Would be great if the Cardiff game was a sellout..just to pay full respect to the great effort of our management and playing staff..wherever we are at that moment, relegated or still fighting it shouldn't matter..the effort and dedication shown this season deserves a full stadium to celebrate.

Derby fans taking delight in Birmingham's plight should be ashamed. Yes, I'm well aware of the 'party' chant, but confident that's the empty vessels speaking the loudest.
Don't stoop to their level. No football fan deserves what we are going/have gone through.
Not even Millwall.

This club needs to basically do the opposite of everything that Mel did over his tenure.
Including having a more switched on,open to the future,owner who takes the time to share his thoughts and answers the questions put to him on current platforms.
I like his attitude and openness and he seems like a breath of fresh air to me.
Here's hoping it all goes through quickly and some major changes start taking place.

Two points separating the top four and Leeds with a game in hand. A real nail biter to the last of course and yes we are biased but isn't that the best way , to have an open competition rather than the closed shop we see nowadays? 

Matchday 39 – Saturday 8th April 1972 & the visit to Bramall Lane, Sheffield
Sheffield Utd had led the division until early October & although they had now slipped to 9th, they were still having an excellent first season after promotion. Derby meanwhile were desperate for a win after dropping 3 points in their last two games. A good time then for the Rams to turn in their best away result of the season, walloping the Blades 0-4 with goals from Gemmill, O’Hare, Hector & Durban

Derby’s win meant they stayed top but the other 3 title challengers all won also. Rodney Marsh scored his first two Man City goals in a 3-1 home win against West Ham whilst Liverpool also won 3-1, at home to Coventry. Leeds meanwhile belied their ordinary away form with a 0-3 win away at Stoke to stay 2nd & a point behind the Rams;

Morris could have flogged the club if he'd wanted to avoid all of this but like anything the price had to be right. And it was Morris who was setting the price.
So instead of getting something back for the club for himself he's now created this purgatory for the fans so in effect he's been the architect of a lose lose scenario. 
Another shrewd business decision.

Speaking so well on MNF. A few takes from it. 
 
- Out of 5 players contracted beyond this season 2 are options which we cannot take up while in administration. 
- Wants to build a squad at Derby and build over 2-3 years. 
- Wasn't happy how we were playing last season. 
- Wants to play possession based football. 
- Ref Ravel, says he’s been brilliant, when out the team he was great around the dressing room and with the kids. 
- How does he get to manage Manure or Everton - have belief in himself, says with Derby he’s developing as a manager/coach/person. 
- Got approached by Everton, felt it wasn’t the right time as he’s still developing. 
 
Speaks so well. 5/10 years ago you could never imagine him coming across as well as he does. 

 

I think it’ll be out our hands when the points come into place. Surely there will be a procedure that states a cut off etc?
either way, if the solution is a points deduction I’m 100% certain it will b better to take it now. 
even if we ‘would’ have stayed up because we get these 6 points back… surely starting with a clean slate in league 1 is better than -15 in the championship and having this mentally draining ‘fight till the end’ season AGAIN. 
Take the points, take heart from how close we ran it and use that to start a new winning mentality and build a squad with Rooneys vision for going up back to back! 
 

Are you paying 50 million for derby? No I don’t think you are. If you had 50 million would you buy derby unless your just happy chucking money down a drain they maybe. The club is not worth 50 million it’s simple. Buyers will offer less to get more money thrown into the stadium which is the main asset you want. Unfortunately this is the mess the former incompetent owner left and thankfully someone is picking up the pieces. We should be happy to still have a club after the mess we’ve been left 

I agree here. If Reading win their game in hand this week it'll be 9 points with 6 to go. Meaning we've got to win at least 3 out of 6 to have any chance and even that would mean we'd need Reading to lose all 6.
I can't see us winning 3 out of the last 6 game. Realistically Reading will win at least 2. Meaning we'd need 5 wins minimum and we aren't doing that.
If Reading beat Stoke at home this week then any slim chance we have is gone.
If we're gonna get -15 points taken off us then it might as well be now. Sweep this god awful season under the rug and give ourselves the best chance of getting out of league one next season.

Bottom line is Mel wants MSD repaid - be that £20m or £22m or even a bit more - from this administration process.
Ashley, nor any other serious businessperson imo, is going to pay large bucks for the club without taking full stadium ownership. So if Morris sells to the Council I think Ashley and others will walk away from the table (not that Ashley is overly close to the table at the minute). No matter what all the twisting and turning of this thread, the problem is Morris. He should personally settle the debts with MSD, and agree to hand ‘our stadium’ back, foc, as part of the sale. The Administrators can then actually complete their job which is to get the best recovery possible for the creditors, and to make sure who they select through the process, has the wherewithal to run the club after it comes out of administration. In short, cough up and duck off Morris.
 

Well for a start, you should be using @loweman2's book for any reference to historic Derby County kits.
Secondly - if you know anything about the history of the club, you will know what colours they played in during their most successful period - ever.

Matchday 36 – Saturday 1st April 1972 & the eagerly awaited clash between Derby & Leeds at the Baseball Ground
Leeds’ record against fellow title contenders had been very impressive – beating Man City comfortably at Elland Road, the only side to beat Liverpool at Anfield in 71/72 & had inflicted Derby’s biggest defeat of the season at Elland Road back in December. However, this match was to buck that trend with Derby putting on a champion display to win 2-0 – goals from John O’Hare & an own goal from Franny Lee’s punch bag in front of a raucous BBG crowd

Pre-match edition of The Ram (mindful of the imminent full house v Leeds) was still focusing on the low gate against Ipswich the previous week. Further in the paper was criticism of poor average gates at Leeds & Man City from the national press, both of whom had significantly higher ground capacities than Derby;

 
Derby’s win coupled with Man City’s shock 1-2 home defeat by Stoke meant that for the first time in 1971/72, the Rams sat top of the First Division table. With 6 games to go, had Derby timed their title charge perfectly? Elsewhere, Liverpool beat West Brom 2-0 at Anfield to bring the top 4 all within 3 points;

Not many managers leave clubs on good terms. 
If unfortunately Wayne does leave, he will leave as a hero. Maybe not due to performing a miracle, but for his loyalty and his leadership through a time where thing could not get any worse. Captains of a sinking ship should always be the last to leave. He has been our captain to the best of his ability and he has gained our respect for the rest of his managerial career. 

Don’t want him anywhere near again, the guys worth 100s of millions and left St. John’s ambulance 8k short, he’s awful 

What are protests going to achieve? Is Mike Ashley going to suddenly feel guilty and table a workable bid? Is Andy Appleby going to be inspired to find that extra $20m down the back of his sofa?
The march did a brilliant job of getting our plight into the headlines. Our attendances have helped keeping the revenue flowing and the atmosphere at games has shown our togetherness as a club. 
IMO, we need positivity, not protest. We need to attract a buyer, not show them how unpleasant we can be.

Option D - Get in the ground early. Have a few drinks and a bite to eat. Get to your seat early and support the team.

I hope we can get a win because the whole thing is utterly depressing right now. It’s only the matches and the excellent levels of effort  that have kept me going. If we continue the drifting off, it will become a pretty exhausting affair. 

Can't believe how taken in by him I was. It literally took us entering administration before I started to smell the coffee. Even then I thought that perhaps it was out of desperation at the situation with the EFL and there was some method to the madness. Gilt and varnish hides a multitude of sins they say and sadly, that's never been truer than with Morris. If I met him now I'd be seriously hard pushed not to throat punch the Bamford. It's a strange feeling to find someone I once genuinely respected so utterly repugnant a mere handful of months later.
