Well listening to his pre match interview on the radio derby podcast i think we upset him shrewsbury away! I say “we” the fans giving him stick! Not sure what to make of him sometimes and i dont want to repeat whats already been said a hundred times!

is it league 1 football and its just scrappy and any manager would be similar? Or is it his style, etc, etc!
Think malcolm christie had it spot on for me on the moan in monday night! He said along the lines of “at home we seem like were playing at the oppositions level, let them get a hold, where we should be taking it to them, the fans are waiting to explode and get behind the team but the way there playing makes it difficult at times!”
that somes it up for me! Start of the game fans are buzzing then its like watching a grand prix and they all crawl out at 30mph! Its like come on! Then the frustration builds etc!
I dont want to be one of them entitled fans, i hate leeds, united, liverpool fans etc for it! But its a tough one with us because were only down here because of the point deduction! So i do feel pee’d off were here and that we should be in the championship!

hey ho thats my pennies worth!

Purely my opinion of course but I don't think Brown is anywhere near ready for our first team.

It’s not that I am pro or anti. It’s that the anti mob are so irritating. The so called pro side tend to reflect on the good and the bad. The anti are just fixated, win or lose. Never give an inch, dull, obsessed, spoilt, churlish and without perspective. I suspect that Those of us, (me included ) that are vaguely supportive, only post in a vain attempt to balance the one eyed vitriol.

Dreading Saturday .. looking like 4 strikers all injured, but it will be completely Warne’s fault if we lose, or pure luck if we win. Like a horrible scratched record.

Yeah, I'm not saying he's definitely going to be awful or going to be great.  But he's been here a nearly month and has contributed absolutely nothing so far.  Surely the intention of signing one of the most productive wingers in the league this season, was that we could just drop him into the side and he would carry on being productive?  Not giving him a couple of months to get fit, and maybe we'll see something before the end of the season.  That's what's feeding into peoples disappointment with him.

This un-fortunately is exactly what I heard too from Charlton fans, needs to improve in a few areas but I'm more concerned with his actual effort, the minimum I expect from any player is 100 per cent effort and I don't think we are seeing that
I always think fans accept below par performances but not a lack of effort

I was moaning about him in the match thread...so I watched him a bit to see if it was justified.
So far he hasn't shown he has got a great first touch and he's kept making the wrong decisions,  but that can change with a bit of confidence.
What was worrying was his lack of intensity out of possession. Doesn't bust a gut to create space or get in behind, but even more noticeable was his defensive work. Seemed more 'for show' rather than any real effort to get the ball. All half-paced, shuffling across to cover, rather than sprinting to actually make a tackle. Didn't close down or get tight, didn't track back with any real desire. Hasn't done anything yet at a new club ...so I'd expect him to at least look a bit more keen to impress. Not a patch on NML so far.
Early days, injury concerns etc etc...hopefully will come good when it matters soon.

45% is a really good sign that the club is being well run. He has also mentioned that the EFL are looking towards having a clear % of turnover limit for all  clubs. That's the way football needs to be going forward, so no more unaffordable contracts and clubs relying on wealthy owners to make good silly losses. Player salary levels also need looking at to! In some cases they should be halved at least.
I've found his interview to be a very good listen actually. Well done to him.

Unless the club almost goes under again we'll never have that again. We need to accept that.
Sometimes to foster a siege mentality you need to actually be under siege.
We are now in a league in which we should be acting like the biggest club around, because we are the biggest club around. We need to foster a ruthless "we're here to batter whoever is in front of us" mentality instead.
We should fear nobody in this division.

Only watched on TV tonight, but a word for Elder who quietly went about his job and had a good game, I thought. Growing into the team. Some players just need a bit more time than others to settle in. A lesson not to write players off too soon?

This ref is gonna shaft us tonight. We will see a red, I just that feeling. The officiating in this tier of the footballing pyramid is atrocious and we tend to get the rough end of it to

Complete Warneball performance so far. Not a lot of football to enjoy but we are winning!
Extra man in midfield makes us look stronger defensively but even less likely to hold onto the ball as we are still going wide and long and giving up possession.

Exactly. Thats where we need a bit of quality and despite just about every player saying how talented the dressing room is we consistantly play in the last 10mins like we have no brain or talent by a big hoof up field straight to the opposition........Does my head in!

"A dream day out" should be a meet & greet with Rammie and his better half/sister/secretary/pretty young niece(🤷‍♂️), and maybe a tour of the facilities, before retiring for pre-match juice and microwave pizza in the community hub.
Gone should be the days of including them to dither about trying to retrieve a ball for a professional sporting club with ambitions of conquering the world (or evening Middle England, for that matter!)
There's plenty of other opportunities to entrap the poor little mites into the grasp of DCFC.

My big frustration in these tight last 10 minutes is a chronic inability to actually control the ball rather than it being like a hot potato.  It's fairly simple - if you control it at that stage, they'll probably be fouling to get it back.

I’ll be honest - my problem is not Warne and has never been Warne. My problem is performances and that more often than not we still feel along way away from what he thinks his football should look like at full flow yet he’s had 3 transfer windows and a very healthy budget to work with.

I’m pretty sure that our budget is higher than any of the Rotherham sides he took up.

If we were playing the football I think he envisages his teams playing then yeah it’d be a bit of a change from the possession based stuff we were a bit more used to but ultimately it’d still be entertaining to watch but in a different way.

The lack of excitement at the ground is primarily down to the standard of football being played. As a general point though im not sure our manager appreciates that for over 100 years the club has hardly spent any time down at this level and a large proportion of our match day fans can still remember top class football. Sorry for being a bit arrogant but perhaps Derby fans and certainly myself dont get excited by seeing us draw with the likes of Shrewsbury Town. I strive and expect the club to be challenging at least towards the top of the Championship and hopefully getting into the top tier. Sorry to sound "entitled" but imo we need an injection of arrogance on the pitch not lower league chat and bobble hats! Raise the standards for goodness sake!
    Yours Victor Meldrew

Love this post this is exactly how I see it …the amount of opposing fans that I’ve heard say we  are bang average is quite high …I just want to see us out football some sides and stop sinking to L1 levels just because a more direct approach maybe the way a lot of clubs get out of L1 it doesn’t mean we have to do the same …I find Warnes football quite archaic and hard to watch …someone posted a fantastic post last week summing it up …we hang on to 1-0 and play a real last stand type of football where players like at Charlton for example throw themselves in front of everything…its admiral it’s ok but I what to see us put a foot on the ball control the game and let the opposition chase shadows and we look to score again …
The football is not great and I find Warnes style old fashioned and not forward thinking …we may well go up if we are lucky but it won’t be top 2 but I think we’ll finish 3rd and I don’t back us to win the play offs  because we are no better than any of the other top 6 for me
I think we may well have regrets this season because I don’t think this division is very strong and this season was the season to take advantage of that but we do not stand out as any better than anyone else in the top 6
next season maybe more difficult in L1  and if it’s Warne leading the club into that challenge what makes anyone think we’ll be any better than the other contenders ?
