Well, at least you've given him a fair crack of the whip before making your mind up 😂 Nothing like 135 minutes of football to form a complete assessment of a player

The instinctive nature of the finish was so sharp that I've been genuinely wondering about trying him as a false 9 with NML and CBT either side, a la Liverpool with Firmino... 👀
Outlandish notions aside, I think he's the perfect replacement for the advanced midfield role Bird's currently playing, after Max departs. If we could consistently get Sibley in the gaps between the opposition's midfield and defence, I think he could be a menace going forward for us.

To play devil's advocate: in hindsight and based on current standings, what proved to be the rational course of action was patience. So there is an argument that those wanted Warne gone earlier in the season were irrational in their views.
However, the danger for anyone self-aggrandising and saying they were ''correct'', is that position in the league table doesn't matter until the end of the season. If we fail to get promoted, I think most will admit this season wasn't a success, and I think even the most ardent Warne supporter would struggle to argue against his tenure being classed as a failure.
FWIW i'm hoping Warne takes us up, by hook or by crook- I suspect that'd give everyone more faith in Mr Warne and we could go into next season more united as a fanbase?

2018/19 Collins scored 25 goals at this level for Luton, Didzy's best season was likely 20/21 where he scored 8 in the PL, each goal there is worth 3/4 at this level.
It's a bizarrely reductionist argument to try and discredit individual achievement. Rather we should be grateful to have had 2 players that are capable of hitting 20+ league goals a season?

I made this point in the time when things were at their worst. I saw myself as a 'give him a chance' fan,  rather than pro-Warne yet sometimes it felt I was one of only a handful arguing to keep him.
His record was there to be seen, the results weren't that bad and the performances weren't as shocking as suggested. Fortunately patience was kept and he's improved us to be about where I'd think is par.
I'm actually probably closer to Warne out now with us second, than when we dropping out the play off places early in the season,  because he's had time with his 'own' squad and a couple of performances recently have been horrible.
He's here for the season...anything can wait til the close season.

I genuinely respect your opinion, and as you suggest, an individuals perspective will be influenced by their thoughts on the way things operated during Mel Morris's tenure. However, the vast majority would agree, that the financial management was totally shambolic.
To the many people who've taken an interest, the whole thing with Pearce will seem odd. It's hard to imagine that someone so closely involved in what was without doubt, Derby County's darkest days, is actually still at the club. In most organisational changes (non football included) of the scale of what has taken place at DCFC, a top level restructuring would (at some point) see a wholesale clear out of the previous administration. Pearce still being at the club is strange enough, but to suggest that he can barely utter anything of relevance due to NDA's seems ridiculous and only fuels suspicions.
It seems only a close knit group of people are aware of the motivation behind keeping SP at the club. It should be remembered that the loyal supporters played a massive part in saving the club, ensuring that it was worthwhile Mr Clowes getting involved. If the fans had turned their back, there would be no DCFC. Makes one wonder, if Mr Pearce has ever considered that it would be better to walk away, rather than apparently being muted by NDA's, and tainted by associated with the previous administrations murky finances. That's probably the honourable thing to do, but perhaps not in the world we currently live in.

The crazy thing is, I fully regard you as pro-Warne. I know you're not and it's interesting thinking about it now that your sheer common sense stands at such odds with the rhetoric of the 'Warne Out' brigade that it makes you seem directly opposed to them...
When I think about it, there's very few posters I would say are out and out 'pro-Warne', it's almost like the moderates have been radicalised into backing the manager more than they feel naturally, because of the ridiculous amount of negativity from the other side?
