I'm amazed at how strongly some people cling on to their oppinions.
Is it pride? Because I don't mind admitting I wanted Warne out earlier in the season, peaking after the defeat at Stevenidge and then come December 29th thought he's going to take us up as champions.
Being a football fan is way more fun when you over react in both directions.

Sweetness34 reacted to Ghost of Clough in January- An opportunity to be in the race for the automatics
Good to know that you'd be content with dropping points against Fleetwood, Burton, Lincoln and Cheltenham, but I won't be. We don't have a divine right to beat those sides, but a side competing for automatics definitely should be beating them.

Keep it. Yes it's a bit twee but not nearly as bad as some other club songs (Everton take a bow). It's the only thing that gets the whole ground clapping and engaged before kick off. Get the timing right (and don't ambush us with a third verse) and it creates a huge "Derby" right around the ground.
@CongletonRam wumming that Bloomer is "some dead footballer who no one really knows" shows two things: his/her idiocy and the importance of keeping the song, something that celebrates not only our leading goalscorer of all time, but one of the greatest footballers of his generation. He remains the most successful Derby County player ever.
No-one wants to live in the past, but we should always treasure our heritage, especially a player like him.

I sadly do know a few 😞 and they can be ridiculous. They'll make sheep noises like it's some diss and I'm like "oh thanks for that mate, I didn't know a Ram was a sheep, you've really cut me deep there". Some claim to actually hate sheep because of Derby County and I'm not making that up
My sister is married to a Forest fan and I had the misfortune on going on his stag do with an awful lot of Forest fans to Benidorm and being the only Derby fan.
It was dreadful but at least it was during the years where we were the better team. I can't imagine being in that same situation now

Didn't know that. I'm fortunate to not know many Forest fans. I think that old school thing of calling teams by their colours has faded away a bit.
Chelsea still the Blues. Maybe City Sky Blues?

Without thinking, I very nearly instinctively replied saying "well as a young man myself, I have fond memories of the Baseball Ground" before thinking a little harder and realising I'm on the eve of 38 years of age and although I had a season ticket for the last 2 seasons at the Baseball Ground, I was only 11 when we left!
My brother who is 2 years younger than me barely remembers it so it's actually quite mad to think that you're quite right, there really are people well into their 30s who either didn't go or don't remember the Baseball Ground.
How depressing

'That dead footballer' happens to be our record goalscorer. And I don't think it was just that remark that has aroused suspicion - you seem to hate everything about the Derby fan experience whilst making up some irrelevant nonsense about a club down the road. When they were rotting in League One, they certainly weren't booming out anything - in fact, a lot of them abandoned the club & the place was like a morgue. Their support is an embarrassment & so are your comments.

I hate to go to task on it , but if you an opposing fan sat in away end listening to that .It sounds like your about to face an army of derbyshire morris dancers waving their sticks ..........its not intimidating at all .
You get the U2 guitar instrumental on as the players come out the tunnel the whole ground would be up for it and the aways fans would deffo sense a were up for it game .

Can we not be a bunch of moaning Minnies about minor refereeing decisions? Go on the opposition forum and they'll be saying the same things about the ref. It was a good game that Peterborough edged as they were better than us, not because we might have had a throw in awarded to us in our own half.

Agreed, cant see us making up the 4 point gap with only 21 games remaining.

Ultimately, it's all about the team for me... it's a team game when all said and done.
Both Rhodes and May play for teams that haven't scored as many as us.
Arguably, we're doing just fine without them.

It’s not been forgotten. I openly criticised him for conceding the penalty (and I’m pretty sure he’d freely accept that criticism) but that doesn’t mean I don’t recognise the good things he did last night.

Sweetness34 got a reaction from HeyHudson in Safe Standing Is Coming to Pride Park
What an overreaction to something very basic. Typical of this day and age though.
So the club have introduced safe standing but need to make it very clear to everybody that it isn't a general admision and doesn't mean you can go stand where you want like we used to on the popside.
It appears to me that in order to get that message across, they introduced more rigerous ticket checks before the very first match after the rails were installed.
And that gets the message across. A 5 second check to make sure you're not going to stand in another block to be with your mates, nothing more and nothing less.
Give it a few matches and they probably won't be as vigerous (if they are, then perhaps it might be time to start moaning)
It seams to me that a tempory slight diruption is a small price to pay for gettting what you've been wanting for a decade or two
