What was that all about? Blokes walking round crowded pubs with trays of seafood snacks? I remember it being around late 1970's early 1980's?
I just thought it was a Derby think, what with our proximity to the sea! 👀

Just sat down to watch a new Netflix documentary about Medi Abalimba who was a con artist as well as being a former pro footballer. We signed him in 2008 for £500k from Southend I believe.
Anyone watched it?
Yes.
I was gonna point you to the previous thread and give you a right good lecturing for starting a new one... but it turns out it was only mentioned in the "Rate the films..." thread, so that would be unfair of me. 🤓👍Quite an eye opener, and somewhat embarrassing for a good number of folk, including Derby Taxi firm owners, ex-wives of world class pro footballers, and top-tier hotels, as well as the football world itself.
He may have been rubbish on the pitch, but he was good at what he was good at... until he got caught, obvs! 👀It's an interesting watch. Would recommend.

Heading tbe ball causes repeated countre coup injury as tbe brain, floating in cerebralsp8nal fluid bounces of the bony structures at tbe front of tbe inside of tbe skull. So, yes heads, elbows are bigger issues in comparison but tbe daily repeated damage of heading is significant.

Does it affect typing, does anyone know?

Only had the one go... at Skeggy about 30 years ago... but it was most enjoyable, (and I managed to beat Muckerette!) and in hindsight, I'm quite surprised I haven't had another go (thus far).
As @i-Ram says, I'd agree there's nothing not to like. Requires more skill than may be visually evident to some, (ditto golf!) and it appears to be mostly played in convivial surroundings (ditto golf).
It appears you now have the opportunity, with the added bonus of expert tuition! You'd be daft not to at least give it a try, imo.

3 reasons to compare a good wife to a little toe...
1/ They're cute
2/ They provide much needed balance
3/ You never truly appreciate them being around... until you bang them on the coffee table late at night.

I think it perfectly acceptable for taxi drivers to change lanes and/or pull in to the kerb without prior hint nor indication. It's also okay for them to completely block a narrow street (oft with parked cars either side) for 3 or 4 minutes, whilst they wait for their passenger to leave the house and lock up.
They have a hard enough job as it is!

FFP is done over 3 years right? We should spend as much as our overdrafts will allow in anticipation of being in the PL in 2 or 3 years and out of the EFL’s jurisdiction

Jack Taylor 1976 FA Cup Semi final v Manure when Dave Nish chipped the ball over the defence and ran on to score when the game was 1-0 but disallowed for a mystery player who was supposedly interfering with play.

Going against the thread title, but this was an excellent decision...

I fully expected Paul Jewell's career to take an almost identical trajectory to that of our good friend Kieran Lee, having seen him splayed across the Sunday front pages. He looked THAT good!

I don’t know if we’d be where they are, but they would be where we are. They were all or nothing at the end of their parachute payments and massively over spending. That’s why they had such a good squad. They would’ve been stripped for parts after that season and plummeted. They should build a statue of lampard.
Weren't our -21 pts for more than just overspending though?
I'd imagine Villa would have had enough about them to have overcome any points deduction handed out to them (Single figures? Low teens at worse?), and thus avoided admin/relegation to L1.
Technically I'd agree with you, that they'd be where we are (Championship), but I don't think they'd have experienced what we have over the past couple of years.
Anyway, on a more general note, any enemy of Brumshitty is ok by me, so I wish them all the best! 😁
