ramsbottom got a reaction from ariotofmyown in Watchable telly
Just annoyed me when A & B decided to do X to C, yet didn't explain it at all. It's like the writers realised that it made zero sense so didn't even attempt to make it plausible. Pretty much ruined a good show for me...

The Waldo Moment has to be one of the worst episodes of TV I've ever seen, so one the nose, and nowhere near as razor sharp satirical as it thinks it is. Plus the bloke playing comedian is 100% punchable!!!
However, I think Be Right Back, White Bear, San Junipero & USS Callister are brilliant.

Enjoyed The Stranger up until the last episode, then it seriously stretched believability, and ended up annoying me...

Uncut Gems. 8.5/10.
Not something you'd watch over and over, but a good watch nevertheless. Adam Sandler played the role brilliantly considering he's normally known for his comedic roles. Very fast paced and basically 2 hours 15 minutes of anxiety. ?

You're generous. Worst film I've seen all year...

I really enjoyed this one. Rudy Ray Moore is hilarious anyway, but it's great to see Eddie Murphy actually having a blast doing something he's genuinely invested in for the first time in a long time.

Kids walking along the street blaring music out their phones... What are they expecting? Me to saddle up to them and say "Mmm, Drake, excellent choice" and give him a high 5? Put ya f***in earphones in ya little ***t!!!

ramsbottom got a reaction from loweman2 in Derby County Shirt Collection
Any idea where you can get hold of the 95/96 numbers & lettering??? Got hold of the home shirt and wanted to put 10 Asanovic on the back with the Premier league patches. No problem getting hold of the right patches, but ebay only have the season after's numbering when they changed to the rounded font...

ramsbottom got a reaction from Mostyn6 in New parents
This. Our lad had a dummy for about a month and he's a proper gobby so & so. I also thinks it's how you talk to them as well. Wherever possible I've never dumbed conversations down, and talked to him as I would an adult. Helps with their vocabulary and they're able to understand stuff quicker.

my closest friends didn't give their kids dummies, and instead encouraged them to be chatty and talkative, now, my god-daughter is 19 and godson is 14 and they are absolutely awesome, I mean truly awesome. They can be cheeky, and charming in equal measure, but they are prepared for the most important thing in the world, interaction. They were well behaved kids and learned that speaking/communicating instead of screaming tantrums was the best way to get what they wanted, and as such were brilliant to look after, and very amusing when they were trying to get something they wanted.
Obviously, some parents will want more peace and quiet, but as has been said, it's a quick life watching them grow, so get as much interaction and bonding as you can when they're learning.
If I have kids, I will try to raise them as my godkids have been raised.

He's probably already drafted the writ to Vincent Tan (is Tan still rocking the bond villain look BTW)?
"Middlesbrough football club would've been a premier league club if they'd hired warnock and not pulis, thus Cardiff City should reemburse Middlesbrough all their premier league dosh"

Both very much vw golf's in a frock and a few extra toys
Nice though. I've done 40k so far in mine since November and it's giving me 60 odd to the gallon, and dead comfy.

Traded in my Cupra SC 290 last Friday, 3 years from new and no real problems.
Very quick off the mark if you caught the traction control right, in gear acceleration was superb, especially with the DSG box always ready to kick down, and the adaptive suspension worked really well and made a noticeable difference to the ride, which wasn't overly harsh even in Cupra mode.
Fuel economy pretty decent, I did 6000 miles of predominantly town driving and got around 25 mpg displayed, but with stop start I filled it less often than the 1.8 FR that preceded it, and a main dealer service was never more than £220 quid.
It's not quite a Golf R build wise, but then again it was a lot cheaper once discount and equipment was taken into account.

That’s insane. I pick up my Xs Max and it unlocks when I swipe up without a second thought. The fact it uses my face to unlock is something I don’t even think about now or notice because it happens in a fraction of a second!
