Having watched my first game in 1965 (a 3-2 home defeat by Bolton) and approaching my 64th birthday, I decided that it was time to properly display my Rams collection. It's probably an old geezer thing…So, the cabinet was purchased with the blessing of Mrs M and this is the result.
My holy grail has always been to find a missing Steve Bloomer international cap in a junk shop, which is never going to happen; but I was lucky enough to get a pair of c1914 Bloomer branded boots at the recent Hansons auction. That will more than do for me.
This small corner of Gloucestershire is definitely Rams territory.
Mrs M and I are off to Reading Monday, sitting on our hands in the home end. Great Forum David et al, it's really valued by those of us no longer local.

2021 hasn't been easy for a lot of people, even tougher for us Derby County fans that have had to endure and will continue to do so the sleepless nights with the unthinkable, the threat of our club facing possible liquidation.
I just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year, without you, this community would not be here, the community that has allowed fans from not just around the country, but the world to come together and help each other through these difficult times and I'm sure will continue to do so through next year and beyond.
For any players, management, staff, anyone connected to the club that may also be reading this, Happy New Year to you also, I can only speak for myself, but I'm sure many others will agree, you are all making us so proud to be a Ram, we cannot ask anymore from you.
    Let's all go and smash 2022 ?

Back in 68 or 69 I was playing for a youth club team at the racecourse. Normally a winger I was playing right back as we were short of defenders.
I was getting completely skinned by this lad so after the 5th or 6th time I got fed up and totally took him out. 2 footed and late. Got sent off and this unmistakeable voice booms out from the touchline " Don't give up the day job lad"
My career for the Rams was finished there and then.

Ramzabac reacted to jono in Derby finally accept 21 point deduction.
We don’t know yet what is going to happen, but if the story of a further -9 and no appeal on the -12 is true  I can draw only one conclusion
The Admins have 12 weeks or so to sell the club as a going concern. Potential bidders don’t know the full animal that they are getting because of the protracted nature and Byzantine machinations of the EFL and it’s many rules and systems
I suspect this is a commercial decision to avoid a two bite situation (I.e more deductions next season)  .. IF the total 21 deduction includes a “this is a full and final punishments for all historical wrongdoings” pledge from the EFL then it presents DCFC as a known quantity ready to sell. Time is short, the pressure is on .. I could see this as a tactical move for the Admins to get a deal done.

It’s unjust .. but I see the pragmatism behind it.

    We’re down.
Slow out from the back, no desire to get the tempo up from the defence.  Hollywood passes from midfield to the strikers.
    Striker link up play depressing.
Forget the admin points, and the incoming ffp points, we’d be down anyway if Mel had stayed on.

In most dispute resolution situations there is extra slack given where there is inequality of status between the disputing parties. SO in financial services if I am involved in a dispute with a bank, I do not get charged or penalised in anyway if I do not win the dispute. In employment tribunals there is no fee charged to the employee and there are usually no costs awards either. Attempts to change that situation were opposed on grounds of it being an  offence to natural justice
In Derby's  disputes with EFL there is clear inequality between the parties to the dispute.. basically it is the 71 other EFL clubs ganging up on us to give us a kicking. So the EFL should be very keen to be seen to be independent and to avoid bully boy tactics.  EFL has consistently failed spectacularly to do either.
The particular proposal, if true , is yet another example of EFL's failures to be independent and to avoid bullying. I cannot think of any precedent , even where parties to a dispute are of equal standing, that would require the professionals involved in the dispute to be held personally liable if the dispute is not won. Quite apart from any failings by EFL to be independent or fair, it is offensive to the professionals involved and implies they are somehow trying it on.

Contrary to what some podcasters may say, there are on the face of it strong grounds for an appeal. That may not mean that Derby will win the appeal, but they are perfectly entitled to make it and it is crass , cynical and manipulative if EFL are seeking to discourage the appeal in this way.

Derby - Hey, here's our accounts. By the way, we used an alternate method involving amortisation.
EFL - Hmmmmmm. It's unusual, but fine, we'll sign off on them.
    *Years Later*
EFL - Lol, changed our mind, now they aren't ok.

Derby - We've sold our stadium and will add the profit to our accounts.
EFL - We don't like that, but it's not against the rules. We disagree with the valuation of the stadium however.
Derby - OK. Here's a valuation from an independent company who provide a similar figure.
EFL - Nope, we don't agree with the professionals, we'll begin disciplinary action.

Independent panel - Derby didn't do anything wrong.
EFL - Meh, what do you guys know. We will appeal with a new independent panel.
New independent panel - We believe a 100k fine is appropriate for Derby's wrongdoing.
EFL - Nah, we don't like that, let's appeal. Oh and let's also try and relegate them after the season is finished.

Derby - Hey, we've renewed Jack Marriott's contract.
    EFL - OK.
    *6 months later*
EFL - Changed our mind. Marriott is free to leave. And no, you can't sign anyone to replace him, Waghorn, or any of the other players who left.
    *Months later*
Derby - Please, we don't have enough senior players to even field a team, just let us sign some.
EFL - *Sigh* Fine, but only 4 or 5. And no more than 4.5k a week! And if you re-sign players like Davies or Wisdom they will take up 1 of those spots.

Derby - Hey we're having some injury problems and would like to use a couple of young lads, but they'll then count as senior players. Can you be a little lenient with this?
    EFL - Lol no.

I'm really relieved the EFL are trying to help us and make us work. It's really nice to know they have our back.
