derbydaz22 reacted to Crewton in Have Derby County been treated unfairly by the EFL
I think the EFL rules preventing DCFC from extending the contracts of Academy professionals on low wages and offering professional contracts to players turning 17 robbed DCFC of sufficient players to run functioning teams below 1st team level, put additional strain on those youngsters left behind, presented bargains to clubs that we owed nothing to, and potentially robbed unsecured creditors from receiving further funds over and above what any prospective owner was willing to pay (eg : if DCFC had been able to extend Ebosele's contract on the proviso that any profit from a future transfer was split in an agreed proportion between the club and unsecured creditors, it would at least have meant potentially more money for creditors and no unearned bargain for Udineseford. It would also have meant that, in the event that the club was liquidated, the EFL would have been able to claim higher compensation from any club wishing to acquire their registrations). Their short-sighted rule also, in the case of Ebosele, meant that his Irish club missed out on a healthy sell-on fee.

Unless he had a spare £50m+ burning a hole in his back pocket, I suspect not. It was a matter of time until HMRC or MSD came calling for what we owe them. And having the stadium and training ground repossessed by MSD possibly would have put us in a worse position.
In terms of the EFL, there's no doubt we were badly treated. Having the ground valued by a guy that knew nothing about valuing sports stadiums. The amortization charge off the back of an "expert" who literally did not know the rules he was supposedly an expert on. Points deductions for offences under rules that were subsequently changed to make sure other clubs didn't break them. Various demands that the administrators break the law or they'd kick us out of the league. Rewriting administration law on a whim to benefit the parasite clubs. An apparently harsher enforced business-plan than any other club has been forced under. I could go on...

I suppose we can only truly answer that question when another club enter a similar position and we see how they are treated. I will forever feel as though the EFL wanted us gone, I may be wrong but I reserve the right to forever feel it. I dont regret for a moment fantasizing about giving Rick Parry a lift and then dropping him off at Snake Pass, blaming him more than the Teeside Dog Botherer and that Carpark magnate for this sense that we got extra punative measures.
But consider this. Without pushing us to the brink, helping to bleed us to a point that debts are massive and there were no saleable assets to resolve it, pushing us to a point where only someone so obsessed with Derby they name their dog 'Hector' would step forward; would we be Mike Ashley's DCFC now? Or worse?
Yes I feel the EFL acquiesced to Wycomes and Middlesborough's wish to eliminate a rival business, but if they hadn't then right now it could have been worse.

Will it stay on when the warmer weather comes? Maybe a good luck charm? Has he been cultivating a hair transplant under it all these weeks? We should be told.

Worst nightmare last night. Didn’t get battered, but did get an injury to a key player.

We need to get behind Collins. He is an old fashioned honest league 1 centre forward playing against Premier League defenders tonight.
He's going to score some important goals for us, and his work rate and effort will tire defenders and make chances for others.
I don't know what anyone expected us to get when we can't buy anyone.

Cracking player and will only continue to grow under Warne. Definitely see Warne as a good fatherly figure for the lad

Southgate is only doing what all England managers have picking their favourites. sadly the biggest mistake was made by Sir Alf Ramsey sticking with an ageing error prone Bobby Moore who is rememered for his gift to Poland which stopped us progressing into the World Cup Finals, also keeping out our own Roy Mcfarland who was the best CH at that time, sadly Roy was injured and was never the same player, he should have won many more England caps than he did.

If only one then Tomori all the way for me. Classy player and I cannot understand how Southgate keeps omitting him from his England squads.
But I have a soft spot for most ex-Rams and would love to see how some of the ex-academy players like Whitaker and Ebiowei would fare in this team.

Festy 17 minutes of Serie A football.
Ebiowei 31 minutes of Premier League football.
Such a waste of their development.

I hope so. The players deserve a sell out, but I just think that some fans don`t see the FA Cup as being important anymore, which is such a shame.

I think the world of Liam Rosenoir, he did nothing but good for Derby County FC. I wish him all the best at Hull City.
I think that Paul Warne is doing a great job at Derby.
It is possible to have both the above opinions.

I think its a waste of time speculating on where we would be if we kept Rosenior or where we would have been had Warne been here all season. But we know that Warne would not have played Knight at right back. I am a big fan of Warne and have every confidence in him taking us to the premiership in a few seasons
