Mission to Burnley on Sky. Documentary following Burnley from relegation from Premier League, appointing Kompany and subsequent promotion season. I know its been done to death but worth a watch.
This was marketed by Sky as the resurrection of Burnley, which put me off. It was just promotion after relegation.

Oh to be part of such moments in history
'Play it f****** loud'
Anyone unfamiliar with Robbie Robertson's work, try the Band's second album. It's perfect.
Thanks, Robbie

Yes, “The Jim Smith Room”. Hardly the sort of thing dear old Jim would have enjoyed over a pint or two ?
As earlier suggested, take your boring politics elsewhere , preferably a forum set up for it . 💤💤
If only there was a way for you to not read stuff you don't want to read

Scored against us for Morecambe last season.

What style of center midfielder is he? I know little about him to be honest. I feel we need a box to box midfielder with legs and pace.

Oppenheimer should get an Oscar for best picture, as well as best actor for Cillian Murphy, however, as the American audiences can't watch anything without explosions, fights or car chases, nor any film over 90 minutes long, then probably not, as this film was superb.
The dialogue, intrigue and politics was just amazing which I was enthralled with from the start to the end, without once wanting to get up to go to the lavatory.
There was an explosion.

Specifically 1996 then 😉
Was thinking what a defensive set-up we had that day but of course Dailly would have been in midfield at that point; presumably C Powell LWB and Laursen (possibly Rowett) RWB, with Dailly and D Powell behind “Ace” on his debut.
I think we followed it up with an away draw at Spurs in midweek, then lost an away game the following weekend (Villa?)
Let's not forget Leeds got 3 that day

Correct. Just the year required, not the season.

I'm not happy with Broad announcing his retirement mid test a vital test.
Turned yesterday into a media event for Sky Sports. Complete distraction.
Are you suggesting Broad just wants to be the centre of attention?

This one's getting away from us.

Sad that Broad has retired but he has been a brilliant servant to England
I find him a difficult person to like but there's no denying his skill and accomplishments.

Is the medical just being able to get up the stairs?
It would certainly be an achievement for me.
