It says that Boro's claim was commenced over 12 months ago on arbitration proceedings.
It does not say it has been on-going since then. I think that their claim against us in admin is just a continuation of the claim thrown out by the LAP.
Being pedantic, it actually says that Boro commenced claims (plural) 12 months ago, which of course covers their highly spurious one against the stadium sale, which was thrown out or withdrawn (can’t remember which)

That statement is brimming with bravado but is underpinned by a retreat of position that an Italian army division would be proud of.

Isn't it great how the conversation has changed over the last 72 hours? Thanks to the valiant call-to-arms of some heroic Rams fans the noise generated has been spectacular.
MPs, media doyennes, City of Derby leaders and 40,000 fans have put their shoulders to the wheel and turned the discussion on its head.
Now it's not (all) about how naughty Derby County are; it's about shining a spotlight on what is fair and appropriate.
Well done to all involved.

I’d take another season under any circumstance atm. They could remove my seat and replace it with a fierce bramble bush as well, I would still turn up.
Oooh, then your Aralliss really will be a bit Ruud.

Do you know if we’ve ever tried to assess values of players mid contract? A method that could somehow assign a true value. I’m surprised no-one has thought of it!
My alarm clock has just clicked to 6am and I'm hearing Sonny and Cher singing 'I Got You Babe' in my ears...

This is a circus if true - how can you only just find something - what are you actually being paid to do?
To be fair, I doubt the Administrators have only just found this. Didn't they go into last week's meeting with the EFL on exactly this presumption?
More likely they have just opened the EFL's eyes to the current statute!

heard hes going to leeds.... 8 million up front. should tie us through with no more sales
Really?? The rumours up here in Yorkshire are that they have offered circa £2m for Knight and another player (possibly Sibley?)

Anyone thought that this £30k might just be the balance payment after the outstanding liabilities to Wigan have been settled?
I doubt DCFC owed Wigan too much for the two players we took off them the other year, but it might actually mean the fee was in the £100k-£200k bracket?

Mel brought them in earlier to instigate a business review. Most likely their appointment as Administrator was led by MSD

On next manager odds they are frequently totally wrong.
Well some folk are lumping money on if the odds are shortening like that.

Odds on Rooney being next Everton manager have slashed tonight. He’s gone from 5-1 to odds on with all of the major bookies.
They aren’t often wrong. ?

Other than a monetary fine there's nowt else that could be done, I'd love it for him to lambast those at the EFL, I just don't see it happening, Maybe Kim Jong Un could aim a rocket at a place in Bolton
Bit harsh on Bolton. EFL based in Preston.

There’s a suggestion Ipswich have come in for him.

Wouldn't be surprised to see one of Byrne/Fozzy/Lawrence go next and fingers crossed we can get a combined couple of million there before having to sell youngsters as a last resort come the end of the month... it's all very sad ?
I doubt those three would raise more than £1m sadly. In fact, it might not be £1m INCLUDING Shinnie!
But totally agree with the sentiment - old guard on bigger wages to go first. Of course, they won't be the ones that clubs want to buy!

Why can’t the Efl just leave them alone and let them get on with the job they are being paid to do?
Who is suggesting that they aren't? My interpretation of the 'show us the money' news that John Percy broke last night was merely about a request to extend contracts or sign new players, which they are wholly entitled (and correct) to do so as - at the time the request has been made - the Club remains an insolvent entity.

Apart from they have given us the requirements under which we need to work with. Wage Cap etc. So their just interfering for the sake of it, without being privvy to the discussions actually happening.
Those 'requirements' were merely part of the P&S breach judgement; nothing to do with being in Administration, which requires further governance.
The Club (through the decisions of its old owner) has dug itself into a deep financial hole and the EFL are merely holding on to the shovel until they know we are digging our way out, not digging deeper.

I find that perfectly reasonable to be honest. Before the EFL allow us to establish new contracts - in accordance with the restrictions we are already operating under regarding fees, wage limits, etc. - I too, for the integrity of the competition, would want to be assured that the Rams are adequately funded to the end of May. There is also the little matter that between now and May that we might need to pay some instalments on Joswiak and Bielik. The EFL didn’t put us in to Administration with debts of c60m (or was it £80m? - lost track ?) it was our owners. I am pretty confident the Administrators will be able to do that, so it is a complete non-story.
The EFL are a bunch of spineless duckers for how they are dealing with the Boro and Wycombe claims, but are a little hamstrung by their members collective agreement on the arbitration process under their rules.
Spot on. Great post.
Lots of ninny hysteria about the EFL over the last 12 hours, but - in this case - they are just doing their jobs correctly.

Ashley's got the nod!
He's just chucked-in the tenner he's saving by not having to buy a new black-and-white tie and that's swung it his way.
If only Andy Appleby hadn't sent his old Rams tie to the charity shop the club could have been his. Bet he's kicking himself for picking up that Oxfam recycling bag...

The fact that they can’t categorically say that their regulations comply with current legal statutes says it all.
There is a clear difference of opinion between competing parties as to the correct application of our Articles and Insolvency Policy and that needs resolving.
