Not the number of months we've been under embargo over the past 4 years (which is almost 30 months), but the number of months since our U18s won the 18/19 League title, after beating an Arsenal side featuring Bakary Saka 5-2 in the Final. The young Rams also finished 8 points ahead of a Manchester United side which contained Mason Greenwood.

From that squad, 11 have played for our first team making a combined 419 appearances.
Those still with us and are in and around the first team:
McDonald - 8 first team apps.
JBrown - 4 first team apps.
Cashin - 3 first team apps.
Buchanan - Still only 20 but has already played 60 times.
Bird - With him making 97 appearances for the Rams, he'll be hoping to make his 100th app for the club in Feb
Thompson - Missed just 12 minutes of football since coming into the side against Bournemouth, the first of his 11 appearances.
Knight - An almost ever present in the first team since the start of the following season. He has already made 100 apps and scored 11 in the process.
Sibley - Still only 20 but has 7 goals and 4 assists in his 65 first team apps.
Festy - Already a fan favourite after 23 appearances.
Stretton - Limited to just 15 appearances given his injury troubles.
Some are still with us but are yet to play for the first team:
Dixon - Named on bench twice.
Wilson - Named on bench twice.
Matthews - yet to feature in a matchday squad.
Notable players who have since departed the club:
Whittaker - 32 appearances for Derby before moving on to Swansea where he scored 5 in 22 apps. He's currently on loan at Lincoln City where he has scored 1 in 3.
Delap - Left the club in summer 2019 for Man City, he has played for their first team on 3 occasions scoring once.
And the handful of others who have left:
Charles - Joined Mansfield and played twice, who loaned him out to York City where he made 4 apps
Archie Brown - Move to Switzerland in the summer just gone to play for Lausanne-Sport. Has made 2 apps, and a further 2 out on loan.

Find ways to fund the club until the end of the season and fight them in the courts.
If we have to pay the claims we are as good as dead anyway.
Better to go on or go down fighting.

-21 points, 5 transfer windows under embargo, £100k fine, administration, likely relegation. That’s all for Mel’s transgressions, and we’ve largely accepted that. The threat of liquidation due to spurious legal claims is totally separate to that. We can be rightly angered at Mel, and we are, for all the above, and STILL be angry with MFC, WW, and through complicity, the EFL, for the continued vendetta, and it IS a vendetta against the club.
Our punishment, is unprecedented, and they’re still NOT happy. If that’s not vindictive and spiteful I don’t know what is. Pushing a fellow club into oblivion because you have a gripe at someone who’s no longer anywhere near the club. This is why children shouldn’t be allowed to own clubs. In fact I’m being unfair there, not even most children would behave in the way that pube-head and the ambulance chaser are. When an independent regulator is finally installed, the first thing they should do is kick this pair out of the game entirely. Football would be far better off without either of them.

This and Bristol/Wycombe. They seem to think we all still support Mel Morris (no one does) and that or anger is misplaced at the efl and boro etc.
Our anger at them is their obstruction and refusal to help us out - it is out of fear that we are about to lose our club. Im not sure they realise that we are on the brink here.
Also for those fans of other clubs that think we haven't been punished enough... If it hasn't dawned on you, our old owner has washed his dirty hands of us and if we survive it looks like more points deductions and we'll be in league 1... Great punishment for the fans of the club. Losing our club would be a massive loss and represents more than a fair punishment.

