alexxxxx got a reaction from 1967Ram in The Football Creditor rule is explicit, simple, and solves all of Derby's issues
Our good friends in Bristol, part of the friendly football family of the efl..
The first thinking we have any sort of control about how administrators may run our club or get a buyer..
The second, our good friend Mr P thinking that us as fans that might lose our club... Might have the audacity to consider ourselves victims rather than villains (!)
These clowns (and others) do real football fans a disservice.
We are as a fanbase embarrassed that our old owner didn't pay the debts... However we aren't going to accept going out of business as either a price we have to pay to put the fear in other clubs' chairmen and we aren't going to start grovelling and feeling remorse for our old chairman who ran the club as he did when we are ultimately the club bottom of the league, never got promoted, with a team cobbled together with a real chance of going out of business.
Just makes me unbelievably angry.

So basically Ashley and Gibson are in contacting against MM trying to make sure he gets less and that’s the hold up on that bid

Parry and Gibson have previous from when Middlesbrough decided not to turn up at Blackburn in the premiership and we’re deducted 3 points and Parry was high up in the premier league - Gibson claiming Middlesbrough were being picked on etc etc - try telling me their previous exchanges haven’t impacted Derby county !

alexxxxx got a reaction from Ramarena in -15 points on exiting administration??
Yeah this has always been the case if the outcome to the creditors is less than efl rules.
Tbh I'm not really sure what it achieves apart from punishing supporters, making relegation likely again, distorting the competition and making a club less attractive to new owners...
The old owners will have ran off, the admins will have done what they can, so I'm not really sure what it achieves but I'm sure it makes some fans and chairmen of other clubs happy.

I've got a feeling that this won't be the winning bid or bidder.

alexxxxx got a reaction from RadioactiveWaste in Steve Gibson trying to liquidate Derby
This and Bristol/Wycombe. They seem to think we all still support Mel Morris (no one does) and that or anger is misplaced at the efl and boro etc.
Our anger at them is their obstruction and refusal to help us out - it is out of fear that we are about to lose our club. Im not sure they realise that we are on the brink here.
Also for those fans of other clubs that think we haven't been punished enough... If it hasn't dawned on you, our old owner has washed his dirty hands of us and if we survive it looks like more points deductions and we'll be in league 1... Great punishment for the fans of the club. Losing our club would be a massive loss and represents more than a fair punishment.

There's not really much to disagree about what they say is there?
This debt has come about by a multi millionaire, paying other millionaires salaries, and the people that will pick up the tab is the taxpayer.
We look at it through Derby tinted glasses but if it was another club I'd think exactly the same as this person.
Of course, i don't want to see us liquidated but if we do find any new owners, and they buy the club under the agreement of paying the creditors a single penny less than what they are due, our club will be tainted.

We talk about MM behaviour but here (long before MM) Gibson's nature was revealed.

Can't help but think the delaying tactics referenced are in fact, Derby defending their position, which they are entitled to do?

alexxxxx reacted to MackworthRamIsGod in If we go bust, I think we'll take the EFL with us
I hate to say it, but if/when we are liquidated the EFL will carry on regardless and will no doubt be seen as heroes in a year or twos time, having negotiated a bigger/better deal for its members, ensuring the unfortunate events seen at Derby County never happen again.
We are the sacrificial lamb in their fight against the prem.
Just look at the silence from the likes of Talk Sport and Sky Sports. Our club is days away from liquidation and all they care about is Rooney and Everton.

Also doesn’t Parry realise that some of the mess would be a lot clearer to understand if the EFL’s own communication was better? Rather than the constant leaks to the press and statements with little substance?
Nah email a few fans on a Saturday night and muddy the waters that bit more me thinks!

But surely to be considered football creditors you first have to meet the definition of creditor under Uk insolvency law. Literally any club could have submitted a claim for any amount.

alexxxxx got a reaction from Maharan in The Administration Thread
The admins clearly disagree with this view though. This can't be the first time a disputed claim has been made against a company in administration, in fact I imagine its pretty common.
What's the solution to this if the efl doesn't budge? We'd either have to settle with boro and Wycombe which a new owner would have to pay or any potential new owner is willing to exit admin without the efls blessing and challenge it.
