What are the chances of them being in sync?

When I watch, There's normally at least 7 "FFS" posts on here before I see us concede!  🤣

Cheers but don’t think is ever in time, a delay on the streaming of about 30 seconds! Will grin and bare it

Can't you pause the Sky stream until it does line up?

I am not convinced that’s the issue. Warne puts paying respect to the opposition above developing his younger players.

Unless they're on loan. Then they get plenty of chances to play through their mistakes and adjust to competitive football.

Opportunities for our own youngsters are extremely limited unless we're playing Wolves U21s.

Disappointed, but not shocked, that Brown isn't starting. If I was him, I'd be begging for a loan move away.

I hope he's banging on Warne's door in the morning to demand a loan out. How can it be that L1 sides are trying to sign him, yet we won't even start him against L2 opposition?

1 start this season and 1 assist. What have our other CFs done so far?

GOC, what are the expenses that make up the other £15.5m?

£3.5 swallowed up with tax and NI. £1m stadoum rent. Then you have a shed load for rates, utilities, insurance, paramedics, policing, stewards, security, ground and training ground maintenance, cleaning, etc..

Potts signing for Portsmouth. Good signing for them. He was excellent for Wycombe last season. Very difficult to make the case that we aren’t the worst team in the league at the minute.

Portsmouth, Plymouth, Oxford, Millwall, Cardiff, Sheff Wed and us.

Potts was my CM loan pick at the start of the window. He's defensively dominant and one of the best CMs in the air last season. His all round play is fairly average though, even by L1 standard.

I think Ozoh will be the better player though so I'm happy with what we've got. But, I don't think Potts would switch off in our own box like Ozoh has - one of the main areas for him to improve.

Brighton were 3-2 up, then had a man sent off at 3-3. We went 5-3 up, but Brighton pulled it back to 5-5. Osayande got sent off in the 80th, before Mintus scored the winner in the 86th.

What a family of ballers, I knew Khace, Kaide and Kellan were brothers but didn’t know about Isaac.

Did they run out of K names? Could have gone with Kisaac.

I'm pretty sure Isaac isn't related to the other Gordons

At this point if we can't get better I'd seriously consider Dwight Gayle if he's still on a free.   At least he'd buy us a year to see how Brown does on loan or else find a young prospect

He'd be fine for 10 games a season. Not really what we're looking for. We need a m,ore physcial presence who is a contender to start most weeks - battling with Yates to be 1st choice (Collins and Brown being subs)

To not be in a relegation scrap, the club need to fund that level of expectation. Clearly that's not the case, not to say that we are competitively budgeted against other teams expected to be in a relegation battle, but we are certainly within the bottom 6 clubs.

I thought we would be equipped to be clear of a relegation battle after we were promoted, my anticipation was that we would have a significantly bigger budget than we actually have. I thought with likely £30+ million revenues and Clowes' willingness to write-off up to £10m a year that we would be ok. The £10m a year write off was evidently based on being in League One, suspect that he's trying to reduce that this season as much as possible. I absolutely can't fault him, obviously there is a call to do things more sustainably, but feel in that case we could've benefitted from a much different approach in League One.

If we are relegated, perhaps we will see a different approach in League One. How much was out of design vs how much was due to EFL restrictions is anyone's guess.

I estimated a revenue of £33m this season, with a £25m wage bill and resulting in £7.5m losses. That's also assuming sponsorship income increases from the £1.4m in 22/23 to £4m this season.

Screwed if we don’t bring in another striker

Spoke to one of the senior players over the weekend who believes the squad is good enough to avoid the drop. [I interpretted it as the squad/club see us in a bottom 6 battle, rather than the lower midtable season as I had expected]. What I didn't ask was whether that view was with the planned sigings in mind or not

Im assuming the #DCFC is for Ben Nelson a 6 foot 2, 20 year old centre back.

A few games for their first team last season, with 411 mins across all competitions. 25 L2 games in 22/23, plus a couple in cup competitions.

Based on those L2 games, he's solid defensively, but weak in the air (although he was the youngest CB in the league with more than 400 minutes at the time). His passing and dribbling out from the back is very good. Decent crosser for a CB too.

He's about 6'4", so he should have room to improve on his main weakness from the L2 season. Right footed so would compete for RCB with Nelson (back 4) or Nelson/Nyambe (back 3). Given his experience to date, I don't think it's expected for him to start every week, although Leicester would obviously prefer it if he did.

shirt numbers of 7 and 10 suggest he can play wide too. Useful.

I do wonder if Blackett-Taylor's fitness prompted us to gonfor an AM who can also playbout wide.

My comments from when MackworthRam first linked us:

5 goals (2 pens) in 7 U21 apps last season with a taste of first team football too. It's hard to judge him at this point due to so few minutes in the first team.

Mainly an AM, but his ability to play on the wing means he'll get plenty of game time for us. Seems to be a reasonable dribbler, likes to shoot and will win tackles high up the pitch. He'll take a shot from the edge of the box with either foot.

I'm not sure what you're getting at? We signed a lot of old players coming out of admin, understandably given our situation and those who are available on a free. Since then though, our recruitment has still skewed old. Going to struggle to build for sustained "success" or trying to get a profit which enables to properly compete these days doing that.

There were 4 players under 28 starting on Saturday, 1 of those being a goalkeeper and another being a loanee. Add a further 1 of 5 substitutes who came on. We are an old team.

In our first season in L1, we used 10 players over 26 in the league - 2 of those being Chester and Stearman who barely featured under Warbe due to injuries.

Last season, that figure increased to 16, with 10 being 30+

We've already used 13 players this season, without using Washington or signing 3 more players in this window, or doing our January business. 8 are 30+ (9 inc. Washington)

For our first season, it made sense. We had little time to nail down free agents (typically 28+), and couldn't pay fees for prime age players. We had a lot of young talent then. Including loans, we used 11 players aged 21 or younger. We used just 5 last season, amd down to only 2 this season IF we eventually Brown.

We just needed to use the next 2 seasons to fill out the 21-28 age range.
