LazloW got a reaction from i-Ram in Conor Washington - signed on a two-year-deal
That’s a very reasonable and cogent argument- which recognises that he has been OK and might now be past his best. Also that he is the kind of signing we’re probably restricted to at the moment (21 yr old Washingtons being a bit expensive unless we have great scouts picking then from non/lower league).  I  think calling him a “nothing player” without the qualification comes across as a tad harsh in these circumstances.

Maybe just don't resort to referring to him using insulting terms such as 'nothing player'... Nobody is asking you to be happy with who we sign, and you're entitled to criticism, but flippant, reductionist phrases like that are always going to wind people up. He's had a decent career, primarily playing in the second tier of English football. However you dress it up, he isn't a ''nothing player''; use your words better.

Never understand how quickly and easily fans are to rubbish their own players. I can accept that certain players aren't rated but to call one of our own a 'nothing player' when someone has played over 350 league matches is ludicrous!

This is the point, Some fans see the negative while others see the positive, Scapegoating is fare game for those who see the game differently to others...Unfortunately this is league1...not the top end of the EPL, Until we can splurge/spunk millions of £s on players then it's the Elders of this world who were our targets last summer.
It's those who pull on a shirt and do nowt but collect their wages at the end of the month...Thankfully we have none of those 🤷‍♂️

Couple of comments that Man City aren’t being treated the same. Haven’t they been charged with over 100 offences? I’m no expert on any of this, so might be completely different but they do seem to be going after City at least. Probably too any charges actually so will take too much time to sort out.
    Anyway, back on topic……

He’s obviously decided that he no longer wants a job in football. No club would touch this toxic twit (using my own personal swear filter) now.
I suspect, like many, he’s latched on to the fact there’s money to be made in being a ‘anti-woke’ (whatever that means) right wing, misogynist (at some point probably moving on to xenophobia and casual racism) bigot who will claim ‘free speech’ (just as an excuse to talk absolute drivel and be obnoxious about it while doing so).  The likes of Lawrence Fox have paved a way for a lucrative grift.

Just got home. That was fun. Absolutely freezing, terrible game and had my ears bombarded all night by a large number of young people who both a: seemed extraordinarily giddy about being outside and watching a football match b: seemed to know absolutely nothing about the game they were watching and c - seemed only able to shout incoherent drivel where one out of every three words was an obscenity (not that I’m prudish about swearing, you understand… I couldn’t give a f… it was the inane nature of it that was far more troubling. Just shouting for shouting’s sake - and not in a ‘there to support the team’ sort of way, just shouting. One young person seemed to be trying to impress his girlfriend but only succeeded in making himself look silly; sadly I doubt he had the personal insight to recognise this).
I might not have noticed this too much if the football had been in any way engaging but it wasn’t and so I can only reflect on the state of our young people and consider whether I was similarly stupid when I was their age.  I can only surmise that I probably was and that makes me sad.  It also makes me realise that I’m probably closer to death than I am to their age. Which also makes me sad.
So, yeah, thanks Paul and Co. I’ve probably got pneumonia, have become a grumpy old man shaking my fists at the youth of today and am pondering my own mortality… all because you couldn’t string two passes together against Bradford f’ing City.
