I really appreciate you letting us know and I only wish that more publicity was given to the consequences of such behaviour.
Usually if we get to hear anything it's a snippet in the DET months down the line.
    Thanks!

The bloke that threw the first punch is mid to late fifties and his son did the headbutt that caused the cut.

But he was a nuisance and attracted the CB’s , got fouled. For me he disrupted their play and attempts at rhythm.

Assists as well as goals. Top player at this level. We will be absolutely shafted if he gets a hamstring or groin . Wrap him in cotton wool and put him in an oxygen tent.

I have to say, as a non-regular away fan these days (no away membership so can only get when large allocations), i was surprised at the amount of hostile young supporters we have these days.  Very drunk and many seemed to be under the influence of other substances as well.  Makes it slightly uncomfortable when taking my 12 year old away from home unfortunately.  I'm all for fans having a few beers before the match, i have always enjoyed the away days but it all feels a bit uneasy nowadays.

I should add that she's smaller than Thommo, so to control a L1 fixture without the relative advantage of physical stature is quite impressive.
I've also felt that the female linos we've had have been better than many of the male ones, so I think we'll be seeing entirely female officiating teams in due course.

This should not be an issue. The ability to referee is not about gender it is about ability and the referee did a good job last night. There will always be contentious decisions because there are 20,000 + biased referees in the stands which adds to the enjoyment and emotion of the game. Hopefully the gender of the referee will be immaterial in the years to come.

Lady refs are the way forward. So much toxicity with men. Not once have they acted like idiots this evening, ganging up or haranguing the official.  I approve.  Amazingly.  Groundbreaking stuff.

Scott Malone as the best left-back since Clough? I know people turned on the lad after the way he left, but Buchanan was much better for us than Malone ever was.
I'd also choose Byrne or Bogle over Christie at RB.

Thanks for the reply. I’d agree with you regarding the recruitment. We spent around £2.5m on fees alone, while Plymouth and Bolton both made a number of signings. Wednesday weren’t very active but didn’t need to be, so Derby were left behind a little bit.
As I’ve said further up the thread though, that shouldn’t be a barrier to reaching the play-offs, with only Wycombe looking capable of mounting a challenge from outside the top six. Whatever happens once there is anybody’s guess.

The challenge is probably what happens if you stay down and have to recruit to replace Cashin and Bird. If you’re still restricted to frees and loans that makes things difficult but I’d imagine your recruitment staff are researching those markets heavily. Clowes seems willing to spend big on wages so there is still the option to offer to take over contracts of out of favour players in higher divisions, similar to the James Collins deal.

Tonight now, of course. Not sure how many players we have left to make up a team? Will Rooney get a run out? That young man seriously needs some competitive game time.

Maybe, or when asked about going on loan he asked if he could be closer to family at this point in time
