Still only noon over here in the US and their banking system is crap, I'm not expecting anything today from my own personal experiences of the US system.

I received some money over from the UK and it took 5 working days. I received my money 3 days after the UK bank said it was sent.

I'd expect this deal done by the end of the week.

I just transferred money from my UK bank to mu USA bank account and it took 3 hours, FYI the banking system over here is not crap and is virtually now all electronic/online.

    MM isn't paying the loans.

As far as I am aware the loans are on the books of DCFC, but secured against the Stadium. And that is where the big problem lies. Unless the buyer settles the loans, or, buys the Stadium, they have to come up with other securities for the loans

The Council will not buy a Stadium with someone else's loans guaranteed against it,  and I can't imagine anyone else will.

So in reality it means CK putting up security for c£20m to guarantee the loans, or stump up c£23m to buy the Stadium from MM.

    Not gonna happen is it,?

The MSD loans were to Gellaw new 202 which is owned wholly by MM so DCFC are not paying the loans

  3. MSD are currently receiving LIBOR + 8% = 9.67% p.a. on their loans against the Stadium and the Academy, some £42,000 per week, so the delays are financially crippling to MM so I very much doubt he is holding things up deliberately, it is also worth highlighting that MSD will have the final say on the stadium destination, therefore if MM has not got enough cash or assets, as he's given a PG on the loan to clear the outstanding amount then MSD would not give the go ahead to accept less than they are owed. Given that DCFC will need up to £12 million a year in a cash injection every year to make ends meet in League 1 and that CK cannot raise enough to purchase an asset he could get a loan against I am concerned he is becoming increasingly not credible as a buyer.

  4. It should now be obvious that CK has not got the cash to buy the Stadium, my assessment is that he has cobbled together enough money to satisfy the EFL that he can sustain the club for 2 years, but they in their statement stated that the stadium situation need resolution. MM has taken out loans with MSD against the stadium that are securitised with a personal guarantee on all his personal properties, and I have no doubt MM would like to walk away without losing his own home, however CK could have reached an agreement with MM and or MSD to either buy the stadium or take out a new loan to cover the cost of the stadium. My thoughts are that MM and MSD have doubts about his ability to service any loan or lease which would explain the impasse, the rationale that CK won't deal with MM over personal issues is in my opinion fanciful, business does not work like that. Finally regarding Q not entertaining MA's approach it is obvious that if everyone is taking a haircut, then Q must as well, hence their reticence to talk to him, if the Rams go into receivership they would get their  fees paid in full so why would they discount their outstanding amount.

I think there is something in that.. we should look at an independent valuation of a player on transfermarkt website rather than use what we paid for the player as the base figure. But EFL don’t know the meaning of the word independent.

Or buy a Greek club and sell the player to them and book a terrific profit instead of a write off each year of their contract, has this been thought of by any other East Midlands club?

Thank you, I quite honestly wasn't being an arse, I couldn't remember the content, or the context for that matter.

Memento is a film with Guy Pierce (Mike from Neighbours), about a man with very short term memory loss investigating the death of his wife, who tattoos information on his body because he can't remember it.

I believe it was Christopher Nolan's first feature film, and is well worth a watch if you've never seen it, it's quite brilliant.

I may post this again in 20 minutes, so forgive me in advance.

I watched again last weekend also worth highlighting Carrie Anne Moss (matrix) also has a lead role, very good film much better than  TENET, which I did not understand

Hey Charlotte, did you see this afternoon that £7m was being quoted for the likely settlement of the HMRC debt?

No I did not see that, it is difficult doing a day job and trying to keep up to date with things.

Where did you get there info from, is that a full and final or a stage payment?

In the week leading up to Christmas, I was admitted to A and E with sepsis and water retention, spent 5 days there, and then had to put up with a very unpleasant catheter for 5 weeks before having it removed earlier this week.

So, my mood has been swinging around a bit more than usual. I’ve imagined how I might fit a catheter into various people connected with Middlesbrough and Wycombe. That eases the tension for a while?

I can’t expect anyone else to appreciate that line of thinking but I’m sure they will have their own release.

if there’s any justice in the world, we will survive this nightmare. Stay strong everyone and keep up the pressure!!

Ha ha ha. If you think that any of the bidders are going to commit paying the HMRC debt off in full, over a 4 year period, you should seek some medical assistance.  I reckon the bidders will be at about £7.5m in one lump sum; take it or leave it HMRC.

Ok my medical assistance professional confirmed I am sane and lucid, I believe that a repayment over a set number of months has been agreed, there is a point of principle here for the HMRC, I very much doubt a haircut is on their agenda.

The minister said HMRC isn't the issue. At least it isn't provided Gibson and Couhig stop digging their oar in.

HMRC will always accept a payment plan provided it is realistic and presented alongside a business plan which can be monitored, this I can confirm from recent experience, my offer would be 50% upfront and then the remainder at £292k per month over 48 months, no way HMRC would turn that proposal down.

That would make an offer of £28million very doable/workable and would /should satisfy the EFL, with the stadium now sorted whether by purchase or leasehold agreement, I am 100% confident that the Rams will be safe by 2/1/22,

I don’t think screaming and shouting is allowed in the west stand, best clear it with Angie first.

In defence of west stand upper

    1. It does not smell of urine, I assume that was a not too subtle dig at the average age of the season ticket holders there

    2. You do not have to apologise for the bad language and obscene chants, as per the south stand

    3. there is no chance of getting hit by a coked up loser

    4. You can get a drink and a pie easily in the concourse

    5. You can get to the toilets easily

    6. You get plenty of cardiac exercise climbing about 70 steps to get to your seat

    7. You can sit feeling smug in the fact that you are contributing more, given the price of your season ticket  to the club

    8. You get the best view in the ground.

I’m sure they are not viable for championship club. I’m guessing we are in a similar position to Cov

I believe the interest on the MSD property loans are 14% p.a.

In the trade they would be called " A lender of last resort"

  13. Under the terms of the agreed budget the Rams are allowed an annual wage bill of £15,775,000 a year which equates to £303,365/week, as there are approx 16 weeks until the end of the season the EFL logic will be that in the absence of a sale of the club they have to show that they have 16 x £303,365 a sum of £4.854 million to underwrite the seaSon being completed, without proof of this amount EFL computer will say NO, hence the need to get the £5million deposit in place ASAP

  14. 1 minute ago, Ellafella said:

Right. Or are they forcing a fire sale to exact their pound of flesh?

No they are applying the rules to the letter of their laws, so "Computer says no"

I am surmising to ensure the jolly japster from Smokey town does not threaten to sue them.

And where does it say they will get £5m?

Why would the stadium be in MSD control, Mel doesn't owe them money, the club do and until the admin process is sorted nothing will happen there.

This is the problem with the whole scenario,  people making up stories ?

Mel has given a personal guarantee on the MSD stadium/academy loans ( see companies house), if he does not pay instalments or redeem the loan he loses his house and all his possessions.