They're a disgrace, I wouldn't ever wish liquidation on Boro under any circumstances, let them spew their bile. Judging our entire fan base by a minority of Twitter trolls. Were the vast majority of us winding up opposition fans on Twitter regarding flouting FFP? Get real...we're a family club for all generations for the most part, not internet keyboard warriors. Supposedly, according to some, total cessation of existence of a founder member of the Football League is appropriate punishment for *preventing a Middlesborough side getting a 6th place in the Championship with a side that had not a cat in hell's chance of winning those playoffs. *Contestable in itself. We're not bitter or suing QPR and Villa, both financially doped, who prevented us from promotion in a playoff final, let alone a 6th place finish. Life goes on...
I too only recall the fans forums where the fans were repeatedly petitioning Mel and Pearce for confirmation that the club was meeting FFP. We were given assurances not to worry our little heads and all was fine. We're not accountants - we're football fans and the majority took our CEO and Chairman for their word when they told us we were compliant. And supposedly we were all to know that the EFL would seemingly change their minds on an amortisation policy and then years after the fact (once events had caught up sufficiently to implicate themselves) would then decide the most satisfactory outcome, to deflect heat off their own incompetence, would be to set the dogs on Derby County. Most of my disdain is reserved for the EFL, and not Boro incidentally. Us turning on Boro or them on us was entirely preventable had the EFL done their jobs, starting about 4 years ago. They are ultimately responsible, Boro will plunge the knife but the EFL has set it up.

I feel this deserves its own thread, feel free to merge if not.
We’ve now heard from local MP’s in parliament, fans groups and ex players on social media, Boro and the EFL have released a statement and Wycombe have done an interview on Radio Derby.
The only people we haven’t heard from are the ones that matter the most in this, the Administrators. Their lack of comms from taking over is both unacceptable and incompetent, they have to be constantly poked and prodded to give us an update.
That is now Kirchner, the EFL, Boro and Wycombe all saying that the comms from the Administrators has been poor and resulted in delays and breakdowns in communications.
It’s great that we’re going after the EFL, Boro and Wycombe but we also need to hold the Admins accountable, i’m genuinely concerned about their competency to deal with the situation as much as I am angry with the EFL, Boro and Wycombe
let’s not forget they’re making millions out of this, they’re not here out of love and passion

Surely Wycombe’s claim all comes down to this:
Did we break any rules when delaying the submission of our accounts?
If we did, I have sympathy for them. If we didn’t, I can’t see how they can claim anything, and their ire should be directed at the EFL.

The interviews on radio Derby absolutely stunk to high heaven. The Wycombe chairman clearly hasn't got a clue but wasn't challenged, you've got Rick Parry being leveraged into this position by Middlesbrough by his own admission and you've got our administrators going into full on radio silence. It's just so utterly depressing and yet enraging at the same time.

Heard this sort of conversation around quite a lot recently. It’s sad people aren’t willing to take more responsibility with their health in all situations, but one of the core values and principles behind the NHS- and the way I believe medicine should be practised- is without prejudice or judgement. Whether that’s spending thousands on the treatment of a (likely) cigarette induced lung cancer patient, transplanting a liver into an alcoholic, doing your utmost to save a limb for a patient with diabetes or indeed treating an anti-vaxxed Covid patient on ICU. Healthcare is a right and should never be conditional. My penny’s worth anyway

Don’t get me wrong, people have been slacking in terms of face masks. Some people can’t even wear them properly, while some people flip them on and off when it suits.
But in crowded areas, science suggests they do work. They will never be 100% effective for the reasons you mention.
We still mandate masks in supermarkets and indoor places. Cases are really low here that it’s barely spoken about. I believe that is largely due to Mexico being such an outdoor country it’s more difficult to pass on the virus outdoors, whereas indoors we still take precautionary measures such as distancing, masks, hand sanitizers etc.
You have a point about the silliness of pubs and closed restaurants regarding mask removal. But it’s possible in those situations it’s where it’s more easily spread as the precautions go out the window.
If masks were never introduced, it’s almost certain cases would be so much higher especially during indoor socializing and at the supermarkets etc.
And just to add, I hate mask wearing. Wish I didn’t have to. But until this virus becomes as weak as an ordinary cold/flu, I’ll continue to follow science.

Oh, I see yes I think a lot of people have diabetes , if that's what you mean by expensive because of the numbers affected. A lot of people have asthma, hayfever etc. as well, that must be quite expensive too.
But yes I agree that the NHS should treat everyone, smokers , obsese people , drinkers, drug addicts  etc....  and the unvaccinated. The moral issue though is surely people can avoid a lot of hospitalisations by getting the jab. Its an easy fix, and I dont actually think there are  many religions that say "Thou shalt not have the COVID jab"
