Rammeister reacted to Rample in Paul Warne
Maybe I'm soft but I just can't help liking the man. Whilst it might sound like nonsence and hyperbole in interviews he has been very honest.
He talks building a group of players, he talks about making small gains, and he has done those things.
The football hasn't always been great, but you can see why he's a league one promotion specialist. He's managed 92 points and automatic with a squad of freebies, gambles and inherited players.
What he's never had at Rotherham is any financial backing, you can guarantee they would lose their best couple of players after each season which is the main cause of their yoyoing. That won't be the case here (or if it is it won't be a case of losing them because they can't afford to improve their contract or £500k is too much to turn down).
I think afforded a bit of time, and next season will not be easy, he will continue building successfully to the extent I would expect us to be back around the play offs in maybe 3 years.
A spine is being formed, let's imagine an equivalent midfield pairing to Nelson and Cash, an attacking midfielder in front of them with more knowledge of the position, movement and goals, and a striker in the mould of Collins but with more technical attributes and pace.
Around that you have a number of gifted attacking players - NML free to be NML, hopefully a fit and firing CBT on the other side, varied attacking options and the football you play changes because of the increased options of passes and openings, and easy shifts from 352 to 442 to 433 because we have the required players.
In the meantime set piece goals and ugly wins will do, but I do believe there will be evolution as we progress. Really looking forward to summer and some good deals to be had.

Really decent bloke.
Knows what he’s doing.
Gets results.
Football isn’t easy on the eye.
To almost quote Meatloaf….3 out 4 ain’t bad.
Deserves a lot a credit as well for juggling all the injuries.

Today was bitter-sweet in many ways, as I kept thinking of Daniel's pure, unadulterated joy on being part of this promotion day.
Wonderful that the Club acknowledged his contribution, and B4 will always be part of our heritage now.

Rammeister got a reaction from Sweetness34 in David Clowes
I keep thinking we should be able to do something with ‘Send in the Clowes’, or ‘Tears of the Clowes’ or perhaps ‘Derby’s Clowes’ (to Cathy’s Clown).
If you’re young ask your parents.
Or grandparents.

Ugly, untidy, but better than nothing.
Coincidentally, my wife’s description of me.

It’s Daniel’s birthday tomorrow. I will be buying a cake later. Dan loved cake. Even though he isn’t here, there should always be cake on birthdays. I wanted to do something to mark Dan’s birthday and wondered if we could give the RSPCA a birthday boost? I wouldn’t expect people to give much as so much money was raised already. Just £1 from a handful of us would help towards costs. What do you think?

Rammeister reacted to Day in New Kit supplier
Great memories of the team playing in Puma kits.
However the quality of those shirts were awful, more pulls and ladders than a lady of the nights stockings.
I hated the black collar which turned grey after a couple of washes and said D rb ou ty on the back as the writing fell off.
I also hated the yellow accent colour, how it was installed as the seat colour on the top and bottom rows at Pride Park.
I also hated the scarf under the Ram and it being trapped in the diamond.
I hated the fuzzy feel that attracted all kinds of fluff on the badge and puma sponsor which made it look dirty.
Most of all I hated and still hate that maroon kit which so many appear to love, every time I see it makes me ill in the eyes.
Saying that, some of the modern funky training gear they’ve done for Arsenal in particular and Man City has been alright.
Great memories though like I say, although I’ll be sad to see Umbro go, they have created some of the best designed kits around for us.

Always prefer Umbro, as they made the kits we won the league in twice.

Of course he has.
Everyday, when he looks in the mirror it’s there, as always, on his forehead.

Rammeister reacted to Loughborough Ram in Paul Warne
Just to make a small defence of Paul Warne, for years we've had managers who, regardless of the opposition, refused to budge on their playing principals. The complaint for a long time has been, "we don't have a plan B"!
Well these days he changes formations, personal, and tactics within the games, to suit what is happening at the time, yet he is still criticised for his lack of tactical awareness.
Another criticism of him is his poor substitutions, but it seems to me that over the course of this season, his substitutions have won us quite a few points.
I get that you either like the bloke or don't, and there will always be some valid points to use against him, but some of the criticism of him seems baseless if you look at the facts in my opinion.
