He’s also trying to get this done in three days, not three months. That is a huge challenge.

OK having attended many closings on deals like this, this is what happens,
    1. The closing will take place at a lawyers office
    2. All the documents to be signed are laid out on a big table typically 20ft x 8ft
    3. Most documents run to many pages in many cases up to 50-60 pages each document, each page has to be read and signed and then countersigned by a witness , typically the lawyer handling the transaction.
    4. All of this takes many hours, I have completed S+P agreements at 4.00am having started before lunch the previous day.
    5. Only when all is signed does the money get transferred, as there is a charge holder , MSD then they will have their legal team there too.
I do not expect the deal to be completed today.

It’s not going to fall through. It just might not go as fast as some would like.

Nah, this is just the noise of the death-rattle of other bids. I would not be surprised if the Stretford story was 'revealed' to John Percy by another bidder's camp.
And Couhig is using the last moment of perceived leverage (ie getting the sale completed before contracts run out) to seemingly twist the knife.

I've heard (same source who suggested the pink kit tip a couple of years ago) that Derby's new change kit is in a colour called 'potion'
A Google search for "Umbro Potion" comes up with a few images, including the attached 'Purple Potion' shirt from Brentford's training range last year.
He's the one who said the home shirt looked like 'a paint brush had been cleaned on it' - would that tie in with that sleeve detail?

I don’t get this hang up on wealth. We’ve had a rich owner; let’s just wish for a good one.
in any case, Delia Smith and Michael Wynn-Jones have a wealth less than a sixth of the Clowes family and they have run Norwich pretty well for the last 25 years.
