Maybe if we didn’t have a PE teacher for a manager we might close games out.

Poor decision to take Nyambe off, at that particular period of the game.  I went bonkers at the time and sadly was right. It is hugely irritating , Warne made a point in his post match interview to say the substitution wasn’t to blame, it was.

I have revised my earlier more pessimistic prediction upwards. I think our two new signings will make a big difference and as we are second I think we cab stay in the top 2. Why not

It will be very interesting to see what difference Adams makes to the way we set up in midfield and how more effective or midfield is. I hope and believe we will see a big improvement.

Think we should be looking at a 4 at the back for home games, 5 at the back for away games...

Would change the team slightly to:

Vickers
Nyambe - Nelson - Cashin - Sibley
Bird - Adams - Hourihane
Barks - Collins - Wilson

Adams breathed new life into the team v Charlton, and I really hope he kicks on allowing Hourihane & Bird to free roam.

No he’s right except for the bounce which looks great when the whole south stand and half of the rest of the ground does it like several times in the Rooney season. It’s gone a bit flat now along with the atmosphere more generally. But sorry Mull of Kintyre really works for Forest. Firstly it’s a really nice tune as opposed to the SBW mockney dirge. Secondly though it’s a nostalgic link to that period when they were winning leagues and European cups.

At some point we’re going to have to come to the realisation that with so many players out of contract at the end of the season, and with Warne turning Derby into a short-term stop gap for footballers, we’re going to have a complete rebuild to build a culture within the dressing room. 
How on earth can you have faith in Warne/Thomas/Pearce.. to oversee that based on their body of work up to now?

I'm generally an optimist but they can't dress this up, they really messed up. No point trying to blame any individuals. The club messed up

I dont want to say too much on the matter but if we manage to get into the championship this season expect him to stick around…

I love this signing for nothing more than this being a competency test for both our recruitment and coaching staff.
A player, who lets be fair, hasn’t proven anything beyond fourth tier in English football has been bought in and plays a position where we have five or six options already on the books, potentially 7 or 8 depending on how far down the list you want to go: Hourihane, Bird, Sibley, Thompson, Fornah, Smith, Radcliffe and Robinson. A position of the pitch where despite the quantity of players and individual ability there still causes us a problem with regards to balance. 
The recruitment staff have essentially nailed their colours to the mast and essentially said we can highlight a player, out of favour, who isn’t proven at our level because we can see ability. This is a good case study for their ability to judge a player and not just going off a CV and availability - like with Bradley, Elder, Ward and so many others we’ve signed. If he turns out to be pony, then we know that the guys tasked with highlighting players couldn’t tell their arse from their elbow and get them promptly binned off.
Warne, despite the options available to him, has brought this player to the club to address the balance and make us a better team. Does his analysis, coaching and strategy all click on the basis of this signing? Is he going to be the dynamic piece we all hope for, or have we just signed another Springett? Can he make use of this signing, does he win his place, does he facilitate what Warne wants to do? 
I have no idea, which is the exciting part, because I’m really keen to see how this one plays out. 

Play offs. No way will we finish in the automatics. Then it’s a lottery but seeing how we are so great at winning crunch matches I’m not at all confident

They are getting one of the auto places for certain. Can we finish above Bolton and Peterborough for the other one? I wouldn’t bet much money on it would you?
