TimRam reacted to Tyler Durden in Matt Clarke - signed for WBA on loan
Like the way he gets slagged on here, will see how much of a loss he was when we start the season with our academy players at centre half.

Mary had a little lamb, she also had a bear. I never saw her little lamb but I often saw her bear.

TimRam reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in The billionaire space race
The previous chap did it without and just used a parachute at 6000 altitude to slow descent as he came in. The other way is just plain cheating. I demand a recount.

TimRam got a reaction from Reggie Greenwood in Is this the most depressing period you’ve experienced as a Derby fan?
Agree, all made worse by what Clough and Taylor were doing down the road. Never had the phrase "Could have been us." rang truer. Strange but I thought the relegation from old div 1 was worse for me than going to old 3rd. Probably as we got cox in and the feeling did not last long.

A new Maiden track was released today. I really like it, some brilliant guitar work from Adrian Smith. Bruce can still hit the notes as well, thankfully, since his cancer treatment.
You’ve got to love Maiden, they still sound strong and they keep progressing their sound, even after 40 + years.

TimRam reacted to Miggins in Random stuff that people do that annoy me
Agree! How rude, especially when you have been waiting in for them. We had this problem. We needed a bathroom cabinet putting up, grouting doing, an over-bath shower installing and a glass shower screen putting in. Three firms said they were interested, made an appointment and never showed up. Then a Polish guy phoned from Nottingham and he did a brilliant job for far less than we had budgeted. Needless to say he received a generous tip!

The early episodes of Mr Bean are good...specially the Exam and Library scenes. I've noticed that all age groups in the family enjoy the series...from my parents to youngest nephew. The films were overkill though. I liked Black Adder 1 and 4.

TimRam reacted to DarkFruitsRam7 in Anybody had a change of heart with Southgate, or still not impressed?
Got us to a semi-final and final in his only two tournaments so far. He’s not the perfect manager, but I’m struggling to see how he can’t be considered the second best in our history.

No change of thought. Always thought him conservative, and a bit negative. and last night confirmed that he is still reluctant to grab hold of a game when it is there for the taking. Starting Mount wide on the left, where Sterling had been excelling, and not having a proper right sided attacker was odd, but he clearly didn't know his best player on the right of the pitch all tournament. Grealish and Foden should have been given more game time. Taking off Henderson at the end again was naive - he has a good penalty record, and putting Sancho and saka at 4 and 5 in the penalties was never going to be a good idea. Some experience and mental toughness was needed in that situation. Henderson, Shaw and Walker would have been better picks for penalties when we were at 129 minutes.
Deserves another go, but he is yet to convince me he has anything other than a good rapport with his squad, rather than being game savvy. Got some very good players at his disposal after all.
