Imagine if games were called off due to circumstances out of our control (internationals, Covid, weather, etc),  and we ended up playing 3 EFL Trophy games before completing the 3rd League game. It would be absolutely ridiculous for a '3 game ban' to actually ban someone for 6 games.

I'm not saying the opposite. I'm telling you the factual maximum number of minutes you have seen Stretton in the first team.
Is the Beglian 2nd division better than L2? I've never watched football in that league so can only guess at "no".
He isn't too small for a Warne side, as pointed out by others. You're quick to move the goal posts to "Dobbin is faster" and "Ogbene is more experienced".
As I previously stated in a different thread about other academy players, your judgement on youngsters is abysmal and cannot be taken seriously.

I have concerns about some Extinction Rebellion protests too.  Are they really raising awareness or are they giving some people a reason to tarnish the whole green movement with the label 'troublemakers' and an excuse for them to ignore green issues altogether.  Looking at this forum I fear it might be more like the latter. I'm all for protests, just maybe if there were targeted at the actual decision makers then they would be more effective.
You are completely right about the fact that farmed plants take habitat away from wildlife as well as farmed animals.  Palm oil is a particularly egregious offender in that regard.  Some plants grown exclusively for biodiesel (and not by-products) or trees grown in monocultures for wood chippings are also causing habitat destruction.  But still vegetables produce far more calories per hectare than beef does on average.  Apparently a hectare of potatoes produces 18 times the amount of calories that a hectare of beef cattle does.  Soya is one of the worst plants in this regard though, only producing twice the amount of calories that beef cattle do per unit area.
Good options for wildlife would be reducing the amount of beef eaten, even if that only means switching to poultry or pork.  And of course, crucially, reducing the amount of food we waste, which is around 40% (in the US at least).  Those measures alone could have a huge impact on the pressures we are putting on the last few remaining wilderness in the world....as well as meaning we could farm a little less intensively, allowing wildlife to survive more easily in agricultural areas.

    My issue is though
Plant based diet and less meat. The problem is bigger than that. Those soya crops will still be there, just filling human stomachs not animal ones particularly South America where deforestation to grow soya is a growth industry as is palm oil or any of the following as it's better known-
Vegetable Oil, Vegetable Fat, Palm Kernel, Palm Kernel Oil, Palm Fruit Oil, Palmate, Palmitate, Palmolein, Glyceryl, Stearate, Stearic Acid, Elaeis Guineensis, Palmitic Acid, Palm Stearine, Palmitoyl Oxostearamide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Kernelate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Lauryl Lactylate/Sulphate, Hyrated Palm Glycerides, Etyl Palmitate, Octyl Palmitate, Palmityl Alcohol.  It's basically in everything.
At what point do you look at such random actions as individual acts of wanton vandalism.  If you want to protest about something have the balls to go to the source of the issue you don't like rather than have some poor fecker moping up gallons of milk you've spilt everywhere in a shop.  What happens if some group decides that someone whose 80 and living in a 3 bedroom house shouldn't have it anymore as they're taking up too much room on their own.  Will they have s*** pushed through the letterbox on a weekly basis.  Now that the 20p tax is staying people should head of to HMRC and throw piss at people leaving work.
I'm not concerned about protesting but it has to be in the correct context and have rationale attached to any action.  It's been referred to earlier that bringing someone round to your way of thinking isn't the issue.  In that case anything's a pointless endeavour and indicates your not putting forth an argument for your action as you don't have one, your just like creating chaos like some faux Clockwork Orange simpleton without plan or design under the pretext of having an agenda.

The mistake you keep making is you're viewing from today's perspective. Bombs, arson, vandalism it's all ok if we get to the right outcome...
Acting like a thug is fine so long as you're doing it on behalf of whatever crusade Stive is on. And if you disagree it's because you're a racist, homophobic, sexist fat football fan who doesn't support anything that might upset your privileged position.
There's no way you can actually care about the planet and disapprove of vandalism, you fat football man.
Like when they toppled down that statue in Bristol. They did it looking at it from today's perspec-
Wait, bad example. But if you disapproved then you clearly didn't want equality.
We could take this to the Ukraine War thread. Because all these bombed Ukrainian villages will be prosperous Russian cities one day. So just like the Suffragettes sending letter bombs and XR being vandals it's all for a better world and you just don't want that.
You're no better than Millicent Fawcett who condemned violence in the name of women's rights. Bet she was a fat football fan too which from now on is the exact opposite of a blue haired unwashed student activist. (I have no idea why he was so triggered by whoever made that comment or why he then joins in by playing his own hand at stereotypes)

If you didn't go to watch the cup games live, then you've only seen him for a maximum of 308 minutes. No where near enough time to judge a player. 480 minutes under the old management group and scored 1 and assisted 1. Collins, under the old management group, took 650 minutes before he made his first goal contribution, and was already written off by many before that goal.
Stretton'ss a player who will look to break the offside trap, press the defence, and a natural poacher who has that habit of being exactly where he needs to be to score. He's the ideal forward for how Warne is setting us up.
As I have said, there are a large number of people who have watched him significantly more than you, and all will have come to a different conclusion to you. It's exceptionally rare for one person to be right in a room full of people saying something completely different.
Plange is a different type of player. The type to link play and support the main CF.

Nice one GoC. You do the charts, i'll do the other stuff.
1955/56 finished 2nd (regionalised - only Champions promoted - we got the adjusted equivalent of 91 points and we scored 110 goals). There wasn't a Division 4 until 1959, just Div 3 North & Div 3 South
    1956/57 finished 1st
    1984/85 finished 7th
    1985/86 finished 3rd
So we need to make top 6 this season to avoid our lowest ever finish in our history

Glad to know you've made a judgement on him based on a maximum of 480 minutes of football, in which he scored once and assisted once. 172 minutes were in cup competitions, so unless you were at the games you wouldn't have seen him
There are a lot of people here who will have watched him play 10 times as much football as that.
Then there's his record out on loan:
3 goals in 173 minutes for Stockport, until we recalled him and he picked up an injury in the first game back.
2 goals and 1 assist in 449 league minutes for Carlisle (634 mins in all comps)

    20/21
In the U23s until November and earned a spot in the first team following 8 goals in 8 games, but was still behind Kazim and Waghorn as in the pecking order. Picked up and injury and was out for 3 months, before going out on loan. Recalled due to an injury crisis and lasted 19 minutes before coming off with an injury. Missed the rest of the season.
    21/22
Started the season in the first team squad, scoring in his first appearance. Played in 7 of the next 9 games, mostly as a sub. Dropped back down to the U23 when Baldock and Kazim were both fit. Scored 6 in his first 5 U23 games before picking up an injury which kept him out for three months. In his absence, Plange was given a shot in the first team due to all other senior forwards being out injured too. Due to his performances, Plange kept his place in the squad when others were fit.
    22/23
    Out on loan at Carlisle

Presumably our best U18 side, so similar to the Newcastle game? Any idea when we'll see Moloney, Sebagabo and Brown back in action?

    Roberts
    Sebagabo   Brailsford   Rutt   KRobinson
    Robinson   Fapetu
    Ebiowei   Ibrahim   Kelly
    Brown
Kellyman and ZDixon came on as subs.

As I said he is not good enough for our team but in EFL2 he might ! His first goal was off his backside the second much better. He still seems to play 'with a bag of cement' on his shoulders.
