  1. Cultural context is important.

When I first went to Ireland, I was quite surprised to hear people telling 'Paddy' jokes. 'Paddy' in these jokes was an idiot, whereas a 'Paddy' joke in England is a lazy stereotype of Irish people in general. On the one hand, a moron does something stupid; on the other, Irish people are morons.

Well lets see, off the top of my head...

It was Gina Canaro last week for daring to have an opinion.  There was also an attempt to cancel Henry Cavil because he once dated Gina Canaro a decade ago.

This week is Pepe le Pew and Dr Seuss.

You can virtually put your mortgage on it being someone or something else next week.  Heck, its not even the weekend yet...

    Vintage stuff.

Gina Canaro had her contract cancelled because her public statements were an embarrassment for her employer. Nothing to do with her 'daring to have an opinion'.

Pepe Le Pew is a bad example to kids.

    Dr Seuss hasn't been 'cancelled'.

And it's allegedly the 'woke' that are offended.

    Is he still available ?
Bit of fun but I’d have him back in a heart beat

decent football, goals, decent signings, decent loans and vocal on touch line.Articulate to the press and fans.

Best live game ive seen in my 40 years following the Rams against Leeds Away and of course a visit to Wembley.

The signings, by and large, were dross.

That's it though, you go out for a few beers then go to the restaurant,  last thing you want is carrying a cool bag with you all night.

Just don't get it.  Don't know if it is a gimmick to attract people who want to save money or it's the restaurant not able or wanting to get a license.

To be honest, I had not even considered the possibility that you might be going after going to the pub. ?

In my youth, the main reason to go to an Indian restaurant after the pub was because they served beer after 11. That's not really relevant these days for many reasons but I've never even come across an Indian restaurant that doesn't serve beer. I wouldn't go to such a place.

Indian Restaurants that operate on a 'bring your own' basis.

I get how much cheaper buying beer is from supermarkets but if I'm going out I want to be served a nice draught beer,  not something that's half warm I picked up at the nearest premier shop to the restaurant.

Perhaps you need a bit of better planning. 'Bring your own' from home in a cool pack.

  6. Humiliating really.

The decision to give Bess the ball after tea yesterday when the pressure was on India was about as poor a decision I've seen by Root in all his tests as captain (and that's saying something). Completely backfired. The game was lost there and then.

that when people are losing loved ones to an awful disease,  two totally self involved people who were once part the royal family are trying to maintain some of public image by selling their sob story to the American media.

Come away. Don't take any notice.

Pant and Washington have put game out of sight for England .

Team selection was awful one again.

We went with extra Batsman and misread pitch again.

We selected a team for the previous test

I'm available. Confident I can nick one through the slips for at least a single which would be more than Bairstow scored in the match. His shot in the 2nd innings would have shamed a village green player.

I honestly have no idea what goes through the mind of a mediocre player under these circumstances. He has fielded close in for the Indian innings so he will have seen the turn and variable bounce; he comes in in the first over with nothing on the board and with his team trailing by 30 something in a low scoring match in the fifth session of the match.

And he thinks playing that shot is a good idea?

Next match, if they are using the same wicket, we should drop Archer, Broad and Anderson, put Bess and 2 more batsmen in, have a bowling attack of Leach, Bess, Root and Stokes (get him to bowl off spin that keeps on being mentioned).

This may seem a radical team selection but I think I agree. There was never any point in 3 quicks anyway and Archer is showing more and more that might just be a waste of space. Drop him, Broad and Anderson and Bairstow as well (tell him not to come back until he can play properly). If we want some better batting and a bit of medium pace, pick Woakes.

Not sure who's available for the next one. Anyone going home or coming back?
