2 garbage sides offering up hoof ball football.
Derby are way to pedestrian with the ball.
PW has had weeks to prepare for this game and I can see little to no improvement.
However he will have my full support until sacked then I will be happier.

because Warne is one of those managers who is obsessed with fitness. He should go and coach Mo Farah, I want to watch footballers not 10,000 metre runners

    Read my post again.
I'm not a Warne fan. I think his football is poor, especially this season.
I'm pointing out, he has some reasonable excuses today, so it can't be the final straw.
However there are very few straws left.

Sage even with them players back it will still be the old lump it forward and chase the ball that the football will pass most of these guys by. I'd rather we had lost today and at least been a bit entertained. Do you really want another 3 years watching this.  wouldn't mind if we hovering around the play offs in the championship like Rowett but this is league 1.

It’s because there’s nothing to get excited about going to watch games mate. I dread it if I’m being honest because we launch it up to a 5’7 striker who is too small to win anything. We play far too many defensive players which is why we lack creativity. I’d sack him now but I know Clowes won’t. Cambridge would be the game where if we don’t win it, with players coming back to full fitness then I think he’ll go.

I’m loathe to wade in to this thread *but* I would suggest anyone who wasn’t there last night waits to form an opinion until they have seen/heard the answers for themselves, rather than basing their view on a Twitter thread.
I think the plan is for the footage to be released tonight.

Ridiculous that once again certain people who didn't attend the forum are already criticising aspects of what was "said" before they've even had the chance to watch the forum themselves.

I'll write something more serious than taking the mickey out of manager.
I don't enjoy Warne football. It's not just the style of football I have an issue with, I think it's the underlying problem of the most important aspect of any manager, is he getting the maximum out of his squad. And the simple answer is no. A big wage budget, as good of a backing as he will receive from our owner despite the circumstances with limits from the EFL, fantastic training facilities. He has no excuses in my view.
Maybe it is an ego problem on my part, watching teams with significantly less resources than ourselves pass the football better and making our players run like headless chickens to regain possession, particularly at home, really grinds my teeth. I don't feel like Pride Park is a fortress under Warne. Strangely I don't feel confident like I used to. Surrendering possession at home does not give me reassurance that we are in control of matches, we are currently waiting on a massive error in the opponent's half or a 1 in 30 cross to find the back of the net. It is very basic, not much thought process and currently is giving us mixed results. Unfortunately Warne way is not for me although I do hope he has a lightbulb moment and conjures an attractive counter attacking style.

And it's blatantly obvious now that Jody Morris was the brains behind the operation.  It's no coincidence that his Everton tenor was so bad with Clement as his No 2.
I for one voted yes.  I prefer to watch a gung ho, heavy metal pressing game, than endless passes between our back 4.  I think Warne's problem is that he's turning us into underdogs for most games.  It's the same issue that Moyes had when he went to Man Utd.  Now I'm not for a second comparing us to them, or displaying the kind of entitlement reserved for those gimps up the A52, but we're a big club in this division (and the one above) and every team, regardless of whether we're home or away, shouldn't look forward to playing us.  But I get the feeling that a lot of his ethos is based on being a scrappy, "have a good go" team, whereas we should have a bit more arrogance about us.

    Back on topic for the match, Warne has said before he doesn’t like to change a winning team, as we lost the last game he’s got chance to make changes for this game. A couple of the players should be building up their fitness after injury (mainly Sibley and Barkhuizen), the new signings have had chance to train with their team mates, so while we do still have injuries to deal with there’s the chance to put out a competitive side. I’d like to see (but don’t necessarily think this is what Warne would choose) this;
                  Wildsmith
    Smith  Nelson  Cashin  Forsyth
                    Fornah
       Embleton        Hourihane
    NML         Waghorn       Sibley
Bench: Vickers, Bradley, Elder, Radcliffe, TJJ, Washington, Barkhuizen
There’s a lack of pace at the back so would just tell them to be solid and keep it simple, Fornah to screen the back 4 and get us moving forward, Hourihane to link defence and attack, Embleton to drive forward from midfield, and the front 3 to be a bit more fluid/varied in their play. At times NML and Sibley play as orthodox wide men, other times Waggy drops deep and they fill the space…..that sort of thing 🤷🏻‍♂️
I realise it won’t happen that way, but it’s what I’d like to see.

derbydaz22 reacted to 8Leeds in Thanks to Mel. We are in this mess.
Are we going to continue to blame him for everything for the foreseeable future?
Yes, Mel over spent on tripe and ruined the harmony in the dressing room by doing so, he can take the vast majority of the blame for why we are in league one but he’s not the one forcing us to use Sunday league style tactics and making a good squad of players look poor, that’s the fault of our current manager, a man that doesn’t get the best out of the players at his disposal or use them to their strengths.
Did Mel want the limelight, Yes
Did he make rash decisions, Yes
Did he take us from the cusp of promotion to broken in league one, yeah he f****** did.
But, he spent a fortune of his own money doing so and I believe deep down he did it because he loved the club and wanted to return them to the top flight, yes, he’d of loved the adulation but on the whole his intentions were good.
Us currently playing like we think the ball is full of Semtex is not his fault.

Mel was awful in the circumstances. But the number one cause of our plight is FFP. If that never came into light, we wouldn’t have needed to try and get around the rules to financially compete with parachute payment clubs.
I’m not a fan of Mel. But on the face of it, all he did was plough loads of his own money into the club he loved and naively thought that would be enough to get us promoted.
The way we spent the money was just ridiculous. Clueless. But was that Mel’s fault or those spending his money?
When you look at the spend in today’s market. How do you spend £25m+ in fees like we did in 2015/16 and actually get worse? I’m convinced Derby, Everton and Man Utd are the three worst spenders in English football over the past decade.
