I think my point about managerial changes stands though. Other than McLaren, did any ultimately make any difference?

I genuinely think as well that it’s unfair to judge Warne outside of this season. Last season we all agreed it was a small, ageing squad which withered late on- arguably understandably given the constraints on the club when building the squad. Warne admitted he should have added one or two more in January and he’s learned from that. I would also have liked him to say he could have trusted the 21s more but you can’t have it all
I can honestly understand everyone’s frustrations at losing to Stevenage but I do think it’s fallacious to call for his head at the moment and am genuinely surprised there aren’t more people who agree (I know there are some)

Some (so called) supporters are verging on hysterical in their attempts to get Warne sacked. Will we never learn? How many times must we go down this road of appointing, losing patience, sacking a whole team of coaching staff at great expense to start the cycle off all again. If you can’t support the Club just 14 months after near extinction, even if in gratitude to David Clowes then frankly I think you should stay away (put politely)

I think it's an active choice that every attending supporter makes on the day, whether to get behind the team and encourage them, or whether to look for something to complain and shout abuse about before we've even kicked a ball.
I have had my say about the football on here, but at games I keep supporting, keep clapping, keep hoping the next attack for us will produce a goal.
We have heard from the Club, like we asked, now we can choose to get behind the team for a few weeks and see whether it makes any difference.
If someone can't,  then I am guessing that Eaton Ram is saying it's better to stay away.
It's like people who say the atmosphere will be toxic now, as if that is a separate entity outside of their control. It isn't.  It's us.
I'm not bothered about those people sitting complaining from the comfort of their armchairs week after week, the players can't hear them.

This is a Pro Warne thread, and I’m in.
If you don’t like him or his football or whatever he wears then get out of this thread and choose one of the many negative threads about him to discuss your views or carry on regardless.
So I can hang out with @Jourdan who used to be such a negative poster in the past but is a ray of sunshine these days and he wears it very well and realises a season of football is like the Grand National and our beloved team are still positioned well in the league to have a successful season and I’m right behind all the staff and players at Derby County.
    Up The Rams.
ps look at Birmingham City fans already attacking Rooney, football funny old game!…..

I don’t think that’s fair. I think some of it is that whatever he did, people would see things to criticise given they’ve decided he’s no good
Also, I do think the reaction of some fans is a bit silly. They’re not exactly rock bottom. They’re well in touch of the top 6 and it’s still early
He always accepts that they need to be better and he understands fan frustration
Fwiw I also think the players are still playing for him

I understand that when the football isn’t pretty, and the league position is dire, football fans will inevitably lash out. However, I am amazed that there are a good number on here tonight slating our owner. This is a staggering state of affairs even for our club, only some 15 months since he saved us.  Cool it down lads.

Sorry , I just don’t get it , and as for the management team being arrogant and stubborn it’s almost as if some think they are reading this forum and totally ignoring the advice / direction that the amateur managers are giving them which is clearly right ,
he was asked about outside noise and he said how they deal with it in terms of doing they’re job 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes me and my Son too, not that it matters really as many follow home and away at great expense. Kind of what we do though and is always a choice to you and your Son..
I am not offended by this in the slightest. In fact he is bang on with his comments. If you wish to be offended that you are the outside noise then perhaps that is a reflection more on you than him.
Lets be honest, and as you know considering you were at Blackpool, fans singing PW your football is s**t at nil nil after 30 minutes is pathetic considering we went onto a great victory that night. A minority of fans sung this but still. 3 nil down fill your boots but at nil nil, jesus would have wept.
All Richie Barker did is publically state that they are getting the players focused and to ignore the negative outside noise, of which there is as we all know. This is good management. Keeping the players positive and focused is the only way we will win football games and get us out this league.
You can twist and turn words all you like to be offended in one way or another. Keep a level head and stay positive. It is amazing what togetherness can do.

Let’s cancel all the interviews with the coaching staff and players and then you’ll have “didly squat” to moan about - or probably just make something up like some of the other posters on here do. Good job Warne, Barker and particularly David Clowes don’t take any notice of the outside noise, otherwise we wouldn’t have a club to “support” (?).

Many previous managers have done this, sending out their deputies but only when the team has won. Cloughie did it with Garner. Warne fronted up after the disappointing Cambridge, Shrewsbury & Cheltenham games so no great surprise he got Barker to come out on Tuesday.

The question was literally framed as "It's important not to get carried away with outside noise isn't it?" so Barker had every right to answer the question using the very same phrase.
Some people will just choose to take offence to anything if it fits with their preconceived narrative.

Shame to see so-called fans labelling our own player as 'dogshit' and other choice terms. By all means call him out on the game, but is the abuse really necessary? He's a Derby player after all. Some on here might like to consider how they'd feel if they were being assessed in such charming terms for their efforts at their place of work. Whatever you think of his ability, he's still a Rams player and entitled to a modicum of respect from us fans as such. He's also 5 from 13 in the league this season, which is far from the horror story some of the drama queens on here portray. Hard to imagine, other spitting on the badge or flat out throwing it in, what would actually warrant terms like 'dogshit', but missing an easy square pass certainly isn't one of them. And this after we've won the game too!
Likewise Exeter - without fail, every time we win, we get a chorus of "well (insert club name) were by far the worst team we've faced all millennium" type comments. So f****** tedious. Last night, Oxford were beaten by a team languishing in the bottom 3 and Portsmouth could not muster a goal in 95 minutes against the mighty Cambridge, which more sensible heads might think tells you all you need to know about this league. The fact is, we're a league 1 team (as was evidenced by our failure to secure promotion last season) and right now we're playing like one, as often as not. The very same people who sagely pontificated on how hard it would be to get out of this league, are some the chippiest ***** on here now we're struggling. Get in the bin!
As for the game, the result was never in doubt. I thought we looked comfortable, pretty much throughout and were more than good value for the 2-0. They tried to play football, which was a pleasant surprise, but we were very good without the ball last night, harrying and pressing well and you could see their last vestiges of hope evaporate with the second goal. On the rare occasions they enjoyed a little possession, we kept our shape brilliantly and never really gave them too much hope. I think we look as good as any team I've seen in the league defensively speaking and we have a decent quality midfield if we can somehow keep Max healthy of mind and body and in good form. Still short of that explosive goal threat, though if we play like we did last night, we've enough to trouble most sides.
As for the result, it could and maybe should have been 4-0 and without the interventions of the myopic linesman, it might well have been. Surely that is worthy of more than begrudging praise, if any. Let's be honest here, there's no such thing as a 'routine win' for a side with our current home record! With 'routine' help from the officials, more often than not we conspire to turns 3 points into 1, or none at all, so let's not pretend otherwise, eh!
Moving forwards, I hope that this is not another false dawn and that the attacking line-up is deployed against all but the best teams in the league, where a more circumspect approach is perhaps understandable. While I think we're a long way off Championship quality right now, we do have a strongish squad for L1 and we really need to be ensconcing ourselves firmly in the top 6 sooner, rather than later. Meet that milestone and we can then set about trying to reel in Oxford and / or Pompey which is a far from impossible feat if we can just add some consistency to our game.

I’m with you, he’s a limited footballer but hardly the useless player some make him out to be.
He’s scored 5 goals so far this season (yes 2 were penalties but they still count and he still has to be composed enough to take it and score), puts a shift in when called upon, does occasionally get involved in build up play (he sent Bird away for the pullback to Barkhuizen on the weekend), and does his work in defence too.
Are there better strikers out there? Yeah for sure. Do I appreciate Collins for doing his job while he’s here? Yep
