This isn’t about neutrality though. The EFL have a disciplinary process. That process has been followed and the relevant punishments handed out. But we’ve now got the case where 2 unrelated clubs have decided that they don’t like the results of that process and are taking matters into their own hands. It’s surely one of the most basic functions of the EFL to tell them that the disciplinary process is final, otherwise what’s the point of any of it?

So if Dick Parry says that they are simply upholding the EFL rules, where does it say that one club can sue another because they MIGHT have gained promotion if the other said club hadn’t broken the rules and the governing body didn’t react in time?
Its just madness it really is.

Being at the game yesterday It was only about 7pm when I got back and listened to the Radio Derby Spotscene Podcast.  Ed Dawes's heartfelt , almost passionate call for fan action comment, about a need for more consolidated action was something that really hit home and my did he mean it. Its been a long time, maybe 30years since Graham Richards's  "this team is going nowhere" report that a BBC commentators comment had hit me so deep. Despite some of the negatives ED gets occasionally, Ive already emailed My MP (Andrew Bridgen NW Leics) and he's begun tweeting in DCFC support, this needs Parliament to break up this EFL witch hunt and corruption.  well said ED, everybody, do something... but can we please have a post match consolidation report like Graham used to do.

Put our claim in now, we want £200mil from QPR. While we are at it, how about £50mil from every other club that has breached ffp and cost us the couple of points which would have given us automatic promotion. Start the free for all.

The only way to cut through this is to higher the stakes by going after QPR.

Sat here in bits again. My dad is really really ill and his bad days seem to coincide with bad news Derby days. He is Derby through and through and I'm not sure he understands or is aware of the off the field stuff now but I know later watching those goals on Quest with him how he will light up as little else makes him do now. That is why we have to save our club. It is not about amortisation, stadium sales, law suits, points deductions, etc. it is about watching those goals with my dementia-ridden dad and seeing his happiness for a few minutes later knowing we're off the bottom. The wonder of dementia is he will have forgotten tomorrow so we can do it all again several times. So duck the EFL, Morris, Gibson and the nobody chancer from Wycombe. We are better people than all of you and how dare you threaten the existence of our Derby family.

Needed a calm down before posting. What a huge win and a real joy to read the posts tonight.

Few things - first half showed Festy’s improvement as a full back, key challenges and intercepts. The goals were outstanding. The confidence after the first goal was a sign of how much we’ve progressed. Steadman has been great for us every time he has come on - his knack of right time, right place is the real mark of experience. Caishin now very much part of this squad, and strengthens us. Jozwiak’s newly found aggression also worthy of praise.
This is going to be a tough week I suspect, I still can’t believe a well funded take-over from any 1 of 3 bidders is being held up by two nonsense claims. The fact that we need to make or save 5 million usd within 17 days seems to make more departures inevitable. The EFL have forced Quantuma to take desperate measures.

Yet this team is great to watch - and Rosenoir and Rooney’s reactions today were further proof of how much they care. Roll on Forest.

If Boro and Wycombe are now ‘football creditors’ which is abhorrent then we are finished as a club. Leeds should also be able to claim some money too.

The thing about the Boro claim is that it is just a made up figure of 45m. Based on a “what if” scenario and Paddy Power odds. What if they had said 100m would the EFL taken the same view? How about 500m. After all “what if” they had won the play offs, stayed up, established themselves in the Premier, got in the Champions League, signed Messi etc. All possible if only cheating Derby hadn’t denied the 6th place one year. This is how nuts it is. Just a figure plucked out of the air and we are being forced to give it credence even though as the Admins say it is against Statute!! Surely someone has to challenge this.

That's a bit of a problem then, because if the claims cannot be processed while the administrators are in place on the one hand, and the club cannot be taken over, in effect removing the administrators, until the claims HAVE been processed on the other hand, you have what we old-school database administrators term a 'fatal embrace'.
If those two conditions apply, then the club can do nothing except to die.

“27th Chairman of Middlesbrough F.C. Stephen Gibson OBE (born 9 January 1958) is a British entrepreneur and the chairman and owner of Middlesbrough Football Club. In May 2020, he was listed 481st on the Sunday Times Rich List, with a net worth of £270 million.”

Mr Gibson, you, directly as a consequence of your actions will be responsible for loss of life, not only the loss of livelihood (although that is bad enough) but the loss of LIFE!! Not one DCFC supporter deserves this and neither do the families (wives, husbands, kids...) who will be left behind - is this what you intended when you started your utterly ridiculous campaign for vengeance (for what I still cannot fathom out?) - because it’s what you’ll have on your conscience (if you have one) for the rest of your very comfortable existence.

This is not an over dramatic, knee jerk reaction from a star-struck fan (I’m a mid 50’s, highly qualified professional) and neither is it a plea to allow DCFC to weasel out of the mess that its previous controllers (Morris and Pearce) have driven it to, but rather it’s reality - it’s what will happen, once, twice, 10 times or more, I don’t know but it WILL happen.

If you feel you have a genuine claim (very doubtful in my view) pursue it against the aforementioned through the courts but don’t hold the innocent, powerless and some vulnerable to mental health ransom.
Like all reasonable football fans I beseech you to do the right thing.
