Bramhall Lane 1986 Fa Cup , myself and 10000 other Rams fans cheering the lads on to a 1-0 win courtesy of a Rob Hindmarch winner, magnificent atmosphere

Anyway,
The atmosphere at Pride Park with 30k in will never be as good as the Baseball ground with 15k, no matter how much co-ordination is done through social media and all the waving of flanges and scraves, surfing the big flags before the game, our own song and poem, it will never beat the Popside/Columbo raw chanting from 30 years+ ago (before all seater stadium...)

Transfer window isn't open to be able to announce signings of contracted players, so you will have a bit of a wait

Yet by the very nature of using the Angry emoji reaction is in itself challenging....

Back in the 80's was brilliant away from home, with a special mention for the League Cup 1 all draw away at Leicester in 85 after we best them 2 nil at home in the 1st leg to knock them out. They were top flight, us 3rd division, it was also the night of the riots in Leicester City center as the police were all at Filbert Street.....
Felt like we kept it up for a whole half of the game, every time it wavered and the Leicester (baby squad were they called?) in the terrace next to us started to sing we built the noise back up to drown them out.
One of the best nights I can remember from my 1st full season going.

Rich84 reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Max Bird - stay or go?
No doubt there’ll be people who think that, and it’ll fit a certain narrative, may even be true….only Bird will know for sure what his reasons are.
However given how keen you are for open dialogue around opposing views I would say Warne had moved to make Bird central to everything we did this season, played him in a more advanced role and looked at times for us to play through him, spent time coaching him around his finishing which looks to have been successful, and if you watch the footage of all our goals back this season there was plenty of football played in the build up to a number of them. So what that “different style” of football is, I’m not sure, possession based? Is that how Bristol City play? Can you guarantee a style of football at a club where the manager could change on the back of a poor run of results?

Rich84 reacted to I have nothing to say in Best Chant of All Time
I found the "we'll fight to the end" chant rather emotional over the last few years. A little disappointed that it seems to have a dropped out of circulation.

The old promotion was good enough for 100 years, the play offs are an interference to a fair promotion purely for extending the interest of more clubs for a longer period of time and to feed the media frenzy.
We have 46 games to decide who should go up, it's totally illogical for a team who have out performed another team by many points over those 46 games, to be robbed of a deserved reward by one moment of bad luck, bad play or bad refereeing.
Just because we know the rules at the start of the season, it doesn't mean that those rules are just and fair.

Need to remember you have 9 subs, not 7 in the Championship, so there should still be room in a 20 man matchday squad for the younger players, whilst keeping the good characters that will be able to so a job when required.
Also, can everyone mentioning Hourihane just stop, he said ages ago he was hanging his boots up for a coaching role at Villa, and even if he wasn't, he's become very much a bit part player in the last 10 games!

Just said goodnight to my 16 Yr old not interested in football son, said I'd see him Sunday (after celebrating in Derby for a while - police restrictions permitting)...... there's ready meals in the fridge so nothing to worry about!

Is he any less fit than Curtis was in that crucial last game against Sheff Wednesday?
Personally I doubt he'll be on the bench, be surprised if TJJ was either despitecomments on the training pitch we have a strong bench as it is, if we start the same as last week then Barks, Bird, Hourihane, Waghorn, CBT & Washington there's no room for either a semi fit Gayle or TJJ, although if fit I'd have both to replace Wash and Wag
