He may well get an opportunity at some point but he won't be seeing first team football for a few months (especially with both challenging for the title) & thats likely to be limited to sub cameos. Thats unlikely to improve the streetsmarts of a lad who hasnt really played first team football with us yet.
He needs to be playing first team football most weeks to develop & he has a more realistic chance of doing that here asap. Would like to think his advisors are considering the long game...imminent first team exposure, working under Rooney/Rosenior, lesser media glare rather than chasing bigger money at Liverpool & Man Utd.
Unlike others, I'd be very surprised if the club wanted to cash in on him unless it was a very sizeable fee up front.
He really doesn't need to be playing first team football right now. He turned 16 only in October.
Not sure where people get the idea that he needs first team football. What's the rush?

Liverpool's last premier league match squad contained 6 players from their academy; Man utd's contained 5 from theirs.
The idea that Gordon is just going to disappear at Liverpool or Man Utd is ludicrous. If he's any good, he'll get the opportunity.

No doubting big Sam knows how to get a result. Not sure if want to watch it every week, however on the flip side is it any worse than watching a team languish in the depths of the championship year after year.
They got the same result at Man City a couple of weeks ago. Not sure how much credit Allardyce deserves for today's result.

Hard to argue.
I don't care about that. What bothers me is that he chews with his mouth open. Gross.

Players also have a responsibility not to injure an opponent and to adhere to the laws of the game. They have to go for 50-50 balls in a responsible way. Ie not in a way that can be seen as serious foul play.
Serious foul play is defined in the laws as:
'Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play'.

Who played the ball?
Only one player.
That really doesn't matter

Still don’t understand the rules.
Lundstram goes into a tackle wholeheartedly. Brighton player jumps in two footed, doesn’t get the ball and leaps into the air in agony.
VAR overturns a booking for Lundstram and he gets a red.
Not so much 'wholehearted' as a potential leg-breaker. Studs up, right on to his ankle.

Bogle is still alive.
On the bench today (along with Lowe).

Palace 0-3 Liverpool at half time
Not sure they’ve been three goals better on balance if play! The third goal contains an amazing first touch by Firmino!
Better touch than Rashford the other day?

The club could always try to persuade him to stay. He might have some deep-seated affection for the club, his teammates, fans etc.
