Let's deal with the pathetic Collymore song first.

Remind him it's a family area in a non challenging way. Do it in a way that allows him to save face, suggest that Derby make you want to swear etc

I've taught mine that what they hear at the football they don't repeat. We have a little giggle about it and it's forgotten about. Agree, not in the family area but it happens

Having a family area in a football ground is like having a no pissing area in a swimming pool.

You don’t realise how bad the language is until you take a child to the ground.
All you can do is tell the child to ignore the rude words.
You won’t get it stopped so don’t get over anxious about it. Or if you can’t ignore it, keep away, kids understand it’s wrong if you explain it to them. They’ll hear the same language in the playground at school at some time and you won’t be there to sort that out.

I wish mine was as big as his...instead of this bloody great thing.

Nonsense. Everybody used to sit when the stadium opened, even the away fans. People need to start observing the rules before the law gets changed!
-
Boycie reacted to Bald Eagle's Barmy Army in East Stand
The whole standing and sitting issue is getting ridiculous.
A lot of people just need to grow up and start appreciating that not everybody wants to do one or the other.
But as for the East Stand, that’s just selfish and ingnorant towards other Derby supporters that have probably sat there for years.
Away games I can just about get my head around it but at home, just sit darn

The three in front of us always bring a blanket. They are a woman my age-iPhone, a bloke in his 30s and a young kid.
I have never taken a blanket to the game and am a long way off considering it. I think old age is a state of mind!

My exhusband was grumpy enough for both of us so I’m growing old cheerfully! Anyway, my season ticket was in west and the people around me were lovely! I think a few flask bearing and blanket hugging oldies have given us all a bad name - mind you when I get the need to equip myself with these items I shall remain determinedly cheerful! So there! ?

Sorry to hear that and we all cope with it as best we can. I hope life worked out well for you.
I had a really good career and am probably enjoying a very different retirement than if we'd had a family. All this gallivanting around watching the mighty Rams, for example!

They've kept me alive for the last decade, so perhaps there are pros and cons.
