I'll be there. Day after my birfday, so a win would be a nice little present.
But honestly... I'll be happy with a narrow loss and no injuries to continue our league form.

In replacing bryne how about Cyrus Christie, Renaldo Torraj, Lewis Gibson, Julian Jeanvier, Lars Dendoncker, Martin Kelly
Renaldo Torraj on the bench for U21s tonight
didnt see confirmation of the Sonny Blu deal either but he’s playing. Don’t recognise the name Armelindo Mema either.

How did Diallo look tonight? Didn’t get to watch.
Worth a gamble? -
Has there ever been such a thing as a Home membership? Or did I dream that?
Would love to get a season ticket but because of prior commitments I can probably only make 1-2 games a month. Would be good to be able to pay a bit up front to get 24hr priority over general sale or something similar so I have a good chance of getting decent tickets for those games i can make.

Off topic but Plange scored a hattrick for Palace today.

NML & Barkhuizen can also operate as strikers and I'd suggest we aren't going to beat players with trickery/pace down the wings a-la Festy & Ebiowei. Leans towards a more central attacking threat. Plus the technical ability of Hourihane, Bird & Thommo should be enough to out play most midfields.
I mentioned on another topic that the pictures the groundsmen are putting up make the pitch look narrow as well.
Can see us playing a ball on deck, patient build up type of football rather than frenetic wing play, counter or aerial balls forward. I guess that would mean that the much maligned short goal kicks would be here to stay, if it is the case.

Style of football will be interesting
Could be my eyes, but from the tweet below there looks to be more space on the touch line meaning a narrower pitch?
Would make sense if we think we have the better technical players to play in tight spaces but want to negate the physicality and pace of your average league 1 player against our old boys…
Complete guess of course ?

Then has this to say on Derbys staff losing their livelihoods and getting no redundancy for 12 months, at a rate of 10-20% of the amount really due. A Wigan fan as well of all things.
Saw this and looked at his profile to see which club his bias came from (assuming Forest) and was flabbergasted to see he is a Wigan fan.
Just shows the complete willful lack of understanding and general malice from the 'football family'.
I know it was discussed on here earlier about taking the moral high ground and not celebrating should another club went through what we have done. But... with the exception of Blackpool, Palace, Arsenal and a those passive fans who neither supported nor piled on, I would absolutely celebrate another club going through what we have done. Even if it's just to prove that we aren't a one-off and football as a whole is broken and to quash this ridiculous idea that we somehow deserve this.
Sorry, but after the 2 years we have had, I would relish the opportunity to say 'I told you so'. If that makes me a bad person then so be it.

Stretford is the Managing Director of SSS. I don’t think the FA will be clever enough to pin anything to him. I am more concerned about Couhig who seems very confident he has got millions to come from DCFC.
If I were DC, i'd just completely ignore Couhig. That way he'd be forced to bring it to court for a resolution and to acid test his theory that we are solely responsible for the timing of the EFL penalty application.

I would have to agree particularly with regard to Conor Hourihane. No way should he be playing in League One & given his pedigree, his wages must be significant. That said, I do think its very unlikely he'd still be coming here.
I'm also not a fan of journeymen step downs but we do undoubtedly need experience in the squad, albeit at a reasonable wage level. As for the overall recruitment strategy, I'd much rather we were looking at lads who have had impressive seasons in League One/League Two/National League who are still reasonably young, fit our style of play & will be hungry to make that next step.
Yes but they would require a fee... we'll be looking at exclusively out of contract player or very very small fees which isnt going to get you a player who has previously had a good season.
Unfortunately we are going to have to take a few risks on players that have proven quality but are out of form or have been injured a lot. That's just the position we are in.

Think we need to crowd fund a banner for next season. “Never forget those that kicked us when we were down” pictures of Couhig, Gibson, Parry, Morris and the rest looming menacingly. ?

If Derby's creative team don't do a Curtis Davies contract renewal video with him aggressively waving a corner flag at the camera then they'll have missed an open goal IMO.

While I welcome the kick up the arse for the admin, it would appear that certain parties may have slipped the EFL a tenner to get involved on their behalf (that is a joke of course..)
and you know what.. I’m not even mad. Gibson exerted undue pressure on the EFL to get his way (in my opinion). Maybe it’s the only way to play these days.

Getting a little tired of the 'Quantuma aren't talking to us' line from MA.
I'm not trying to defend Quantuma here, but their legal duty as administrators is to get the best deal for the creditors involved. Now, either Quantuma are so bad at their job that they are literally illegal, or CK's offer is still better for creditors than Ashley's offer.
Plus, if they havent ended CK's exclusivity period then they cant talk to Ashley even if they wanted to.. clue is in the name.

Now that the window is closed, do we think that Warne will dip in to the free transfer market given his comments on not disrupting the great atmosphere in the dressing room?
I would guess not but obviously we weren't able to get a senior striker in so we may still be looking in that area. Having said that, I had a look at the free agents still out there according to Transfermarkt and there isn't one I'd take, personally. Few familiar names on there though:
