I think you can say that it’s been a bad decision for both Rooney and the club to appoint him. An experienced manager with pedigree would have had a tough job keeping us up this season but probably would have by sticking with a consistent back to basics approach ( 3 or 4 more draws would have probably seen us safe). WR’s lack of experience caused him to run before he could walk and change the approach from staying solid to playing with a ‘style’ he wanted to see because he arrogantly assumed we were safe. That he wasn’t able to read the signs and see that our football club is the last place to be starting your career in football management is also quite telling.
I don’t think anybody in their right mind will take a punt on him for a while and he will need to go back to being part of somebody else’s coaching set up. I can’t think of any examples when somebody has had such a catastrophic start to a management career and gone on to do well (I’m sure somebody can and will prove that wrong).

I was lifted momentarily after the final whistle but I’ve got no confidence that  we will actually get any points from our last 3 games. I’ve never ever been this pessimistic about Derby and I hate the feeling. It’s like the football version of the slowest suicide in history

I did some searches on this Oktohari character and translated some articles from Indonesian.
In the last year he has seemingly been involved in fraud and embezzlement cases regarding his father’s property business who have denied involvement (his father is a prominent politician). It says  that the original investigation by the police was not very thorough  which led to accusations of them being too friendly  with Oktohari. I can’t be bothered to copy and paste it all on here as it was across a few different articles but he is known as RSO and his Dad is known as OSO, look it up if you got nothing better to do like me ?
Who knows what to believe about any of it, it does have that distinct whiff of the ‘Derby Way’ about it.

I’m fairly ambivalent about this. The realist in me says it’s likely to be similar to the last few years. Some up’s up’s maybe a few more downs. Optimistically I see it might be a bit of a roller coaster. One thing that is certain is that everything that happens over the next few years (and probably forevermore) will be overdramatised. When I was younger I remember blowing these off field events completely out of proportion. When you take a step back you realise they’re actually the rule and not the exception at our club. This over reaction is amplified in present day by the internet and we are currently going through a phase of indignant outrage in society about virtually everything. Just sit back and experience the ride.

Deporting immigrants who break the law is a standard approach in many countries.
Angela Merkel recently voted against same-sex marriage in the German Parliament, where the ruling party are her Christian Democrats and therefore religiously influenced conservatives.
In my experience it's standard for anyone on the left to label anyone who disagrees with them "far right". It's the nature of the polarized societies we live in, driven in large part by social media algorithms.
I'll judge him as I find him.

Before putting Brian Clough on a Tory vs Labour moral pedestal, his views towards Justin Fashanu sexuality and his flexible socialist  attitude when taking a bung make uncomfortable reading. I haven’t got a problem with Brian Clough whatsoever and still consider him a hero but in today’s cancel culture society it’s remarkable how we find a way to excuse the misdemeanours of those we love and weaponise what we can against those we dislike. Michael Jackson, David Bowie and John Peel seemingly get a free pass when it comes to being cancelled whilst poor old Leon Brittan’s family were utterly hounded with what turned out to be a smear campaign.
What I do think is fair is that these questions are raised with Alonso as it’s not unreasonable for fans to want to know about his views on such things. I can’t say I’m particularly thrilled if he has ‘Far’ right views but I find the views of the ‘Far’ left as equally deplorable and neo liberal cancel everybody and everything bunch the worst of the lot. This probably means the chances of us finding a perfect custodian of the club as I would like it pretty remote.

Quite. When I heard this possible takeover my first thoughts were whether or not the owners could bring investment and success to my club. But some others seem to look at his politics first and trot out the same issues as for the previous would be owner. Some even said that politics are more important than Derby County! Sacrilege!
