I wonder if any seek validation by speculating about others talking about them.

I seldom watch football now except Derby, but remembered Amazon Prime have a few games and checked out Villa v Man City game.
Brilliant from Villa. Made City look toothless.
There was some stat flashed on to the screen in the 76th minute that Man City's last shot was in the 11th minute.

I don't remember Jonathan Clark at all, though there should have been enough quality in that team to get back up.

I don't normally watch the build up to games on Sky - why do they have everyone in the studio standing up?

Hilarious own goal in Bundesliga 2 between the top 2 teams. Hamburg keeper plays one of those short goalkicks to a defender just outside the 6 yard box, said defender gets closed down so plays it back to the keeper. The goalie takes a huge swing in an attempt to clear it but sadly for him, just as he's about to make contact with the ball it hits a divot, bobbles and he hammers it into the roof of the net.
Just as an aside, Jackson Irvine (ex Burton etc) plays for the leaders St.Pauli and scored the opening goal.
Orange ball too.

Wheels are off completely now. He's just told advertisers threatening to pull their business over his outbursts to, 'go f*** yourselves', which I think pretty much tells its own story 😂
He doesn't care about the advertisers. He didn't buy Twitter for the revenue. He bought it for the influence.
It's like GB news. No chance of making a profit but every chance of setting the agenda.

Terrible but unsurprising news.
This has affected me in a very sudden and profound way.

Why is it his fault though. The ref on the pitch has the final say. He could’ve over ruled the VAR. he didn’t, so he should be canned.
The problem with the system is that once VAR has referred the ref to the monitor, they are saying, in effect, 'we think you have made a mistake - you should reassess it.' So the onfield ref feels under pressure to change the decision. There are several (I don't know the exact number) of people looking at the incident in the little booth - against 1 ref on the pitch. It's the tyranny of the majority.

Thanks for the great memories Tel.
I was only watching the run back from our thrashing of QPR from Admiras quiz the other day and wondered what he was up to.
Another footballer with max talent, i once watched a feature of him when he was playing doing 500 keepy uppy's without the ball hitting the ground.
Class player who was worth more than two caps as a player, but unfortunately the competition was too fierce at the time.
So thanks for the punditry,(always interesting) , the development of talent, superb crooning (google it) and most of all the thrill ride that was Euro 1996.
Oh and thanks for Hazell, the man was soooo Talented, he is probably coaching ST Peter to do his job better.
RIP Terry Venables.
I'm sorry but the singing was terrible.

Twee but charming war time thing. The woman out of the IT crowd is really good and Lily James is always worth a watch.

This reminds me of those cards you used to find in telephone kiosks claiming 'Genuine Photo' and offering things like 'French Polishers' or 'Large chest for sale' etc.

He presses very well, takes a great set piece and is by far our most creative player.
Bellingham can comfortably play box to box as his position, he did it for Dortmund in which he was also world class. Light years behind foden? That's just rubbish. He's far more productive. He's been arguably premier league player of the season for spurs.
I only asked. There's no need to be like that. How do you measure 'far more productive'?

Explain what? He's a very creative midfield player with a lot of end product who has had an amazing season at Spurs so far. Not sure what is not to see?
He seems like a lightweight. When things are going poorly, it's like he's notplaying.
We'd lose way more than we'd gain by moving the best midfielder in the world out of position to accommodate Maddison. He's light years behind Bellingham and Foden.

Shows how much poorer we are without Bellingham in the team.
Any team would be poorer without Bellingham

Can someone explain Maddison to me. I just don't see it.

Utterly exhausting. I actually nodded off during a short period when he wasn't killing anyone.
Didn't like it as much as the previous ones. Mick Harford/10
