My love for DCFC defines who I am.

It comes from the old Baseball Ground days and going in the boys pen as a kid.
The smell of Leys and Ewarts hanging around.
Later it was the Baseball Hotel and going in there.
All the pubs in the area were frequented on match days.
Queuing for Wolves tickets and crushed up against a wall in the corner of Normo End.
The love for the club stays with me forward to this day and Pride Park is great .
    Hoping we Survive

For me it has always been the never say die attitude of the supporters. Win or lose Derby Supporters always give their all and never stop singing.
I remember one game at Norwich many years ago. We were getting relegated and Norwich had had a pretty good season, for most of the match all you could hear was Derby Supporters. The one time Norwich did make themselves heard they were trying to taunt us by singing "Going Down" Derby Supporters replied by Singing "We're Going Down" while jumping up and down celebrating. I am from Norfolk and people were asking me for weeks why the Derby Supporters were celebrating going down, they just could not understand it. For me that is the Derby Way.

There are some clips on YouTube with some pockets of trouble in the town, I have to say like many Boro fans I have always admired and like Derby county football club, I hope this is just a stupid small chapter between our two clubs and hopefully get back to the friendly banter we have always had.
hope you stay up and go to better things in the future UTB and Derby.

Best way to handle Twitter, create an anonymous account, don't follow any friends but use it to follow topics you might have interest in, post what the flippety heck you want and don't give a tinkers cuss for what you get back - they're just shouting at nothing.

I look forward to a time, in the not too distant future, when we can go back to focusing on offsides and if the Ref had a father etc?

The EFL and Boro dragged Mel into it again by calling him out in both of their statements. They got their wish.

I reckon that's a great statement by Mel.  Not too much legalese or obfuscation.  Written in words you could imagine him saying.  Not just corporate bullsh*t.  Personal enough to tell he's rattled, but still prepared to 'fight to the end'.  Dismantles the Mboro, Wycombe and EFL claims piece by piece.
I know the haters are still gonna hate, but I feel Mel's response has smashed the ball firmly back into EFL's court.
Let's see how confident they are now.  Bring it on!

The biggest part of me read that and felt sorry for Mel.

The EFL was intent on ruining him and they’ve achieved it.

I just hope that at some point we can all get over this and welcome Mel back to Derbyshire.

Wow. I know I'm in a minority but due all his mistakes, I loved Mel's ambition and what he wanted to do for the club. I sincerely hope that this may redress his reputation of only a little. Oh, and a big FU to Gibson, Couhig and the EFL.

It's hard to say but I think we'd easily have the biggest attendance figures in the league. Obviously league1 and clean slate is the better option but I would still be cheering on in league 2 . I honestly don't care either way anymore as long as I have a team to support.

An old saying that used to get rammed down our throats daily back in the Army.
Failure to prepare, prepare to fail.
Ed Dawes clearly did not go into either interview prepared with all of the facts to rebuttal back to Couhig, all yeah buts.
That is simply disastrous from Radio Derby, disastrous

All of a sudden what is happening to the Rams has gained traction, possibly because of the administrators statement that what the EFL are demanding is against statutes. We now have sky, quest, radio Derby news, MPs on our side who previously were silent. The more we get the message out to true football fans the whole thing will gain more and more traction until the EFL are forced to explain or change their position. There is no downside to this as it is reported, only in the Sun, that Ashley is stepping in to try to sort it. Keep up pressure where ever you can please, it is starting to work. Remember what is sung is about both the teams and the fans WE ARE Derby AND WE NEVER GIVE UP.

Fair enough mate, if that's how you feel, but I'll not be giving up just yet. To my mind the prime reason we are doing so well is that the lads keep stepping it up. Every single challenge and set-back is met with an even fiercer resolve. Whatever you think, they don't think they're beat.
There are better squads than us, there are better starting 11's, but there's not a team in the entire EFL who can match our unity, determination and dogged will to win. We won't win every game of course and losing further players will provide an even stiffer challenge, but any team that plays us will know they've been in a game. United were running on fumes inside the last 20.
I'm with these lads all the way, as this will be a season that I'll remember forever. Throughout all the time I've followed this club, I don't think I've ever been so proud of the team and coaches. One through eleven and the subs as well, literally giving their all.
I can't be giving up on that mate.

I wouldnt even blame him for going at this point. I wouldnt be angry, just sad. Rooney never needed us, the fact he's stuck it out for as long as he has, and seems happy to continue to do so (unless an offer he cant refuse drops in his lap) is frankly amazing.
He is clearly not the petulant idiot a lot of people seem to think he is. Whatever happens he's given us hope, it might prove to be futile in the end, but he is doing everything he can and I love him for it.
