Chris is that you mate where’s the money?

Just having a couple of drinks in the clubhouse then I'll grab my phone out the locker room and Venmo it.

Post-round curry was a bit dodge though, I have a feeling It'll all come out soon.

  2. Hypothetically -

If CK has transferred the money and it has been subjected to enhanced Money Laundering checks for whatever reasons (Authorities untrusting of Crypto origins, because its a person>company transfer rather than a hedge fund or trust fund purchasing us, or whatever) and it turns out that the delays were outside of his control. What will people do then?

I've seen comments of 'He will need to rebuild bridges if it does go through', I think its the opposite way around. All of this hysteria today and nobody has yet substantiated any source or proof. Some of the accusations and vitriol towards CK today has been shocking. I understand *fully* how stressful this whole situation has been for Derby fans, but personally, I wouldn't want to talk to the media either if I had been turned on like Derby fans have done today, especially if it turns out that it was delayed by external checks after all.

If this does go through, then our fan base has a lot of groveling to do.

Obviously if he has been messing us around this whole time, then fair enough, go for it. But as hard as it is to wait, I wont be aiming both barrels until I hear an explanation form the horses mouth.

Payments to MSD ?.  Thought someone else was buying the stadium.  ?

Didn’t Admin take out bridging loans from MSD?

Then I read the ‘stadium money to MSD’ as a separate sentence. Not his money, but lease agreement is conditional on purchase by the third party and EFL approval conditional on lease agreement…?

I think that the Buchanan extension is very significant. Our embargo was so rigid that we couldn't even extend Jagielka. Something had obviously changed dramatically.

The best case is that the takeover is complete and they are just waiting to announce it. However, the worst case is that the EFL have relaxed the restrictions in order that we will be able to field a team, even if we're still in adminstration - presumably subject to Quantuma finding the cash. Not perfect, but at least we would still have a club next season.

I also wonder if its something to do with dropping into League 1. Maybe because P&S no longer applies to us, some of the restrictions and punishments don't apply.

Believe it is in the EFL regulations that you cannot start a new season if you have entered administration during the previous one. We won’t be starting next season still in admin… one way or t’other.

  5. I'm putting bits together here so maybe jumping to conclusions but:

I read MA's team are still 'working in the background. Obviously the admin wont communicate with him due to CK preferred bidder status', so I would assume the only other person he could have been talking with would be MM (we know they have a much more amicable relationship than MM>CK). Also, various sources advised MM wants Ashley over Kirchner to buy the stadium.

Is it the case that Ashley will pay more for the stadium but less to creditors (hence not gaining PB status from admin)?

Is Ashley in MMs ear to refuse to sell the stadium so that CKs preferred bidder status expires, he pulls out, leaving Admin no choice but to accept the lower offer on behalf of creditors?

Would people prefer a council owned/rented stadium but start next season on 0 points (CK), or would you prefer MA to own the club & stadium but start next year on -15 due to paying less than 35p in the pound?

  6. Ahhh, of course. They were absolved of any wrongdoing by the Independent disciplinary panel…

That should be pretty sound and final then..

    25 AUG 2020 -

Derby County have had both charges against them dismissed by the independent disciplinary commission, meaning they will not face a points deduction or a fine.

The outcome was as follows: Charge one was dismissed. Charge two was also dismissed, save for, the commission found the wording of the amortisation policy in its financial statements could have been clearer.

  7. I’ll be the first to admit I sometimes don’t know where the line is because of my dark sense of humour but a shock tactic may generate headlines. One could photoshop Parry’s face over a trophy hunter standing over the carcasses of Bury, Derby, etc. or Gibson’s face over Derek Chauvin in *that* photo with his knee on the neck of Derby county (although even I’ll admit that’s probably going too far as I by no means advocate making light of that terrible incident)

Obviously this is a hypothetical comment with the intention of promoting discussion on what is acceptable Vs not. You have to be careful they are the right headlines you are generating.

But maybe extreme times call for extreme measures and getting this in to the mainstream media may require a little more than a *F the EFL* banner…?

  8. Yea, I’m struggling a bit.
Neptune bus leaves at half 7 which is too early considering I have to get the train from Loughborough-Derby first.

Train to Reading is about £80, 3.5 hrs and the station is an hours walk from the ground.

    National Express takes 5 hours.

If anyone else knows of any other transport arranged by fan groups or pubs, let me know.

Really saccharine statement from the EFL that galls.

Trevor Birch, EFL Chief Executive said: “The EFL’s objective throughout this ongoing process has been to ensure that the principles of the Regulations were upheld on behalf of all Clubs......."except of course if they get promotion as a result of blatantly ignoring those rules then we'll quietly...ahem.....ignore it".

Does this finally mean we can finally move on from this mess....finally?

And roll on independent regulator please.

Note: “ensure the principles of the regulations were upheld”

    not “the regulations were upheld”

which basically confirms that they have made an example of us… disgusting. Not fit to lead.

Wonder if we’ll find out how much our overspend was and how that compares to Reading when they get the same deduction.
