bed and get confidence and momentum really flowing. Instead the pressure has been cranked up yet again.
With the international break now, we have 10 days to sit and wallow in a result that ranks alongside previous upsets v Brentford, Bristol Rovers, Crawley, Colchester and of course Chorley.
What a let down Warne and these players are becoming.

Pretty shocking really, given the side we put out, and the start we had, but shouldn't we be putting 2 up front against lower league teams?
Playing devils advocate, is it telling that Warne only signed two of the players that started tonight?
Notably he didn't sign any of our centre mids or forwards. I know he brought a number of players in this summer but was he hamstrung filling gaps and taking gambles rather than being able to stamp his style on the team.
It's glaringly apparent now that he inherited a team so far away from his preferred design, with no real means to change it, and as such he was the admitedly the wrong appointment. We don't have the means to shuffle the pack sufficiently in January so any chance of top 6 will be a matter of other sides failings and a bit of luck.
Could another manager be achieving a lot more with these players? Likely so. Could someone come in now and give us a greater shot at promotion and maybe keeping a couple of the players we want to? The switch has flipped in me and I'm now starting to think so.
With an inevitable stampede leaving in summer, we either seriously get our sh*t together now, identify and bring in exactly the players he needs to play Warneball - the midfield workhorses, some towering defenders, the right sort of centre forwards etc. If we aren't planning for that then there is no point keeping with him at all because thats all he can play effectively.

They were on the pitch playing to a crap coaches instruction/tactics. We have played Crewe only 10 days ago and got lucky to get a replay and this coach did not learn from the 1st game. Can we swop the managers over, because Lee Bell outwitted Warne twice with inferior players.

Everyone's disappointed but they left it all out their apparently. Losing wasn't ideal but they can concentrate on the league.
Now the gaffers up - not dynamic enough out wide or on set pieces. We could have played a conference side and they'd have given us a game.  Having Wash available would have made a difference.
    Sweet Jesus.

I semi expected a half-arsed performance tonight based on the fact that we've really struggled against the poorer sides this season. What I didn't expect is to see absolutely no youth whatsoever in the starting line-up.
On Saturday the game was over after around 65 minutes. Barnsley had given up, we were in complete control and carving them open at every opportunity. Perfect opportunity to give Weston or Robinson some minutes who would be on a high after the midweek game. We see neither. Okay, perhaps he's saving them for the FA cup game midweek I naively think to myself. We see neither again and instead only see Fapetu for 7 minutes in a desperate, panicked double substitution with Bradley as a last roll of the dice.
No Brown who is on fire in the academy, no Weston who scored for the senior team last week, no Robinson who has Prem clubs sniffing after him, instead we go for a 6'5 CB who we can rifle in diagonal crosses too. It's such a negative, backwards decision that genuinely makes me fear for the academy under Warne. Why would you choose to come here as a youngster when the manager won't even give a couple a chance in a game against league two opposition?
Losing tonight with half a team of kids would have meant nothing tonight. We would have dusted ourselves off and said oh well our focus is on the league. Instead our first team gets comprehensively beaten, the knives are out for Warne again, the fans are annoyed and our youngsters miss out on vital experience. A masterclass in mismanagement.

It's predictable though and why bother. We're not going anywhere as a footballing team under Warne. I was so disappointed but not surprised when tonight RD talked about Warne going on about how much players ran against Barnsley. Whatever.
Here's hoping we get promotion this season.

I did say a while back I'd give him until Christmas. Scarily we're nearly there.
    An inability to change tactics
An inability to play to our strengths
No trust in some of the youngsters
Looking like he's losing (lost) some of the dressing room
We're only as high up as we are due to the fact most other teams are absolute tripe.
Not sure I want to wait until Christmas.

I think it's fairly clear at this point that he just isn't the right person to lead us to where we need to be. Ipswich spent a bit longer in League One, but they built up with a good young manager and a good style of football and have adapted well to the league above. I have no data to back this up, but generally the pragmatic sides that get up don't seem to adapt as well.

We are getting absolutely mullered at home by a League Two team.
The away game we dominated and they scored their two chances. Here, we are getting done. The Crewe manager is taking Warne to school here. Pants pulled down.

What a bloke - can’t count the amount of times he’s made me smile on here, it can be a bloody tough forum to read at times when you consider the club we follow but he was just the best
Not only hilarious but completely spot on - the team would do better if we got behind the lads like he did
I still remember laughing my head off as a younger Leicester Ram at the yellow belt saga, in another life I’m sure B4 will be running the resurgent DLF
Haven’t been to a game since my uncle died but would have made the trek from London come rain, shine or national rail strike for the Bristol Rovers game for Daniel
Unfortunately I’m in Vietnam and can’t make it back, have to admit I’m devastated because he deserves the best send off possible - remember back in the days of the DCFC Fans podcast that I said he was my favourite forum member and he always will be
If anyone is sorting out a flag for him etc but finding the cost a bit dear, please let me know as I’d love to help out

I hope he wouldn’t mind me saying this, but he did tell me the reason when I was standing with him at (I think) Plymouth away.
He said he didn’t like pink because it’s a “girl’s colour”, but he didn’t want to say it publicly out of fear of offending @angieram!

I am unsure if this thread is the appropriate for this post, please remove if it is not.
I first encountered B4 on another forum many years ago. It was a very different place compared to this forum, and at times was not pleasant.
That B4 was able to become such a star here is down to @David and his team. What a valuable resource this forum is for Rams fans. Yes we carp, squabble and throw hissy fits, but the reaction to B4’s passing, and his many posts, show what a strong and supportive community we have.

I ashamedly hold my hands up and admit for a while on here I had him down as an internet troll and accused him of it on mumerous occasions, I just couldn't believe that most of the things he was saying anyone would actually think.
Luckily an admin @angierampossibly did pull me up on it and I messaged him privately to apologise.
It didn't make me take his posts any more seriously but at least I knew they were made with the best of intentions and with the sort of love for Derby County I probably displayed during my youth.
The forum will be a much sadder place without @B4ev6isaround.
RIP Daniel and thanks for the memories.

Oh my goodness, what a response!
Hello everyone, I’m Claire, Daniel’s (B4) sister. I am overwhelmed by your kind words, support, and the memories you have shared.  Thank you so much for the kindness and love you have all shown to Daniel over the years. My parents are working their way through all of the posts and will offer their own thanks in due course.
I wish I knew about the scraves, flanges and ballions before now. I wouldn’t have let Daniel live that down at home. This made my husband and I laugh this morning.
I will be wearing Daniel’s shirt and keeping his seat warm at the Bristol match. Really looking forward to hearing a big cheer and round of applause in the 38th minute, a goal at the time would be perfect!  Do please continue to share the picture with details of the applause. Let’s raise the roof for Daniel!!!
    Thank you all again ❤️

I was lucky enough to go to South East Derbyshire College with this legend.
Even back then, whilst talking DCFC in the small group of Derby fans on our course he was always so positive and had unwavering passion, even when times were bad (baring in mind this was during the Jeremy Keith, Andrew Mackenzie and Murdo Mackay era, which at the time felt a pretty challenging time to be a fan).
We had a few in the group who would challenge that passion every now and again, which obviously remained intact until the 'good' times started to roll back in!
After College, we didn't really speak again, but every time he posted a comment on here it made me smile and remember those times because it was always along the same positive and passionate lines!
Rest easy Beavis (not a very imaginative nickname I know, but using the last name as a nickname was common amongst us at that time 😄)

Hard to know where to start.  Reading the news of his passing really rocked me.  To then read all the pages over the last day or so has brought me tears to several times.  I couldn’t do them all in one sitting, too emotional.  The words and memories listed over all these pages should hopefully bring some small comfort to all his family and friends.  What a testament to the man, that so many who only knew him through this forum had such a strong bond and affinity for him.
I hope his parents take enormous pride at what a stunning job they did in raising such as beautiful human being, who clearly touched so many lives.  His strength and empathy to reach out to others and offer solace in their hour of need, whilst going through dark times himself speaks volumes to the person he was.
He has left a mark on this world that many can only dream off.  Normally when someone passes, it is marked on social media sites with RIP and other one word or one line comments, the fact that so many are so detailed, people who haven’t posted for years signing back in, people creating accounts for the sole purpose of paying their respects, just demonstrates what high esteem his was held in by so many.
I’ve fallen out of love with football recently for various reasons and have only been twice this season despite being a season ticket holder. The passing of B4 though has ensured I will be attending the Bristol Rovers game, hopefully some of that B4 passion will find its way back to me and reignite my love.  I will stand and applaud our friend and with no shame I will have a tears rolling down my cheeks.

So many funny memories of the lad; his player valuations, from which he could not be shifted and which seemed to infuriate some on here, much to other's amusement; his hilarious disdain for any pink strip and his vomit emoji protests when folk disagreed; his 'fondness' for Rick Parry and all things EFL. He was definitely a lad who had strong opinions and wasn't afraid to voice them, but always did so in a fashion that was humorous.
One anecdote that always stuck in my head was him earnestly advising another forum member who jokingly suggested that his wife wasn't letting him out of the house to, 'pretend you're just nipping out for milk, but then come to the game instead'. Let's be honest, it's was a solid enough plan!
