  1. Had a bit of a bad run yesterday.

    The Last Sentinel

A film trying to be clever and failing. Fell asleep within 10 minutes, missed about 20 mins. Nothing seemed to have happened and nothing happened after that.

    Vic Moreland.

    Fall of a Kingdom

Historical drama about the Mongol invasion of Ukraine and the locals' brave resistance. Clunky parallels to the current situaion. Stars T-1000 out of Terminator 2 and the nazi woman from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, seemingly playing a middle aged woman who's had far too much plastic surgery. In the 13th century.

    Barry Powell

So this morning I've fallen back onto a favourite - The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which I kknow is Charlie George.

Yes it was the first game of the 93-94 season. It sold out before KO and I only got in because my uncle lent me his season ticket and went home. We were unstoppable. At half-time they played “There must be an angel” by Eurythmics very loud (or I was close to a speaker on the Popside) and the hairs stood up on the back of my neck. We dreamed of a win at the City Ground next up… and clung on for a fortunate 1-1 draw!

But… @admira said today’s game finished 5-3, so it was WBA at home! 😉

Ah. I thought the opposition's goals were included in the list.

In what sense would I not be serious? In numerous games you see/hear the crowd appealing for something they think is a pen when the players don’t react, when there’s appeals from the players and a guilty look from the opposing player it’s normally a fair indication that something may have happened.
I’m also aware the players will appeal to try and sway the ref, but some appeals are more vocal.

That player reaction is an indication of a penalty is an utterly laughable statement, so I thought you might be having a laugh

exactly. no one in their right mind would turn down that sort of money. not even millionaires.

he should of just said ‘ im here cos im a grabbing bstard!’

If I took that money (and I'm skint), my kids would never speak to me again. You can be in your right mind and not take the 30 pieces.
